A Day at the Beach

I have been making use of some of the many photos printed and just left in a box, they have never made it in to an album!!  Lucy is 9 now and this was taken when she was 3, on a very cold January day at Redcar beach.

I have used Crumb Cake for my base and the Confetti stamp set for the background along with the gorgeous Medallion stamp - I don't think I had ever seen stamps as big as the background stamps Stampin' Up! sell.

I have picked up the colours of Lucy's clothes with my accent colours of Marina Mist and Pirroutte Pink.  The flowers are made from various circles punched and layered with a brad.  I made a fold out strip for my journaling with the new Decorative Label punch, tied with some lovely taffetta ribbon. My title was stamped with my favourite Schoolbook Serif alphabet and cut out.

Lucy lookd slighty bewildered in the first photos, as Darran had burried her pink wellingtons in the sand and she couldn't move, she obviously wasn't too bothered by this.

Boy Racer Scrapbook Layout

I have been really enjoying making my scrapbook album and as I used photos of Lucy in most of my layouts so far I thought I should make something nice for Philip.

In October half term last year we went to Legoland, so I thought I would use the lovely photo's of Philip at the driving school.  Philip is utterly car mad this was his favourite ride at Lego Land.

I have used the bright and cheerful Celebrations papers and accent stickers with Pacific Point and Real Red card. I used the very versatile School Book Serif Alphabet stamp set for my titile, stamped in Paciffic Point ink on to Whisper White card, I cut each of the letters out. I had a "light bulb" moment and made a set of traffic lights for my next page using the Brights button collection.

I still need to add a pocket for journaling as every picture tells a story there is a part of it missing in these photos - Philip spent most of his time in the car trying to "park" with the man at the ride thinking he was stuck helping him to drive away again!!!  Its something I must add as I know in time these quirky moments will be forgotten.

Birthday Wishes .......

Philip has been to another Birthday party at soft play this week.  I made this card for his friend Charlie who was celebrating his 4th Birthday.

I have used the All in the Family stamp set with the matching accessory stamp set for the footballs and I have stamped "Charlie" with the Just Perfect Alphabet stamp set. I added faux stitching on the white card to create a boarder.  I used the large circle punch for the sweet treat cup, then I made a sliding door so you can take the sweets out with out damaging the card.

I used the larger Schoolbook Serif numbers to stamp 4 on the sliding door, this shows once the sweets are removed!!   I'm sure the sweets won't stay in there too long!!!

Birthday Wishes .......

A quick post this morning to share the card I have made for my friends daughter - Happy Birthday Anya!!!!

I have made this card with the Schoolbook serif alphabet and number stamp sets.  I love these sets they are so useful for making personalised cards and scrapbook pages.  I have covered them with crystal effects and sprinkled dazzling diamonds over to give them a little sparkle.  I love using the All in the Family stamp set too, so many different combinations and uses - perfect to make a football card for a girl!! The footballs are stamped from the All in the Family accessory stamp set, I have punched them out and popped them up with diamensionals.

Will be back soon with more cards to share, once the shopping, cleaning and washing are done - ooh the excitement!!!

Cards for Dad .......

I have been very good this year and made two Fathers Day cards, usually I would buy them, as most of my stamps are cute or girly, not really suitable for mens cards.  Now I have my Stampin' Up! stamps, I have so many stamps that are perfect for many different occasions.

I do addmit this was a very last minute card, I think it was almost 12.30am when I finished this one!!!  I have made an origami shirt with a ribbon tie that Julie kindly sent me the tutorial for, you can see the card Julie made here.  Seeing the card made of ties that Sarah posted last night gave me this inspiration for my card.  I have used theA to Z stamp for the background, the colours are Taken with Teal and Soft Suede. the paper for the shirt is from the sweet pea stack and the greeting is from the Best Wishes & More set.

Lucy was pleased to find this card ready for her to give this morning as she said it was just like what Dad goes to work in!!???

Fortunately I made this card a few weeks ago!!!  This card has been made with the Schoolbook Serif alphabet stamp set and the fantastic All in theFamily set, which has so many possibilities, you can even add the family pet!!! The colours are Real Red and Tempting Turquoise, I coloured the "Lucy & Philip" in with my stampin Write markers.

It has been slightly warmer today, but certainly not the kind of day you would sit out in the garden, its the dreaded North Sea coast that inflicts us with cold winds and thick cloud!!  Hope you have had a lovely weekend and enjoyed some sunshine!!!

Birthday Girls ......

I have been busy with cards for Philip's friends at nursery agian, as today he is at another Birthday party!!!
It is time for twins Lucy and Emily to celebrate their 4th Birthday, they are such sweet little girls!!

I have made both cards using Pumpkin Pie and Pink Passion card and ink, such vibrant colours, but I think they work so well together!!  I have stamped their names with the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, and I have used the All in the Family set for the little girls along with the matching accessory set for the balloons and presents. The ballons have been coated with a thin layer of Crystal Effects and covered with the gorgeous Dazzling Diamonds glitter.   I have just added a tab of wide stripped grosgrain ribbon in Pumpkin Pie to finish them off.

I love all the ribbons that Stampin' Up! sell but in particular the wide 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. It's the perfect ribbon for so many occassions and it's unbelievable soft which makes it fabulous for tying gorgeous puffy bows really easily.  Many of my customers love this ribbon so I've been offering sampler packs in all 4 of the colours - pumpkin pie, old olive, basic black and chocolate chip.

You can buy a mixed pack of these beautiful ribbons from me for just £4.75 including postage and packing.  You will receive 1 meter of each colour in the pack,  e-mail me to buy your ribbon pack before they are all gone!!

This week at Sweet Stampin' the challenge is "Get Personal", so I am entering my cards as they are perfect with the girls names on them!!

Party On .......

Today it's Philip's turn to party!!!  I have made another special Birthday card for his friend, using the same stamp sets as before, they are really easy to make, and the children at nursery love to receive a special card with their name on.

I have used the schoolbook serif alphabet with the "stamp-ma-jig" available from Stampin' Up!, this is an essential part of my card making now as you can line your stamps up perfectly every time!!  I have stamped the younger boy from the All in the Family set, with the football from the accessory set. I have coloured the image with stampin' write markers and blender pens.

I think after today I will be all partied out!! Just as well there is a bank holiday tomorrow!!!  Hopefully the weather will be kind as we are planning a trip to Harewood House, they have Peppa Pig, Noddy and Fireman Sam (children's tv characters for those without little ones) so this should appeal to Philip!!  Hope you enjoy the weekend and some good weather too!!!
