Swimming

Today was awesome! I FINALLY found a way to go swimming at the human pool... It was like a secret mission. How I got in is classified... shhh, don't tell. Mom says we will probably get a nasty-gram in the mail, but we both agree, it was totally worth it. Hehee snort, we are so bad, but I love to swim.

It was so much fun to be able to swim with my Mom. Landa Park in New Braunfels (a natural spring fed pool) has a "Doggy Dip Day" in September that we will be attending, can't wait!

Then I discovered floating... now I know what Mom means when she says she's going floating at the pool... I could get use to this...

Floating was nice, but I would rather swim & use my bionic knees. Thank goodness the raft made for an undercover disguise of sneaking out of the pool. Mom said we aren't making a habit of swimming at the human pool... Shucks... Wish Brandy could have been there for this adventure...Kuddos to her Mom for taking the pictures.

Air Conditioned Adventure

Since Pug melting temperatures & humidity made it's appearance, instead of hitting the hiking trails, Brandy and I went shopping at the Container Store where the aisles are air conditioned. The thermometer picture was taken in the shade. With these temperatures, commence the summer hibernation.

It was Brandy's first shopping adventure at the Container Store. She doesn't go shopping alot, she did great and got tons of attention... more than me. That's ok, the attention makes for a good experience and we can go on more City-Style air conditioned adventures.

Hmmm... I have another clue to the "Big Adventure"... all the shopping was done in the travel section. Where in the heck could I be going? I'm game for where ever the adventure may lead...

Charolais Cows

Cows! I discovered a Live Oak Tree Mott with bedded down Charolais cows. Oh my goodness! This cow was so calm, she even posed with me for the picture. The cows are right by where we were shopping. No cow pies to be found anywhere. If Puglet was here, he would be disappointed, no pies. Hehee snort.

Shopping, Shopping & More Shopping

We had company this weekend, my Neena came to visit me from far away. I haven't seen her since Christmas and couldn't wait for her to arrive.

Oh my goodness, our schedule was jammed packed with activities. Saturday, Mom was busy on the phone calling stores where I have never been before... over & over, I heard, Oh Yea! Pug friendly stores, here we come.

The first stop was Barnes & Noble. Mom has something up her sleeve... she has been talking about a grand adventure that will be a first for both of us. Shhh, don't tell, I discovered a clue. But all these books have me confused.

Mom didn't pack her camera, so she had to use her phone. She even missed a photo op of my first escalator ride. I need to have a talk with her.

There was only one damper of the day... We were going to sit on the patio & have lunch at a resturant that makes "Cheese Cakes & is a Factory". They claim to be Pug friendly, the lady took us to the patio, showed us a table by a fence. Oh, I thought this was going to be so much fun, then the lady said, your dog has to sit outside the fence. What?! Mom told the lady: That's not happening, it's right next to where the cars drive! Then we turned on our heels and left. You should have seen the steam coming out her ears! I wanted to tell that lady, what you want me to be a pug pancake flattened by a car!? What the heck! I think I had a of steam coming out of my ears too, I was looking forward to any morsels of food that may have been dropped by the humans. I should have gone poodle on her. Hehee.

Next stop... The Pottery Barn. Oh my, they were so nice, lots of attention & hugs & pets. I found these cool rugs, but they stayed at the store. Lots of other goodies came home with us, I was just glad there was enough room in the runner for me, Mom & Neena.

Next stop was the Container Store. They were super excited to see me. FYI my friends, if you have a Container Store near you, make sure you get your humans to take you, the clerk at the store said they are VERY dog friendly.

Final stop was Crate & Barrell, but when Mom called them, they said I could go in, but I had to be carried. Which was fine by me, all this shopping made this little puggie tuckered out.

The Tornado-Twister Mission

Mom got a bee in her bonnett and was on a mission, I was eager to help. We were on a mission, not a secret one this time, it was a mission with a good mission.

All of a sudden, things came flying out of closets that I didn't know exhisted. We took all the goodies out of the house and loaded up the Runner.

Once everything was loaded up, including me (buckle up as Mom says), she explained everything will do a small part to help the humans affected by the bad, horrible, destructive, tornados.

But I have a plan of my own... I need to help the four legged furry kids that have been affected by the bad twisters. While Mom was busy gathering up stuff, I was too.
