Had the usual countdown at LJ's house. Was pouring in the day, luckily it stopped so that we can BBQ at nite.
Had the usual gift exchange too. LJ had this American-Jap-Russian mixed girl joining us, was pretty cool talking to an American after such a long long time..but i tot she's too quiet as an American. I became like the loud Singapoean, and her the quiet American.
ANyway, we played drinking games, and many of the pple got drunk! Was so funny to see them all talking rubbish, and swaying from side to side (never seen them like that b4), and this gal, who was usually very serious, got so drunk that she carried ard the Vodka, and forcing every single person to drink! Was feeling bad too, but didnt puke..never ever puke from drinking from my life..hahaha...yet.
Anyway, the host herself gott drunk, and she was supposed to send this American gal to the airpot at like 5am. Out of the blue, i decided that I shd send her off, at least got a Singaporean to send this foreigner off, she'd feel good lah..so off i went to Changi Airport departure hall on New Year's Day. She checked in damn early, and then after that, all i can do is to take the MRT from the east to the west at 6am. Wat a unique way to start a new year.
Lotsa pple from last nite's countdown party taking the train with me, esp. at the City Hall stop. Lotsa Foreign Workers man..waht XiaXue said is true. Nowadays those free countdoown parties are all flooded with Foreign Workers, not worth for a gal to go there and get harrassed by them.
Anyway, was really a unique way to start a new year.
Hope this year will be a better one than 2005.
