In Humility...

For Me
by Mabel Jones Gabbott and Lynn S Lund

For me he left his heavenly home, for me he came to earth.
The Savior in a manger born. For me this humble birth.
For me he walked this mortal path and suffered hurt and pain.
And left a pattern for my life, His presence to regain.

For me there in Gethsemane, he suffered agony.
Upon a bare and lonely hill, my Savior died for me.
What can I do for him, my Lord, to minimize his pain.
So that his sacrifice for me will not have been in vain?

For him I'll gladly do his will, rejoicing in his plan.
That gives me women's special gifts to bless my fellow man.
For him I will believe, obey/ I'll turn my thoughts above.
So I can spend eternity encircled in his love.
I'll spend eternity encircles in his love
