It's Theme Day Thursday over at My Cricut Craft Room. Today's theme is "PETS". If you follow my blog, you know we have our fur baby, Maui. But did you know that we also have a bird? His name is Larry ... yeah, Larry Bird. LOL! Anyway, since today's theme is Pets, I decided to make a scrapbook page of these two guys. Here's what I came up with ...
Because I'm still new to scrapbooking, my layout is pretty simple, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I also printed the pictures in B&W so it would be a little bit easier to put these two guys on the same page. Maui's green eyes wouldn't match the colors I chose. A lot of the gals on Erica's DT create scrapbook layouts, so I decided my personal goal as part of her DT, would be to finish an 8x8 scrapbook of our pets.
These are the items used for this page: Paper from DCWV, Stampin' Up, and scraps; flowers from Kaisercraft and All Natural Accents, brads from stash, MS and SU punches. "Cool Cat" and "You're Tweet" cut at 2.25" from the Cricut carts "MEOW" and "3 BIRDS ON PARADE".
Thanks for stopping by and until next time, take care!

Card for Amelia
I met this wonderful group of ladies on FB through Erica's Craft Room. One of them, Amanda, is collecting cards for a baby girl named Amelia. Here is my card for her ...
I used my Cricut and my fav cart so far, Create A Critter. Sending my prayers and positive thoughts out to Amelia and her family for a complete and speedy recovery. Thanks for stopping by today and until next time, take care and be safe.

100+ Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop!
Happy Aloha Friday everyone! Hope you all had a great week and are ready to start the weekend! I know I sure am! Well, it's finally here - My Cricut Craft Room's June 100+ Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop! Whew - that was a mouthful! This is the second blog hop I've been in, and it's so much fun! WARNING - this is gonna be a longer post than usual, so I hope you'll stick around. Enjoy the music while you're reading. Heehee!
Before I get to my projects, I'd like to give a HUGE shout out to the gals I've met on FB in Erica's "My Cricut Craft Room". You all have totally inspired me to use my Cricut more and more and I look forward to doing exactly that! Anyhoo, back to the "Hop"! If you're on track, you should've just come from Lezlye Hardwick Lauterbach's blog. If not, please start at the beginning here, at Erica's blog. On to my projects. If you follow me, you know I'm more of a card and tag maker, and occasionally do 3-D projects. However, for this Hop, I decided to do an 8x8 scrapbook page and a keepsake page for my parents. I put this 8x10 page in an acrylic frame which I'm giving to them tomorrow, as a gift for their 60th wedding anniversary. Actually, their anniversary isn't until August, but I'm one of those people who just can't wait to give people their presents! Here's what I used on my page: Cricut Cartridge Pagoda, paper from DCWV (Cardstock for Cardmaking - Heritage Pack, and Far East Stack), scraps from my stash, and the Martha Stewart Cherry Blossom Punch Around the Page.
The words, symbols, and flowers were all cut from the Pagoda cartridge.
This next page is of our cat Maui. My son volunteers at an animal hospital/shelter and Maui adopted him last year. You read that right - the cat adopted my son! For this page, I used: Cricut Lite Cartridge Meow, paper from DCWV (Cardstock for Cardmaking - Heritage Pack), Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Petal Patch (maybe retired?), bling from stash, and a mini flower punch.
As soon as I saw this image on the cartridge, I knew I had to use it ... it reminds me so much of Maui!
This tag and the little kitty were also cut from the Meow cartridge. So cute!
Be sure to leave a comment on this post as Erica will be giving away blog candy to some special people who are hopping! After you leave your comment, please hop on over to Lucinda Gibson's blog, here. Thanks for sticking with me and I hope you'll come back to see more of my creations! Until next time, take care and be safe.

Quick Graduation Card
Happy Saturday everyone! Quick post today - made a super simple and easy graduation card for a sweet young lady who's graduating tonight. The school colors are royal blue and white, can you tell? Hehehe ...
Had to put some bling somewhere ...
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nesties scallop circle, grad cap from Stampin' Up, and the Forever Young Cricut cart.
That's it for now. If you all are going to graduations and parties afterward, please be sure to stay safe on the roads and don't drink and drive. Until next time, take care.

Grad card, RAK, TY card and Maui
Did you have a fun-filled weekend? I sure did! I got to hang out with some crafting friends at a birthday party and received this surprise RAK from Joy! Super cute gable box with some yummies! Thanks Joy! I had a TON of fun and think I lost some weight in the sauna! LOL!!!
Also went to my cousin's graduation from the University of Hawaii - she's going to be a teacher! Congratulations Corinna - you did it! Since I've been getting better using my Cricut, I decided to try (again) and make a Hello Kitty card. Dang - this cartridge has to be one of the most "humbug" ones out there. HK always comes out super cute, but it's hard work putting her together! Since I was rushing, I didn't take a very good picture - sorry about that.
I also received this sweet thank you card from my GF Kris's daughter, Krislen.
Another crafter in the family, eh? Thanks sister - I'm gonna share those cookies or the next time you see me, I'm gonna be twice as "fluffy"! Hahahah!
Just wanted to throw these two pictures in of Maui Boy. You can see his furry belly in the picture above. He just wouldn't move off my table!!! When he finally got up, he shot me the stink eye and then turned his back to me. He wouldn't even look at me! The nerve huh? Oh well, gotta love our fur babies, right?

That's it for now. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Summer is definitely here - it's been so hot that it's hard to concentrate when I'm crafting!!! Until next time, stay cool and take care.

Another gift bag and birthday card set
Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you all are enjoying your weekend so far! I was invited to a birthday party today for my GF Teri's dad. He's 91 years old and he looks so good! He's such a rascal and always has something funny to say to me whenever I see him! Anyway, since I've been having so much fun using my Cricut again, I decided to make a card and matching gift bag. I used the Pagoda cartridge for this project. Here's how they came out ...
By the way, the symbol I used means HEALTH. I've been searching for different Cricut sites and videos, and recently came across My Critter Creations. It's a relatively new blog, so head on over there and check it out! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by! Until next time, take care.

Another Cricut creation
I needed a gift bag in a hurry last Friday and since I just finished playing with my Cricut for my CATS, I thought I would use it again for the bag. I just absolutely love the Create A Critter cartridge! Here's the gift bag I made:
I hope my GF liked her gift - it was VERY belated ... but it's the thought that counts, right? Hope you all have a great week and take care.
