Free Collar Pattern for the Sunny Dress

It's that time of year again when Melly Sews hosts the 30 Days of Sundresses series! If you aren't familiar with the series, then you'll definitely want to start following along and look back at all the previous posts so far to grab some great free patterns and tutorials for sewing sundresses.

Sundresses are one of my daughter's absolute favorite things to wear during the summer, and they are one of my favorite things to sew! This is my fourth year participating in the series, and this time, I've decided to create a FREE Collar Pattern piece and tutorial to go along with my Sunny Dress & Top Pattern. You are going to love the additional look you can create with both my FREE and PAID versions of the pattern.

Sunny Pattern Tester Photos

Developing a clothing pattern and preparing it for purchase is a huge undertaking! I never could have completed the sewVery Sunny Dress & Top Pattern without the help from a terrific group of ladies who volunteered to be pattern testers. They all did an amazing job of providing feedback on the pattern instructions, sewing up the garment, and sending me photographs.  Most testers even opted to make more than one piece because the pattern is so quick and easy to sew!

A couple of days ago, I released my first graded digital pdf sewing pattern--for FREE! It's the sewVery Sunny Dress Pattern in Sizes 5, 6, and 7.  Boy, was it a labor of love, but I had so much fun making it that I plan to complete the grading and add a couple of variations to the design.

In order to make sure the pattern pieces were graded properly for a good fit and the tutorial instructions were clear and thorough, I requested the help from a group of ladies via a tester call-out on my sewVery Facebook page.  Didn't they do an amazing job?
