Canvas

I got a request from a friend, to make a Birthday-gift for her hubby, with photo of their son.

 For a long time I have wanted to make a canvas with photo on and this was the perfect opportunity to try that.

 The canvas is 20x30cm.
 Done a lot of work on the background.
 First covered the canvas with Black Gesso and next white Gesso by Art Anthology.
Next a layer with Tim Holtz tissue paper and some white Gesso on top of that again.

 Then I took some canvas letters by Prima and glued vertically on the left side - the son's name: Mathias
 Next I used a stencil and Art Anthology Stone Effects "Bone" and Colorations "Sandcastle" and "Raider".
 Also added some Metal effects "Bronze", especially on the metal.

She is brave - DT Art Anthology

This month we are doing the breast cancer awareness at Art Anthology.

A terrible , and sometimes deadly disease!

Just after we got our theme for October post I heard that one of my creative friends had been diagnoced with breast cancer and I knew I wanted to make something for her.
Not that this canvas would help her in any way, but just so she knew I was thinking of her. So she's already got the canvas when this post is out.

New shoes - DT Art Anthology

Hi peeps!

Summer is gone here in Norway and fall is all around us.

But I still dream about the fabolous summer we have experienced here this year and today I'm sharing a layout, with good memories for just this summer.

How about some new shoes?
Do you love shoes?
I do love all kind of shoes but have not enough space (or money) to buy all of them.
But these shoes shouted "buy me, buy ME!!!"

On this layout  for Art Anthology I have used the awesome Stone Effects in color Bone and Sandsone with stencils.
And of course lots of Colorations spray inks, in colors: hottie, heart, timeless and paprika
Some Gesso on the flowers and also on the background before using the mist.

I'm using a lot of bright colors nowadays and just love it! (guess I'm not over summer yet)

Back to school - art journal featuring Art Anthology

Hi folks, hope you all are well!

School has just started here in Norway, our youngest now in 8th grade (we have 1-7grade and they start new school from 8-10) and our oldest in second year in high school.

Since we are thinking of school at Art Anthology I have made an art journal spread with that theme.

Found some papers by BoBunny with shool theme and used bits of those.

Some details:
Here I have used Dimensional Crystal "red corvette" on parts of the stamp
Also some Stone effect - "sandstone"
The new Art Anthology stencil "dottie" with the yellow Velvet - "lemon tart"

The blue Velvet "Reef" and the red Velvet "desire"

Used a black pen to add some details on the numbers and letters

Art journaling again

Hi all my creative friends!

Hope you all are well and enjoying the weekend.

A bit quiet from me lately, but no worries, I am creating a lot, just not been on web that much during the summer.

Here is an Art Journal again, having a bit fun (well, I always have fun creating) with stencils, magazine photo and medium.

This page is made partly at home and partly on vacation on Crete.

I have used some Art Anthology Colorations , Art Anthology Stone effect Lava, Gelatos in different colors and stencils by The Crafter's Workshop

Memory lane - DT Poppydesign

 Dagens prosjekt fra meg er en LO og denne gangen har jeg brukt et gammelt bilde av min far og meg.

Har virkelig kost meg med å lage denne layouten og som dere ser er det mye "gøy" på bakgrunnen.

Har brukt masse maling, gel medium og mist for å få den slik.
Jeg har brukt ark fra "My art journal"-blokken Vibeke Spigseth - Poppydesign har designet for Panduro.
Denne blokken er rett og slett genial og jeg elsker det at det er flere av samme ark, da kan man tillate seg å "fråtse" litt.
Som jeg har gjort her, brukt samme arket på bakgrunnen og kuttet det opp i biter under bildet.

Har også fått brukt litt av en av nyhetene til Art Anthology - Stone effects. Disse er kule altså!
