Sun Splash

We spent our Monday at Sunsplash yesterday!  It was the year end dance party and my kids look forward to it each year.  Daddy took the day off to join us because last year Owen repeatedly said "I wish Daddy was here..."  He was thrilled!!  Kam and Gi spent the majority of their day hanging out with their friends from dance.  Owen and Daddy started the day off in the wave pool.  Owen figured out he could jump in the water.. the first time he has ever jumped.. ever!! :)

Kelli (my Sis) brought Liv and Lucy to join in the fun.  They had so much fun in the pool and going up and down the kiddie slides.  They have so much energy and I can't wait until Owen can keep up with these girls one day.

Daddy and Owen went around the lazy river a few times, all while I was sunblocking myself up and setting up "camp" for the day.  We had 8 hours of fun ahead of us!

Owen's favorite part of the whole water park is the kids play area.  He loves the pirate ship slide and large pirate bucket that comes pouring down. 

It was 106 degrees in the desert yesterday, but it was still cold when you got out of the water. I had to cuddle my boy and warm him up.

Here's Gi on the lazy river in her double tube with one of her friends.  This tube got so much use!  It was always in the water with someone climbing on it.  My favorite part of the day was chillin in the back seat with Owen in the front seat while hanging out in the wave pool.  We must have spent an hour like that while the waves bobbed us all around.

Lunch was included with burgers, hotdogs, chips, and unlimited drinks.  We drank a ton of water!  I am so sad this is the only picture I have of Kam.  She was on the big slides all day long with her friends, I could hardly track her down.  At least Daddy got a few slides in with her. 

At around 3 I had to run Carson home to get some work done and Owen took a nap in the car.  It was a much needed break from the sun and he slept hard.

We were back at 4 and ready to play for a few more hours. Kam and Gi got huge snow cones and they handed out dance awards.   Then we were right back to water fun.  Owen's oxygen sticky was falling off his cheek, so we went to the first aide office to find something to hold his oxygen on.  The EMT asked if Owen's lips were always that blue.. when I told him he's waiting for a heart he said.. oh, so he's not in the hospital?  Nope.. we'll be there next week, today we are at Sunsplash. :)  He probably thought we were nuts, but we got a band aid to hold on the oxygen and were on our way.

We spent another three hours having fun in the sun and water.  By 7, we were beat and grabbed an Iceberg shake for the road.  It was the best day!

I dropped the pool bag on my bedroom floor when we got home so I could unpack and this little fella caught a ride home.  He darted across my bedroom floor and I had a mild heart attack until C caught him and set him free outside. 

We slept in until 9:30 today and we are staying home this morning.  I keep thinking I should be doing something productive.  Maybe I'll clean the bathrooms and mop the floors.  I have been organizing rooms and closets as I get to them so that I don't leave a mess for C at home.  One week countdown.
