TMS 458
I've been wanting to use this image for awhile now. He's from the "Les Jungles" set from Katzelkrat. Isn't he hilarious?!! There are 6 animals in the set but the giraffe and the elephant are my favorites! The inside says, "Maybe Swearing Will Help?" I have a loved one going through some troubles and I think this card will be perfect for her.
I'm using the sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. I love the simple sketches that allow the images to shine; I just rotated the sketch to fit my wonderful giraffe.
I'm also joining in the "Odd Animals" challenge over on the Art Impression blog. The only animals I have of AI's are cats and dogs and even though they are wearing clothes ... I don't think they qualify as "odd." This guy definitely does!

Clearing My Desk
Have you ever lost something and then in the process of trying to find that thing, find a million other really cool things? Yeah me neither (insert smirk). I KNEW that I had printed the Gerda Steiner image of the month but when it came time to use it ... couldn't find it!
Yes, I could of printed another copy but it was time to clean. Frankly, my creative space can get pretty cluttered when I'm trying to bang out a month of required cards in just a few days.
Anywho, I found THIS stamp from Wild Rose Studios that I bought sometime last year after a friend gave me two of their images. Once I used it, I knew that I had to own it.
The other good news is that I FOUND my Gerda Steiner image sometime during my great paper purge.
Using this image on a project allows me to qualify for next month's freebie. I decided to join in the fun over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site.

OBG: Tuesday Morning Sketches 446
It's time for a card featuring an Oldie But Goodie image from the Bugaboo shop. I don't send out many Easter cards (there are just too many birthdays around Easter that I just don't have time to make them) but this year ... I've made one.
For my card, I used the darling image: Egg Tulip Bunny. Jodie has lots of cute Easter images; hop on over to the Bugaboo site (see what I did there?!! Insert a rimshot) for more cute Easter images.
I'm also joining in the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site. Their sketch worked perfectly with this image.

Oh Chute!!
After I made this card, my 15 year old came into the room and said, "I like it except for the ugly rabbit image." (What?!!) Regardless of his opinion, I stand behind my image choice. I love Cat's Pajama's cute rabbits.
I'm joining in several challenges with my card. I used the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge. I rotated their sketch to make it work for clouds and I am low on black enamel dots, so thus, the two instead of three!
I'm also joining in The Library Challenge of Watership Down by Richard Adams. The Librarian suggested that you be inspired by the cover, the title or the story. I chose the story. If you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it. I cried at the end but really I cry at the drop of a hat so .... yeah.
Jeannie over on Dragonfly Journey's wanted to see some Bunnies, Chicks or Ducks. Done!

Oldie But Goodie
I needed a manly birthday card for my nephew. He is one of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing ... kind, hard-working, and a great father to boot. So happy birthday Andrew. I hope your day is wonderful.
I used one of my favorite Bugaboo images. It's from the Under The Sea Birthday set. It's so darn versatile that it has become a staple in my folder of printed images. This little cutie works for both genders!
Hop on over to the Catch The Bug blog to see some more cards using Oldie But Goodie images.
I'm also joining in the fun over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. I loved their sketch as well as the "red" theme on the Dragonfly Journeys blog.

Gerda Steiner January
I'm quickly popping in to share my take on the Gerda Steiner progressive challenge. She gave us this cute little Panda for January. How sweet is he? Using him on any project this month allows me to be eligible for next month's image. I can't wait to see what she sends.
I'm joining in the sketch challenge over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.
I also participated in the Tic-Tac-Tuesday challenge on the Try Stamping' On Tuesday site. I chose the top row: Black, a Die cut and Pink.
What a fun way to be occupied on laundry day.

Just Be-Paws I Care
This is one of my very favorite images in the Bugaboo shop. How goofy is that sweet dog's face?!! The name of the image is Funny Pup. I needed a silly card to send off to a friend. I just found out that he fell and broke some ribs. Yikes. I wish I lived closer so I could help out more.
I'm joining in the fun over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site. This is their inaugural sketch of 2018 and I really liked the sketch. I did rotate it so I could use my image tho.
I'm also participating in the "Anything Goes" theme on the Crafty Sentiments site.

Gerda Steiner November Challenge
Squeaking this one in ... I have ONE day left in the month of November and I finally finished my card (did ya' catch my funny pun? It's a mouse and I am squeaking it in? Ha!! I kill myself!)
It was a busy month but I wanted to be sure to use this darling image from Gerda Steiner. Since I used this image, I will get next month's image for FREE! It's a great way to collect Gerda's sweet images. There is STILL 24 hours left in the month to join in the fun.
I'm using the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. It was the perfect sketch to showcase this little mouse.

TMS 420 "Fried" But In a Different Way
Yes, I'm fried ... but unfortunately mine does NOT involve the beach, sun and a margarita. I am fried aka - super tired. I had 2 meetings in Denver and ugly traffic on the I. Can I just say to our state's budgeting committee ... please fix the Interstate now. Widen it. Soon.
But this is how I WISH that I had spent my morning.
I'm using the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site. Too cute. I love the simple sketches.
I'm also joining in the fun on the QKR Stampede site of Anything goes as well as ...
the fun on the City Crafter Challenge Blog. They asked to see something that I did over the summer. If you were to plug in a billion kids at the local pool, then yes, this IS something that I did this summer!

A Little Mousie Told Me It Was Your Day
Still playing with the fun interactive stamps from Art Impressions. I LOVE this cat though I wish that I had more things to put in his mouth ... a bird, a ball, etc. (get on that AI! How cute would that be, maybe with a "I'm on the ball" phrase? Hmm?!!)
Using the darling sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.

The Silver Lining
I needed a thank you card to give my aunt for the wonderful weekend that she provided. I think that we all gained about 5 pounds from the wonderful food that she provided. Yummy.
I used the sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketches site. I also used chevron paper to satisfy Jeannie's Chevron Chic challenge on her Dragonfly Journeys blog.
I'm also entering the following challenges
Addicted to Stamps: Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner: Punches And/Or Dies
The House that Stamps Built: Anything Goes

TMS 416: Coffee ... Best Meal of the Day!
I had to go to the doctor this morning. One of the questions she asked was "How much caffeine are you having each day?" Apparently, "umm, a lot" was not the answer she wanted to hear. Time to cut back. This will not be a good time for my family; pray for their survival!
I'm joining in the challenge over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site. I really liked the simplicity of the sketch and their sponsor is one of my very favorites.

Gerda Steiner Progressive
Six days left in the school year and we have snow predicted for tomorrow. Is it terrible that I'm hoping that the district will burn a snow day and give us a day off tomorrow (we've got quite a few that are unused!)?!! I'm still tuckered out from the graduation festivities last weekend. I'm pretty sure that a bit of a sleep-in would take care of that!
And speaking of taking care of things, I banged out the card for the Gerda Steiner Progressive challenge that she has each month. The May challenge was to use this sweet image, Flower's For You. Want to join in the fun? Simply buy this one and make a project. The next month's image will be yours for free.
I'm also using the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketch site. I LOVE when the sketches are simple and totally usable.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 402
I'm finishing up the last of my Mother's Day cards. These are the last two. This first one is headed off to my sister. When I saw this sentiment from Riley, I knew that I had to have it ... who doesn't want a butt-load of wine?!!
I'm using Lovelle from Art Impressions and the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
For my second card, I used the sketch from the Sunday Stamps blog. I dug out my Happy Hopper stamps to use for this card.
Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there.

TMS 397: Swagger
I'm pretty sure that I broke my friend.
I JUST bought this stamp set and the same day that it arrived, she slipped on some ice and broke her ankle. Coincidence? I think not.
Actually I bought this AI set because another friend's husband broke HIS leg on some ice too. At the time, I wondered if I should also buy the woman set but I didn't. I'm a little sad now because it would have been PERFECT!! Oh well, next time I shop.
I'm using the sketch on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site. I loved it's simplicity; so easy to use again and again.
I'm also submitting this card to the Art Impression blog for their "Wish You Felt Better" challenge. Perfect timing huh?!!

TMS 394 Lucky You
I'm just finishing up my monthly obligations so I'm free to head off to Arizona. This is my card using the monthly free From The Heart image. It's called Lucky Lil' Birdie. If you purchase and use this image within the month of March, you will get April's image for free. Who doesn't love free stuff?
I'm using the sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketch blog. I needed a sketch to give my mojo a jump-start this morning. Too many things going on in my brain to allow for much creativity.
I'm also participating in Jeannie's "Lucky Charm" theme over on Dragonfly Journeys.

Sick Kiddo cards
Still at home with a sick child so even with vacuuming, laundry and bathroom cleaning ... I have time to craft. I had a bunch of From The Heart images pre-printed so I decided to use them.
This is Birthday Cat Pout and I just love his little face. I'm using the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I rotated the sketch to fit my image.
My second card is for my teamie, Kathie, who just fell and broke both her tibia and fibula. Ouch. I again used a FTH image, but this time I used Feel Better Birdbrain.
I used the challenge from the Paper Play Sketches site. I loved how this card turned out. It's on it's way to New Zealand as of yesterday. Feel better soon, Kathie! (blowing kisses)

TMS 390: Wasting My Morning
OK, yes ... I am wasting my morning worrying about my dog (hey, crafting helps me relax) but I love this silly dog like a child.
So, I can now return to my regularly scheduled life because she is out of surgery, recovering nicely and will be ready to pick up in 2 hours. Yay. In my defense of the time wasting ... I want you to know that I did get some laundry and ironing done in between my card creating!
I made one last Valentine card for next year. I used a Heather Ellis Pure Innocence image and the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge to make a shaker card. Who doesn't like playing with these?!!
I'm joining in Jeannie's Valentine challenge over on Dragonfly Journeys as well.

My Nieces Rock!
I decided to send all my fabulous nieces a card to tell them how much I appreciate them. Some of them I've watched grow up into amazing women and some of them are mine because my nephews had the good sense to marry them.
I wanted to share a few of the cards. This one is for my pregnant niece. Can you tell what sex I'm hoping this baby will be?!! I used the sketch over on the Your Next Stamp site. I did have to rotate the sketch to fit my image.
The next card I wanted to share was for my niece in nursing school. She and her husband are renovating a house, working and both going to school in the medical field. Wow.
I used the sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches site. And again, I had to rotate the sketch to fit the image I wanted to use.
I'm also submitting the cards to the "Anything Goes over on the Tuesday Throwdown blog, as well as the "Something Fun" theme over on the Cute Card Thursday blog.
I'll try to share some of the other cards I made for the nieces later this week.

Snow Day!!
I think I'd enjoy snow days a tad more if I weren't the one responsible for clearing the snow off our property. While the snow-blower made the process faster, it was still super cold (below zero) and it's snowing again so I will likely have to repeat it before the sun sets. Yay.
With my extra time, I worked to refill my birthday card folder. I used all the extra Bugaboo images that I had printed.
My first sketch comes from TMS. It's a revisit of a favorite sketch. I really love this pretty sketch. To see what I did with it the first time, click here.
I decided to leave off the flower and embellishments this time because I thought that it would make my card a tad busy.
My second card is from another favored Tuesday sketch blog: Try Stampin' On Tuesday.
Did you notice that both cards are pink? That's because my pink DP drawer is stuffed with such pretty papers that it no longer closes! So I'm hoping that I'll need more girl birthday cards than boys birthdays for a while!
