Thank You

Abi and I ventured up to Nottingham yesterday so that I could run in the Robin Hood Half Marathon.  There were something like 13,000 people running in some capacity yesterday.  Its an amazing experience to run 13 miles in a crowd!  The town of Nottingham put on a great event, with tons of cheerers, lots of water stands, and a jazz band playing live music.  I saw scooby doo, a caveman, a super hero, a cow, a mouse, and a man pushing another in a wheel chair.  It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.  If you get the chance, Nottingham is a great town with great architecture, fun history, and a fabulous shopping area.  On our drive home, we also detoured through Stratam to avoid some traffic.  We saw three huge churches and lovely brown stone buildings as we sat waiting for traffic lights.

I wanted to post a thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me as I trained and ran the half marathons...

To my husband and son, thank you for the support and the encouragement to run both half marathons.  Having you both in my life inspires me to be a better person.

To Abi, thanks for making the mini road trip with me, thanks for cheering for me, and thanks for encouraging me throughout the whole process.

To Julie S, thanks for training with me and for running the Mildenhall Half with me.  Yesterday wouldn't have gone so well if you hadn't been my running buddy!

To Anna E, thanks for watching Ollie on some of the long training runs...couldn't have done it without your help.

To friends and family, thanks for the encouragement and the congrats.  The kind words are very much appreciated!
