I signed up for a cake class at Robert's earlier this month. It has been really fun. I made 3 cakes and learned some new techniques. Our last class for course 1 was tonight. I signed up for the next course because I enjoyed it so much.
This is what I have been up to.
This cake was a disaster. I could not get it out of the pan. I was only able to salvage half of one of the layers. I had to improvise. Thus, the rainbow cake.
This creepy clown cake was not optional. We had to make these ugly dudes. It looks like they need to go potty. Although the clowns are less than cute, I still had a great time.
This was my last cake for course 1. The roses are hard to make.

Pretty Bride+Handsome Groom+Crazy Toddler+Stinky Arm Pits+Bursting Blisters= a GREAT TIME!
On Feb. 12th David's brother, Steve, was married to Bre. I LOVE her...Anyway, here are some highlights of our day.
My crazy Lincoln with his signature skip, and David with his sunglasses from 1995.
Aaww.....
Since my fashion sense is best described as... well, LAME SAUCE, our family fashion expert, Gina, dressed me for the wedding. She picked out my dress, shoes, and necklace. However, when I got to the wedding, I was informed that I should not have worn a white cami under the dress. I guess it throws off the aesthetic. Sorry Gina! I will try harder next time. By the way, these cute red shoes gave me some not-so-cute red blisters on my toes.
Check out Gina's shoes. WOW! Besides the bride, these babies were the talk of the party.
Lincoln recently discovered the wonder of POCKETS. He had at least one hand in a pocket the majority of the day.
We are a happy fa-mi-ly.
The squids loved running around on this fun stage.
Bre and all the Eves sibs. This is a HUGE family. Bre is in for a big surprise at her first Eves family Thanksgiving since she is an only child. I've been in the family for 8 years and I am still working on controlling my panic attacks at family events. My desire for personal space seems to take over.
Since David's parents are on a mission, Jack was the stand in dad and Sheila was the stand in mom. David's REAL mom and dad were able to watch the wedding live on the internet.
Cute little Logan with cute little Lincoln.
Classic Linco picture: Tie is ripped off, shirt un-tucked, tractor in hand, playing on the stairs and pretty smile shining. Bridger is trying out the pretty smile too.
I kept asking for paper/plastic silverware, cups and plates at dinner. The event hostess kept giving me mean looks. I could see on her face what she was thinking. Her thoughts went something like this, "WHO is this hillbilly chick wearing a white cami with her black dress that keeps asking for plastic utensils? Who invited her?" I was just trying to save her some grief. I knew that if Lincoln got hold of the pretty drinking glass, things were going to turn ugly very quickly. Fortunately, they had plastic cups. I promptly grabbed one and filled it with water, and swiped the fancy silverware from Lincoln's grasp. He he eats with his hands 100% of the time anyway, so I was pretty sure he would not miss them.
David pulling a fancy wheelie. One kid on the lap and one kid on the feet. That's how Bridger and Linc roll.
Cutting a rug with my little guy. Surprisingly, Lincoln LOVED the dancing at the wedding. He wanted to stay in there and groove all night long. I had a great time too.
I can't remember the last time I danced so hard. I loved every minute. Due to my vigorous dancing, by about 9:00, my pretty black dress was smelling a little funky around the arm pit region. I took that as a cue to head home. I scooped up my little boy and we ditched. Lincoln protested the whole way home because he wanted to stay and dance some more.
Here is a little snippet of the groovin that Lincoln was doing that night. Looking all suave with a hand in his pocket and bouncing his knee.
