Updates!

Wow!  I can't believe how fast time goes!  A lot has been happening in the Meibos household lately!

Joshie & Tyler:

The boys had their 6 month appointment on January 11.  They both weighed 19 lbs 12oz...they're chubby and I love it!  Tyler was 27.2 inches long and Joshie was 26.5 inches.  The doctor was so impressed with their muscle tone he couldn't believe it.  He even called them maginificent specimens.  You should have seen Jared...I'm pretty sure his chest was puffed out as far as it could go...what a proud Daddy.

Both boys started sitting up at the end of December when they were about 5 1/2 months old.  Life has been so happy since then.  They really like to see the world from an angle other than flat on their backs.  Joshie loves being on his tummy and has been rolling from his back to front since he was about 3 to 4 months old...Tyler was just barely behind.  Tyler doesn't like hanging out on his tummy as much though.  Just this week they started rolling around to get things.  I'm pretty sure it's time to get a gate!  I left both boys on a blanket in the middle of the family room, and went into my office for a few minutes.  When I got back Josh was over by the stairs...he actually did that twice in the same day.  I'm not sure I'm ready to have mobile boys yet!  They are trying really hard to scoot too!  I'm pretty sure they will be army crawling within in the next week or so.  I cannot believe how fast they develop and grow.  It is a miracle to watch them!

They LOVE food!  We have been feeding them 'real' food since the beginning of December.  I'm pretty sure if you follow my blog or facebook at all you've seen the pictures.  I am happy to report they are not quite as messy these days:)  The past few days Joshie has learned to spit while I'm feeding them and that make for quite the adventure:)

Just two nights ago BOTH babies slept through the night!  I couldn't believe it when I woke up to Jared's alarm instead of babies talking/crying.  It was a beautiful thing.  I was hoping for a new trend, but unfortunately it didn't stick.  Joshie wanted to eat at 2:00 a.m. this morning!  Tyler is a pretty good sleeper and has had quite a few nights without getting up!

I am so blessed to have such happy babies!  The majority of the time they are smiling and happy.  One of my most favorite things is when they interact with each other.  How cool would it be to have a built in best friend.  Quite often I will hear them laughing and 'talking' to each other.  They also LOVE to bounce.  We have two bouncers in our living room and they bounce like crazy for as long as I'll leave them in there.  I'm pretty sure they are wearing out the springs!

Jared:

Jared turned 32 on January 29th.  I can't believe I'm married to such an old man!  Becca and Alex were kind enough to come down and babysit the babies so we could go out!  It was wonderful!  Jared is still the operations manager of a casting facility in Spanish Fork.  He is doing a great job running the facility!  He is working to finish our basement in his 'spare time'.  He recently finished framing it...now on to the electrical!  I'm so lucky to be married to such a handy guy!  He is still working with the young men in our ward and loving it.  He's pretty sure he has the best job in the church!  He also coaches the YM in basketball.  I'm pretty sure his most favorite thing to do is come home and play with the boys!  The babies love him...they get huge smiles on their faces as soon as he comes through the door!  He is amazing with them and helps more than I should ever ask him to.

This year we are celebrating 10 years together.  I cannot believe it has been that long.  January 8, 2001 was our first date!  It was pretty much love at first sight and we've been together since.  It has been fun remembering our dating experiences 10 years later.  Lets just say I'm a very lucky girl!  I have a friend that says he fell out of a tree and landed on his feet when it came to marrying his wife.  I feel exactly the same way about marrying Jared.

Cheryl:

I love being with my boys!  I'm am so blessed to be able to be a mother.  I am still working for the same company I've been with since I graduated from BYU.  They are wonderful and are letting me work from home the majority of the time and take the boys with me when I go in for a few hours a week.  They even have their own little office that they get to hang out in.  My little sister Cami is the nanny when I'm working.  The boys love her!  I was just called back into YW!  I am the secretary and love that I get to hang out with the girls again!

That's it for now...sorry no pictures.  I had 6 month pictures of the boys taken and they are so dang cute I can't stand it.  I'll try to post them later.
