fairy dust in blue

I made a new top and listed it today. It's made with Liberty of London lawn in a seasonal print called Fairy Dust, in blue. I made it a size 2-3T  but it could easily be worn younger as well.  It's in my shop now.
Next up is a baby kimono.

kayoko and betsy

A bloomer in size 6 months in print: Kayoko by Liberty of London.

*I was pleasantly surprised how sunny and wonderful this print is. It somehow uses a surprisingly girly pastel palette in the best way against sunny and warm buttery yellow background. I love it.

A skirt in size 6-7 in print, Betsy (purple) by Liberty of London.

Betsy is an all time favorite of mine and I just love how vibrant the shades are in this blue and purple floral. See more photo in my easy store: Wool and Violets.

liberty and lace sundress

This sundress! Oh, I just love it...
I had forgotten how much I adored the one I made for my girl four years ago and when it popped in my head I immediately dropped what I was doing last week to start another.

The combination of knitted lace in soft white wool with the Liberty of London cotton lawn is just exquisite. I made this red floral one a size 12 months and listed in my Etsy shop. The hem is hand sewn and the lace is knitted then sewn on by machine and then hand sewn to the fabric on top to lay flat. I made a little different then the original one where the knit portion was inside.

springtime bloomers

Just added : a pair of bloomers to the shop and though it can't be paired with the skirt in a matching print it would make a sweet present for a baby and big sister.
I'm working on a very pretty Liberty dress that I hope to finish in a day or two.

sewing for SS15

I suppose I disappeared from here again, not intentionally but, February really threw me and now it seems we are almost halfway though March. While we wait for the snow to disappear (hope last Thursdays storm was the end of it) I decided to sew up a few summer items for the shop in Liberty of London. Most of what I have been working on lately are big projects which I am going back and forth between so it was nice to sit down and sew up these three items over the course of a few hours.

I sold pink rose bloomers in December that were size 6 months so, I decided to make another one. These are size 12 months and are currently listed in my Etsy store:

This print, Claire Aude also size 12 months happen to match a 'Happy Birthday' dress in the same size perfectly in the shop. It would make a lovely set:

A gathered summer top in Coral Meadow was also sewn in size 6-7 years.

I hope to be back here soon to share more of what I have been working on. I have lots more to say but, my right hand is asleep and I need to go pick up the kids from school.

Have you seen the Liberty of London Tana Lawn Seasonal? I have my eye on a handful of these prints.
Also, love to browse through the selection at B & J Fabrics.

robin's egg blue romper

I made my fourth vintage style romper/playsuit because they are so sweet and very cute on a baby. Almost makes me want another one. It can be worn in the summer or winter as an outer layer. I knit this in Madeline Tosh- Tosh Vintage in Robin's Egg which I had some extra yarn from this project. I've just listed it in my etsy store. I think it would look sweet on either gender and make a really pretty gift for a new baby.

organic wool romper

I wish I had a baby to model this for me because this vintage style romper/playsuit is very cute on a baby. It can be worn in the summer or winter as an outer layer. I knit it with organic merino wool and I've just listed it in my etsy store. I sold the pale pink one so quickly last month at my sale. I think I'd like to try to keep this as a regular item in my store. If you have a specific size/color in mind send me a s message. I'm willing to make it up to a size 2 for now.

knitting round up

On the last day of 2014 I am going to show you a a round up of knitting projects from the past few months that I didn't get around to as they were finished.

The first one is the Petawawa Cable Toque.
The designer is very admirable and this hat is very nicely designed. I actually started it quite a while ago and put it aside for almost a year. The yarn came with the pattern so I don't have the info. on it.

A red elf hat..debating on keeping or selling this one.

Knit with Spud and Chloe yarn
Looks so sweet on her.

The second pair of these two-tone mitts knit using this pattern without ridges. I used Cascade Yarns Eco Duo in Almond Smoke.

A child size winter cap for my Etsy store in Cascade Yarns Eco Duo in Zebra with red pom pom.

A second keyhole baby/toddler scarf in cream for my Etsy store.

I think there were a few more and I still need to show you the boyfriend hat I knit for Mick.

This week is so unique. A little breathing room. Wishing you all a Happy New Year. 2015!

leopard print collars in the shop

I just added a few girls leopard print collars that I had made up for the bizarre. They are sewn with soft thick fake fur and cotton. I love these little pieces. I made them a few years ago for my daughter and I. We love them.

a day at the bazaar

My event in town this past Sunday went well with lots of people stopping by and sales higher then any fair I've done before. The event was run really well by Studio B . I am trying to conjure up some better display ideas in a small space. I need to go up, perhaps build something or allow for more clothing racks in the future. My neighbors were great too. One had handmade pajaki egg ornaments and on the other side were the girls from The Able Baker.

liberty of london - coral meadow blouse

I am adding this blouse to the shop today. It is a size 3T but it would fit a 2 or 3T perfect. It's a peasant style with elastic at the arms and neck. One of my go to styles that always looks beautiful for everyday or special days. The print is called Coral Meadow. I made this fabric into a sweet summer top for my daughter and was happy to have enough left for an item for the shop. If it does not sell it will be with me on December 7th at the Bizarre Bazaar at The Woodland. The Abominable Snowman will be there so you have to come.
