Choose your battles!!
As many of you mothers (who have gone through raising a 4 year old) you may understand what I'm talking about here. Do you ever fight with your 4 year old about what he can and can't wear? Well this is what we go through everyday at the Sohm household. This is just one of the many outfits that Garrett picks to wear himself. One of the worst he picked I didn't take a picture of it. Let's just say he has these orange and gray exercise pants that he had on with his red batman shirt. Let me tell you that matched really well and to top it all off he had his Lightning McQueen boots on that you see in the picture. I could care less if we wears these things around the house but he wants to wear them to Preschool, Target and many other places we have to go in the day. I decided that it's not worth putting up the fight and there are other "battles" that I will win that are worth my time instead of these battles with the clothes he wears. I think that if I'm at Target every mother out there with 4 year olds will understand why my child is dressed the way he is. Anyone out there feel the same way?

Spring!!
It's finally getting warm out and we get to play outside. I had to get a picture of Garrett riding his friend Courtney's "pink" Jeep. I don't think he really cared that it was pink. He loved every second of it. Camri enjoyed riding with Garrett as well until Garrett started to drive when Camri was standing up and she fell out. Don't worry she's ok. I'm so glad the weather is getting warmer and we can play outside more. There is one problem though...everyone (including mom's) on my street are always outside in the afternoon and so it makes me want to be outside and not inside getting things done. So Eric I have to tell you now if dinner isn't done when you get home and the house is a mess you can blame all of the neighbors.
Family Night
So I've been kind of a slacker lately on posting pictures. So I have a little catching up to do. I watched Turia's kids the other night on Family Night so we decided to make smores. The Bollard's also came over with their daughter.
If you can't tell Camri tried to shove the whole marshmallow in her mouth. The kids have so much fun going out and making smores and roasting hot dogs. Thanks eric for doing such a good job with the fire pit. Now we just need to finish it when the weather gets warmer. Summer comes with all sorts of fun projects.
This picture makes me laugh..My nephew ( in the blue fleece) was standing back that far and trying to roast his marshmallow. It was the cutest thing. He kept asking..is it done yet? is it done yet? It was so cute.
