An Alternate Xmas....

Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a great xmas!

Today I am sharing one last xmas creation using a SLS Lines image and digital patterned papers all available at the Etsy Store! I added cute little monsters to this balloon gal - she normally has balloons but for some fun I changed the balloons to monsters and added digital xmas hats to them all (also available from the store).

You can see the full instructions on how I made this card over at the Unruly Paperarts Site - all the supplies and step by step pics are in my article!!

Hope you are all looking forward to New Years Eve and a very creative 2016!!!

Keep your eye out for new images coming in January and lots more inspiration from the DT plus our monthly challenges in 2016!!

Xmas Postcard...

Hi Everyone

Sharon here again sharing some more xmas inspiration - this time something a little different!!!

I hosted a "postcard" swap and the theme was "non-traditional" xmas so I just could not resist using this "Calavera Girl" available at the SLS Lines Etsy Store along with the digital clip art xmas hats!!!

The image was printed on card and I added the hat - before printing of course LOL and I then coloured the image with copic markers (hat already coloured as it is clipart from SLS Lines)!!
I cut to postcard size and added a few layers of varnish to protect it in the post, added a postcard back, wrote a xmas message to my swap partner, added a stamp and posted off - real mail art!!! It arrived safely too!

Hope this may inspire you to think outside the box for xmas!!!

Aargh Humbug!!!!!!!!

Hello Fans!

Today I am sharing some super quick and easy Xmas Cards - you know Xmas is coming and I bet some of you are still not ready (truth be known neither am I - too busy working!!)

These cards are a bit of fun and use digi monster stamps and digital papers and clip art - ALL available at the store!

Here's some links for you to the items I have used:
AND these monsters are also available as a clipart set if you want some pre-coloured:
And the link for the little Xmas Hats & Digital papers:

No excuses to not be creating LOL!

I don't normally do CAS style - I always want to add things and then it's not really CAS but I think the little scary monsters with their added xmas hats are really enough for these cards!!

Remember to play along in our current challenge too - we always love to be inspired by you as well!

Happy creating for xmas.......

Sharon

New Releases in time for Xmas!!!!

Hi Everyone!

Are you ready to see this month's new releases??
You will love them - three great quirky xmas themed images to create with!

Firstly a "Sugar Plum Fairy":

And lastly a really quirky "Crazy Holiday Aunt" LOL:

And of course the DT have outdone themselves with their creative creations with these new images!!!

Love this shaped card by Lori using the Sugar Plum Fairy image:

This is so sweet by DT Susan - easel cards always look so effective and this little angel/fairy is so cute!

Vicky loves working in her journals like me and has created this great xmas themed page with the Crazy Aunt - don't you just love the grin on her face?

Kate has made this really clever sweets holder with the cute sugar plum fairy:

I love the soft colours of Bettina's treats basket and her colouring in is always beautiful!

I think everyone must like sweet treats for xmas because Belinda has made a little goodies basket too - this looks really intricate!

And my journal page using the Crazy Aunt - this image really cracks me up! This could be either xmas or any occasion with alternate colours.

Holley's gothic xmas card is great - I always love "alternate/non traditional" creations at this time of the year!

And lastly one more Sugar Plum Fairy creation by myself - a collage and layered tag for xmas:

So what are you waiting for - get yourself over to the store nab these images along with the other amazing xmas images and get creating!!

Remember to check out our current challenge for a chance to win images.

And check back here at the blog regularly for DT inspiration, announcements and all things "SLS"!!!!

Christmas Zombie Head - Crafting Vicky

Well my timing couldn't be more wrong.... it's super nice here actually still looking like SUMMER which technically it is!  But there are some Christmas stuff popping up here and there... and I'm totally well feeling like this card... so maybe actually my timing is right lol.  I mean... why would you have Christmas stuff out before Halloween is even beginning?!?  Or fall?!? man.... weird times.  Anyway I'm here to share my make with the precolored image that comes with the set  Christmas Zombie Head.  I really love how this is colored and it was just perfect for a fast and fun card for some of my more dark crafty friends for this upcoming Christmas :).

I found some paper in my Christmas stash that didn't look too Christmasy and I'm really loving how this turned out!

You can find the details on how I made this on my blog.

Hope you have liked my inspiration for you go and check out the fabulous digis in the store.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Hugs

Challenge #11 Christmas/Creepmas in July

Welcome to a brand new challenge at SLS Lines! We were thrilled to see so many more entries last time and we will discuss and debate and post our winners in a few days time, so make sure you come back to see!

GUEST DT SPOTS!

Would you like to be a guest designer for us here at SLS Lines?! If so, pop your entry in this month's challenge and add 'GDT' to your name. Maybe mention in your post that you'd like to guest here too. There's nothing too strenuous, a project for the next challenge and maybe one or two other projects if you are willing!

This month, the theme is Christmas... or if you prefer the darker side, go for Creepy Christmas!

Our team have been playing with some of the fabulous SLS Lines images and have some inspiration for you below.

 Susan

We hope you have been inspired and look forward to seeing what you create!
