We've had an active last few days visiting with family, attempting to get organized on some projects, and trying to beat off cold like symptoms. We seem to have been victorious over the colds for the most part now so we are grateful for that. Kai also suddenly has a molar type tooth that has popped through so that might explain some things as well. Sunday we had a BBQ at Kennedy's house and all the
grandkids had a great time playing together. I forgot my camera so sorry for no pictures.
Last night Kai got to play with Jake and Emmy at Grandma and Grandpa's while Lance and I went out to dinner with one of the partner lawyers and her husband from his firm. We went to the
New Yorker restaurant downtown which is a super nice private club type place. We had a really nice time. The food was amazing and we really like this couple. The husband is a Humanities professor at the University of Utah so talking with him takes us back to our
Pepperdine world a bit.
Anyway, it was a nice night and when we got back to Kai he seemed quite content to be with his cousins. They are all so funny together. Seeing Kai around his girl cousins Kennedy and Emmy sure clearly displays the differences in the sexes. :)
The weather has been beautiful and warm here so I think Kai and I are going to go take advantage of it and spend some time outdoors at a local park with the cousins for lunch. We still have plenty of time for snow to return this year so everyone is trying to max out on the short sleeves while they can.
