My "Super Metobolic Husband"

Sladesnews--
I, Sara, just wanted to add that my sweet husband just got a raise.!!$$ ( A raise in his hourly and commissions.)
He is allowed to charge the highest amount for people signing up to train with him, therefor getting the highest commision off the sale! He just received a new uniform as the ONLY "Elite Master-Trainer" at the huge gym where he works. He has changed people lives, educated and saved people's lives, and he is the only one there that is well trained (certified) and knowledgable on working with pregnant women throughout each of their trimesters! (Aaaaw!)
He has had several clients who request him after they get pregnant again, because they say his nutritional and fitness program made their first pregnancy and recovery very easy. He teaches people that it is more about what they eat, than how much they work-out. He helps keep them fit, motivated and "heart-healthy". He practices what he preaches and he's sort-of a freak about health and fitness. I GOT LUCKY, eh?? I love him.

Gr/Gr: Yay, Daniel! You are truly a Super Metabolic Man! I want to hire you the next time I get pregnant.

(How do you rate the South Beach Diet? It just seems to make a lot of sense. It stirs up some awakening feelings I had back in the 70s...whole grains, right kinds of fats, etc. Jenne's doing it, and I really enjoy that doctor's ideas, most of them.)

Well, I'll see what he says when he gets home from work. In general, Danny loathes diets, because they are not a long-term reality. However, his Mom did lose 10 lbs on that diet before our Hawaii wedding...but then she gained it all back plus some...
So, the key is, (like Aunt Jenne says) to maybe use something like the South-Beach diet to get you started; but realistically, we just need to follow the Word of Wisdom. Daniel follows the word of Wisdom without even knowing it!! (hehe) Eat in harmony with our bodies and the Earth as much as we can balance that is! I recently heard a saying, "To avoid NOISY foods. Sugar and other processed foods are noisy foods."
Interesting eh? Noisy for our bodies, therefor noisy for our souls. I'm no saint though...I have a real sweet-tooth...!!

I've fallen off the South Beach wagon a little bit--it's hard to be 100% true. But the amazing thing about this diet is that is shouldn't be a diet, is should be a way of life. Once you get to the third phase, it's pretty much just the Word of Wisdom--whole grains, fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds--with moderate amounts of meat and only the low fat kinds, including lots of good fish in the diet. So, I'm just trying to eat good, whole foods. If a food has been changed in any way from it's natural state, something has been taken away that our bodies need.

It sounds like Daniel is like the Daniel from the Old Test! Daniel's diet was lots of whole grains, nuts, seeds, fruits, etc. (Pulse, as they call it in the bible). So neat, Sara, that you married such an amazing guy--who is in tune with his body, helping so many others. What a great life purpose to be living!

Gr/Gr: Medakovinator... love it--truly a "Jake-coined" word. No one else in this whole world could think of that except Jakey.

And I love that concept of avoiding noisy foods.....how noisy is diet coke being sipped through a straw? har de har.

That's true, Jen, that it shouldn't be termed a "diet." Just as Daniel of old, who got his information straight from the Lord, didn't call it a diet; and Joseph Smith, who received the Word of Wisdom straight from the Lord didn't call it a diet either.
Kinda reminds me of what Beth said about the Feingold Program (which she is incorporating into her family life)... Those good people are careful to not call their plan a "diet," also.
It's so invigorating reading thoughts coming from your bright brains! Love it!
