Bentley had her bridal shower today. It was kinda last minute, so we did our best to invite everyone that we could think of. We had it at our house and had lots of friends and family come shower her with love and gifts!

Cal's birthday dinner
So to carry on our tradition of birthday dinners, well add our new son in laws to the fun. Cal's birthday is on the Fourth of July. We're finally getting out to celebrate his birthday a couple weeks late. Haha! He picked Oreganos! We got in pretty fast considering how busy this place always is. Toby and I shared a yummy chicken fajita salad and they shared a BBQ chicken pizza. Happy belated birthday Cal!

Church & US history road trip 2016!
3:15 am wake up call. 6:40am flight. DC here...we....come!✈ ️We are doing the church & US history road trip! #wishusluck!
First stop: DC temple! It was pouring rain when we got to here. We headed to our hotel and check in and the started driving. The rain stopped so we headed to the temple to walk around before getting dinner! It is beautiful!! Toby served his mission here 25 years ago, so he was excited to show us all around.
After dinner, we changed and headed back to the temple to meet up with one of Toby's friends from the mission, Mike Day. Afterwards we went to go do temple baptisms, but the wait was really long even with our appointment. The kids were super tired from being up since 3am, so we decided to go drive around around DC instead. Can't wait to explore this city tomorrow!
Day 2: Downtown DC! We took the kids on their first metro ride. We then decided to do the hop on hop off bus tour to see as much as we could!
Here's one of the many stops we did: the Jefferson memorial!
We also stopped for the Lincoln memorial! By the time we got off the bus, the heat and humidity about killed us! Haha! Boy was it gross! Totally drenched in sweat! Sure makes you appreciate Arizona's DRY heat!
White House, Washington memorial and Space & Air museums to name a few. Glad to say we barely survived the heat & humidity! Haha! We had a wonderful time in DC! One day isn't enough. Sure loved seeing Toby excited about being back in his old mission stomping grounds. #morepicturesonfacebook
Day 3: Welcome to New York!!! Did the hop on hop off again! Here's just a little bit of what we saw in ONE DAY! Wish I could fit more pictures in one post! Haha!
Day 4: Left New York City and drove to Palmyra. We first stopped at the Hill Comorah. Here's Jonah re-enacting "Asssssssss....youuuuu....wiiiiiish!" Stopped at Lake Ontario. Wow! That lake is HUGE! Also had a sheet of pizza! 32 slices. We finished all but 5 pieces. Haha! Great day!
Day 5: Palmyra! We started our day by doing baptism in the Palmyra temple! Then we toured the Smith family farm. Then we spend a lot of time in the peaceful Sacred Grove! Then we went to the Whitmer family farm. They had a new church film that's only seen there about the role the Whitmer family played in translation of the Book of Mormon. What an amazing day!
After then Whitmer farm, we drove to the printing press where the Book of Mormon was printed and saw an original first addition. We also saw where Alvin Smith was buried. Then we finished this amazing day with the Hill Comorah pageant!
Noah mets Noah. Hill Comorah pageant tonight!
Day 6: Last night after the pageant we drove to Buffalo. This morning we woke up and headed to Niagara Falls! Wow! It was amazing! Now on to Kirtland Ohio!
Finished the day in Kirtland. We visited the visitor center, Newel K. Whitney store and home. We also visited Isaac Morley's home and the Kirtland temple. Such a great day learning more about these amazing saints and the how they helped move the church forward and the sacrifices they made.
Day 7: Chicago! We had a picnic with the Chicago skyline as our backdrop. Caleb was born in Chicago so we took him to the hospital where he was born and a couple of the houses he lived. We stopped by the Chicago temple too. Here's one of the many old beautiful barns and corn fields we drove by on our road trip. We also stopped at this beautiful park and let Caleb slide down a fun slide that he liked when he was little. For dinner we had Chicago pizza! The vote is still out on which one is better... Chicago or New York! Haha! Lots of memories for Toby and Caleb when they lived here several years ago.
Day 8: Carthage and Nauvoo. We first went to Carthage jail. Then drove to Nauvoo and spent the rest of the day there. We stopped by our ancestor homes of the Webb's blacksmith and Browning's gun shop. We also did baptisms in the Nauvoo temple. We even ran into a few people that we know. We saw Bentley's soon to be grandparents. They're serving a mission in Nauvoo. We saw the Sunset by the Mississippi stage performance and the British pageant! What a wonderful last day of our trip!
Wedding announcements
Bentley and Cal had their engagement pictures taken last week. Bentley has been working hard on getting her invites designed just right. She followed Kami with the announcements and found that they could do them cheaper by having pictures printed at Costco and having the invites printed at Staples and order envelops on Amazon. They turned out great!
Missionaries for dinner
It's been awhile since we've had the missionaries over for dinner. We've been so busy with weddings, school getting out and vacations. We had Elder Faulkenberry and Elder Perks over. Their newer to our ward, so it was fun to get to them them better. Their great missionaries and pretty near the end of their missions. Actually Elder Perks goes home next week. We love having the missionaries over. We hope someone in Chile and Argentina will return the favor and have our sons over for dinner too.
Fourth of July!
More Salt River Shenanigans
We went to the river again. This time we took Jet and Time and Kami. Tim has never been to the river. So it was fun to see his reaction to it. On our way to the river, one of the tubes got a hole in it from rubbing against one of the bungy cords. So we had Jet ride on the back of Noah's kayak. It was a perfect solution. There wasn't too many people on the river today either. We had a lot of fun!

4th of July weekend at the cabin
Toby, me and Caleb headed to cabin for the 4th of July weekend. Bentley went with Cals family to Pima and then to the mountains to celebrate the 4th. Maizey and Noah had to work and Jonah decided to stay home and hang out with friends since no one beside us was going too the cabin. We left Saturday morning and stopped at Taco Bell for lunch. We unloaded and took a much needed nap. Afterwards we headed into Heber and the guys let me indulge in some antique shopping. We ate an early dinner at Casa Ramos. We then went to the store and got some ice cream. We went driving around to see if any cabins were for sale. We found one real close to mom and dads! We watched a couple of movies and then Kami and Tim finally showed up. We watched Germlins and then went to bed. On Sunday we made breakfast burrito and Toby and I took a walk. We went by that cabin for sale. It's just a little A frame cabin. It is banked owned. It had been gutted and started to out up drywall. It's just a one bed, one bath plus lift upstairs cabin. It had a nice deck and opened to the forest. When we got home I did some research on it. Their only asking $120k! It would need a lot of work, but for that price on an acre backing to the forest, you can't beat it! Unfortunately, there was already a contact on it, but they were taking back up offers... Very tempting. :) We had a nice relaxing Sunday, we game playing and nap taking. We pack up and headed home around 6pm that night. It was a nice little get away.
Pantry make over
The pantry has been driving me crazy for a long time. Last year I worked on one side of it, but never got around to going the others. So with crazy bored teenage boys home during summer, I put them to work. Surprisingly they did it without any complaining! Haha! I them take turned unloading one shelf. While I cleaned it off, they went through and figured out what was expired and then threw it away out side. Then I put it back all organized. We worked on it a little bit each day and got it all cleaned! Now when I walk by I stop to stare instead hurrying to close the door. Haha! Now it's time to tackle the junk room! Heaven help me! :)
Say yes to the dress?!?
Last Saturday at the Goodwill half off sale I found a wedding dress for $15!! It was in really condition. Just a little wear around the skirt. It was quite the style she was looking for, but I bought it anyways just to see. She liked it but we would need to alter it quite a bit to be how she would like it to be. Maybe I'll sale it on Craigslist if she doesn't want it. A couple days later Bentley found the dress she wanted on line for $150! Still not bad. We need to take in the sides a little bit and maybe add some bling to it.
Salt River shenanigans
We went on our annual Salt River tubing adventures on Wednesday. It was pretty hot, but the river was nice and cold. We brought calebs friend Cade with us. There wasn't hardly anyone on the river except for the wild horses roaming around. Noah brought his kayak. He pulled us for a little bit when there was no current and no wind to push us along. Just as we were leaving I got a text from Bentley saying that she got a flat tire not to far from where we were. Her and Cal were in the area for their engagement pictures. She got a flat after they were done. Luckily we got the text in time and was able to meet her and help her before a storm came in. We had a great time! Were hoping to go back next week with Kami and Tim.
Eagle or Bust!
Noah has been working on his eagle for quite some time. He was able to start is project when he was 14. He had pick one, but ended up not being able to do it. Finally last year he was to pick another project and finished in September of 2015. Well, here it is 9 months later and he is now just finishing his eagle packet! Woohoo! Now he just needs to meet with the eagle specialist and then meet with a few others and get it all approved and then we'll have another eagle on the house!
