Oi Tanska, pitkästä aikaa!
/ Oh it's been a while, Denmark!
Ensimmäiset pari yötä vietimme puskaparkissa Amagerin rannalla Kööpenhaminassa - se oli niin kiva paikka! Lyhyen tien varrella oli monenmoista asuntoautoa ja pakua, rento tunnelma, ranta ihan vieressä ja niin paljon tutkittavaa joka puolella. Ja pyörällä pääsi keskustaan ihan hetkessä.
/ We spent the first two nights free camping on Amager beach in Copenhagen - it was such a nice place! There were all kinds of camper vans and cars on the side of a short road, relaxed mood, beach right next to us and so much to explore all around. And it was only a short bike ride away from the city center.
Käveltiin lähialueilla paljon, ihmeteltiin ja ihasteltiin tanskalaisten ruokakauppojen valikoimia, ostettiin maailman kalleimpia irtokarkkeja (ainakin Suomen hintoihin verrattuna), pyöräiltiin pitkin poikin ja sujahdettiin tanskalaiseen letkeän lempeään rytmiin heti.
/ We walked a lot near Amager, wondered and admired the selections of Danish grocery-shops, bought the most expensive pick'n'mix-candies (at least compared to Finnish prices), biked all around and slipped into the lenient, laid-back Danish rhythm right away.
Sanottiin Kööpenhaminalle hetkeksi heippa ja lähdettiin tutkimaan saaren eteläosia. Paljon pieniä, kapeita maalaisteitä, mielettömän kauniita maisemia ja sympaattisia pieniä kyliä. Käytiin mm. Langön ja Nakskovin seuduilla missä pyöräiltiin paljon ja syötiin parhaat ranskalaiset, Möns Klintillä iltakävelyllä ihailemassa valkoisia kalkkikivikallioita ja Stegessä tutkimassa pieniä katuja ja putiikkeja.
/ We said bye to Copenhagen for a while and went to explore the south parts of the island. Lots of tiny, narrow country roads, amazingly beautiful views and sweet little villages. We visited (among other places) Langö & Nakskov areas where we biked a lot and had the best french fries, had an evening walk at Möns Klint and admired the white chalk cliffs and in Stege where we explored little alleys and boutiques.
Upeita, tyhjiä hiekkarantoja kilometrikaupalla ja yksi reissun suloisimmista hetkistä Möns Klintin parkkipaikalla - ihana kissa tuli luoksemme ja kiehnäsi ja kehräsi ja oli niin söpö! Teki pahaa lähteä ja jättää toinen sinne.
/ Amazing, empty sand beaches miles after miles and one of the sweetest moments on our trip, on the parking area of Möns Klint - this lovely cat came to us and pushed herself on to us and purred and was just so cute! It felt bad to leave her there.
Hetkiä sieltä täältä - kallioilta, rannoilta, metsästä, kylistä ja Kööpenhaminasta. Palasimme etelästä parin yön jälkeen taas hetkeksi Kööpenhaminaan mistä jatkoimme matkaa saaren pohjoisosia kohti.
/ Moments from here and there - cliffs, beaches, forest, towns and Copenhagen. After couple nights we returned from the south back to Copenhagen again where we later continued towards the northern parts of the island.
Ylhäällä yksi lempipaikoistamme - loputtomalta tuntunut Tisvildelejen ranta sekä viereisen kylän ihana putiikki ja söpöin pinkki mökki Kööpenhaminassa.
/ On top one of our favorite places - the endless-feeling beach of Tisvildeleje and lovely boutique in the near village and the cutest pink cottage in Copenhagen.
Mieleenpainuvimmat hetket ja paikat olivat varmaankin Tisvildeleje sekä Dyrehaven, peurapuisto. Peurapuistossa seikkailimme yhden illan, pyöräillen pitkin poikin ja ihastellen sekä peuroja että itse puistoa. Niin paljon peuroja ja niin paljon upeita vanhoja puita! Olin taivaassa. Puiston laidalta löytyy myös Bakken - maailman vanhin toiminnassa oleva huvipuisto. Vierailimme siellä joskus muutamia vuosia sitten ja nyt pelmahdimme sinne pyörillä täysin vahingossa. Tällä kertaa ehditty kuin ihmettelemään ja syömään pehmikset :) Kävimme vielä miehen kanssa puistossa uudestaan pyörillä vähän ennen auringonlaskua ja seuraavana aamuna kävin siellä yksin. Se oli taianomainen aamu.
Tisvildelejeen saavuimme juuri juhannusaattona ja siellähän oli kunnon karkelot - oli puheita ja laulua sekä kokko. Ihana, rento tunnelma ihmispaljoudesta huolimatta.
/ The most memorable moments and places were probably Tisvildeleje and The Dyrehaven, deer park. We adventured one evening in the deer park, biking all around and admired both the deer and the park itself. So many deer and so many gorgeous old trees! I was in heaven. You can also find Bakken on the border of the deer park - it's the oldest amusement park in the world that is still in use. We visited it a few years ago and now we stumbled there just by accident with bikes. This time we only had time for a little wondering and eating soft-ice :) We also biked in the park before sunset with my husband and the next morning I went there all by myself. It was a magical morning.
We arrived in Tisvildeleje just on Midsummer's eve and there happened to be a real fest that evening - people doing speeches & singing and a bonfire. Lovely, relaxed mood despite the fact there were so many people.

Tämä viimeinen kuva on otettu Tukholman vanhasta kaupungista, viimeisenä päivänä laivan lähtöä odotellessa. Siellä oli kaunista mutta muuten Tukholma kyllä tuntui suorastaan kamalalta rennon Tanskan jälkeen. Joka puolella hirveä hässäkkä, sekava liikenne, ei yhden yhtä parkkipaikkaa (Kööpenhaminasta niitä löytyi keskustasta melkein mistä vaan) ja melkein kaikki tuijottamassa puhelimiaan - seikka mikä pisti silmään sillä Tanskassa sitä näkyi aivan hämmästyttävän vähän! Ihmiset viettivät aikaa keskenään, ehkä joku saattoi ottaa kuvan tai videota mutta puhelimilla ei oltu. Tai sitten emme vain nähneet yhtään sellaisia ihmisiä. Miten vain, se oli hienoa.
/ This last picture was taken in the Old Town of Stockholm, on the last day while waiting for our ship. It was beautiful but otherwise Stockholm felt downright terrible after laid-back Denmark. Crazy hustle everywhere, confusing traffic, not a single parking space (you could find them in Copenhagen almost anywhere) and almost everyone staring at their phone - thing that really caught our eye because you really didn't see it in Denmark! People actually spent time with each other, someone might take a picture or a video but they didn't hang on their phones. Or then we just didn't see that kind of people. Anyway, it was great.
