Sunday Special (35) It's Been A While

It's indeed been a while since I last posted something for this feature. I hope you guys haven't forgotten it yet. Last night I was browsing a Viet online bookstores and found out that over the past months lots and lots of American YA (also chick lit and romance) novels have come and been loved by tons of teens here. They've been given new looks too. So today I decide to share a few covers that I've managed to get decent pictures of.

Diary Of Anne Frank.

Wings by Aprilynne Pike.

Gossip Girl: All I Want Is Everything by Cecily von Ziegesar.

Vampire Diaries: The Awakening by L.J Smith

The Choice by Nicolas Sparks.

Interesting hey? I don't really like the covers but it kinda excites me to see these books all over the shelves at the bookstores. There are some more but I'll save them for next week. Let me know what you think about these comparisons.

Cool aren't they? My favorite of the batch is Thirteen Reasons Why because the color of the finished cover is nicer than the original and it has a feel of depression the raw photo doesn't. I don't like the coloring of In A Heartbeat though, it looks weird to me.

How about you? What do you think? Spot any original photos? Please tell me so I can put them up too : )

Sunday Special (34) Before & After

As promised here are the luckiest stock pictures which have been chosen to present YA books. Some are old, some new but all look very interesting. Check out the input and output of the process of cover-creating alright?

Sunday Special (33) It's Been A While...

...since my last Sunday Special post. Now I'm here to show you some mock covers I did over the past weeks. The pictures looked really good and their colours were just perfect so I didn't have to add much effects. These are all dedicated to C.K Kelly Martin who has been such a great author friend to me :)

I Know It's Over

One Lonely Degree

The Lighter Side Of Life and Death

All pictures are from inmagine.com. Credits to all the photographers for taking such beautiful and inspirational shots. In the process of browsing through the photos I came across those that were chosen to be official covers for some already published and upcoming books too. Will share with you guys in the next two weeks so watch out for it.

Or and here's a lousy cover for my NaNoWriMo novel. I'm way too behind schedule so I made this to cheer me up (at the time when I was supposed to be writing)

So what do you think of these? Love them, hate them, let me know!

Beautiful aren't they? I love the way each book matches with the others. I'm not sure which I prefer, the myterious, dark covers of the fantasy series or charming bubbly ones of the reality/romance comedy ones. But, if I have to choose, I'll pick Dream Catcher Series. It simplicity and elegance amazes me to the max. How about you? Cast your vote and tell us if there're any series the covers of which you're crazy about.
