Gipaspist

Today I finished  the gipaspist sculpted by D. Shevchuk (Ukraina).
Metal, 54mm. Acrylic and oil painting.

Сегодня я закончил фигурку гипасписта. Скульптор и производитель киевлянин Дмитрий Шевчук. Фигурка отлита из металла, размер 54мм. Роспись акрил и масло. Подставка оформлена при помощи натуральных материалов - глинозем, сосновая кора. Стрела изготовлена самостоятельно.
Гипасписты (букв. "щитоносцы) воины македонской армии, имевшие несколько более легкое вооружение, чем фалангисты и, вероятно, прикрывавшие уязвимые фланги между фалангой и конницей.
