October Sketch #3: 12x12

Here's a sketch made for a star...

Seven
by Jenn. S.

I love that Jenn really looked at this sketch in a different way. She took the star aspect and instead of building it into a paper layer, she took it and used it like an embellishment! So clever! She did take the basis of the photos from the sketch and moved them to the right. Awesome use of the sketch Jenn! Love those stitched stars!

July Sketch: 8.5x11

A sketch with LOTS of photos for you today...

60 Years Young
by Aphra

For this beautiful page by Aphra, she has removed one of the photo's from the sketch and shifted the layout base to compliment her wonderful photos. I love the row of die cut butterflies that she used from our sponsor's kit this month, The Paper Passion. A beautiful page Aphra!

Climbing the Walls
by Zoe

I love the subject that Zoe chose to scrap about using this sketch... climbing walls; perfect for the placement of all the photos in the sketch. I love the clock images she has used to mimic the flourish in the design. A super fun page Zoe!

There is only one more sketch for July and then we'll have our DOWNLOAD day for July! Yippee!

We haven't had a double page sketch for awhile so I thought I'd throw this one in the mix...

Last Stand
by Jenn S.

I love Jenn's interpretation of this sketch! I love the label shaped journaling area instead of the long rectangle and I love that she's used a brochure from her trip tucked under the small photo on the right hand side of her page. Wonderful page Jenn!

I love all the fun papers that Tonya has used to create the base design for her sweet photos here. She even used some fun stitched on pleated paper for added texture. Gorgeous use of the sketch Tonya!

Julie took the center of the sketch and made it into her 12x12 page. I love the butterflies that she cut and used all over her beautiful page! Wonderful layout Julie!

I love all the cute photos Abbie has used her her 2 page sketch layout. She has enlarged her journaling area of her page and she took over one of the photos spots from the sketch to fit everything on her page. Great page Abbie!

May Sketch: 12x12

A fun sketch with lots of strips of paper; a great sketch to use up your scraps!

Strike 'Em Out!
by Kristii

Kristii has taken the multiple photos from the sketch and used 3 of them as mini photos and then included 3 more larger photos instead of her journaling space. I love that Kristii has incorporated the woven strips into her layout too. Stunning masculine page Kristii!

Nature's Beauty
by Julie

Julie has also altered the photo aspect of this sketch to include one large photo on her layout. I love that she's used a large gemstone flourish that over laps her large photo. Stunning page Julie!

Special Gifts
by Julie

This holiday beauty created by Julie was taken directly from the sketch design. Julie has matched every design detail, even the stripe across the page. Gorgeous use of the sketch Julie!

Earth Hour
by Wendy

Wendy has taken the whole sketch and condensed it into her single page. She's maximized the size of title semi-circle so she use the fun paper "Earth" on her design.

Wendy has also used one of the Creative Chaos labels to document her date and time of the event. Great use of the simple and fun labels!

On My Own
by Kristii

I love the fact that Kristii has used some of the mini squares on the sketch as some of her many photos on her fantastic page! Her large main photo sets the width across her page and her matching title and floral elements are very cool! Wonderful 2 page spread Kristii!

Another rising popular size of scrapbooking page is a 12x6 size. Here's the first of the 12x6 sketches for you!

Mimzy
by Savitri

I absolutely love this darling page by Savitri! She actually has her photos and some of her paper elements hanging right off of her page... so cool! And look at that sweet face and all the little critters on her page! All I can say is... awwwwwwwwwwww!!! Great work Savitri!

Diggin' the Dinos
by Wendy

I love that Wendy has taken the sketch to the next level and used a wavy shape instead of the circle design on the page! And the intended scallops have become her button elements! Her little man is just too cute with that grin and all his dino pals! So adorable Wendy!!

{Faith}
by Kristii

OUT FOR PUBLICATION!!!

CONGRATS KRISTII!!!

Kristii had sent me some background about her layout and I asked her if I could share it with all of you. She said that she didn't mind so I thought I'd post it for you to read...

I decided to do a layout for my middle daughter as she begins her junior year of college.
She is going into nursing and she did not make the first cut of nursing school, even with a 3.67 GPA. Very discouraging!!

The quote states: Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid {Faith} in yourself. That is why some people with mediocre talent but with great inner drive go much further than people with vastly superior talent. ~Sophia Loren

Thanks Kristii for not only sharing your beautiful page but also a piece of you! Thanks so much!!!
