we had our first class 'outing' aka club & resorts field trip.
it was pretty fun, given that there was no lecture and tutorial for the week :D
awesome place with lan computers, pool table, table-soccer, wii etc.
groupmates :D
an attempt to take the whole bus. haha.
it was a good sightseeing day.
country clubs. hmm.
i can only afford membership for a... community club! -.-
(and we came up with all sorts of club like taf club which is free! HAHA)

overdued posts.from 2 weeks ago.
30th october; centre of new life wind ensemble concert @ mrs lee choon guan concert hall (acs barker)
it was a pretty good concert :D
anyway i'm so lazy to elaborate, shall let photos do the talking.

31st october; ntu concert - prismatique.
met val and siying for concert at ntu!
and i remembered we had koi, val bought from chinatown haha.
finally tried hazelnut milk tea, NICE! :D
quite some time since i attended concerts.
probably months...
the last one was the meiden one we went for after sibf in july, i think?
2nd november; dinner with regina and silin @ jurong point
we finally met after months!
had dinner at benten. (jap food lol)
then we took neoprint for cheap thrill!
this machine used to be our best friend.
we can take neoprints up to 5 times a week after band practices!
i still have the neoprint book i pasted all the neoprints into.
those were the days..
i miss those cedar band days, sigh.

this post is so emotional.too much thoughts are running through my head i can't list all into words.
and i guess they will only happen in my dreams.
i envy the band life that they have.
i admire their perseverance skills and never-good-enough attitude.
i would love to experience this kind of band life.
i want to watch all japan band competition live at least once in my life.
(this is not part of dreaming, i will make it come true)
the way they make decisions as a band.
the way they encourage each other in order to achieve the same goal.
the way they are taught, musically and in life.
the amount of hard work and determination they are willing to put in for the gold.
i really really really take my hats off to them, and bow till my head hits the floor.
i'm glad i had a chance to meet meiden.
one of the greatest thing that happened in my life.
given that i'm a japanese band scene fan...
"There is no perfection in music.
Therefore, it pursues it more.
I want to do music that they are made to be impressed more."
- these lines from hayato inspired me.
though i have almost given up on the singapore band culture, maybe i should live in self-denial and be happy in my own little bubble world.
the more you picture the perfect outcome, the more frustrated you get.
and then you give up, and join the dark side.
i miss the feeling of working towards a common goal as a band.
and the days when we shed tears of disappointment and joy.
it reminded me of the past few syfs we attended.
and probably the next coming one.
原来我始终还是放不下。
on a side note: tonight is over.
still deep in thoughts but...
i shall focus on jap oral after i wake up.

band practices.i don't seem to be as happy playing now.
i don't seem to be as excited for practices now.
i think differently when i listen to band music now.
so, what is band to me now?
gotta do some soul-searching after my jap exams.
and get myself down to practising my strokes all over again.
(confirm can't do my strokes properly now already)
i don't want the passion to die just like that.
looking forward to sws practices now.
the people. the songs. the full section and its percussive sound.
life is always good.
if you don't think too much into it.
