Hello everybody!!

Promissed I'd be back and here I am :). My PCS DT-friend Janna is hosting a brilliant challenge over at Pink Cat Studio & Lily and Billy lovers! on PaperCraftPlanet it is called LOVE my Pink Cat Stamps. Here are the details:

LOVE My Pink Cat Stamps – DT Challenge

Since Valentine's Day is coming up fast, I have a LOVE themed Challenge for you! But this isn't any old love themed challenge, this is a special one! My challenge for you is to create a card or project with at least four elements (you can have more if you would like), but four of your elements have to spell LOVE. For example, you can use Layers, Ovals, Violet, and Embellishments; see spells love. Or you could use Lily, Owls, Very pretty sequins and Emerald brads. Spells love. The possibilities are endless and yes, V can stand for very! Just remember that four of your elements must spell LOVE. Have Fun, can't wait to see what you come up with!
Date the challenge ends:
Tuesday February 10th, 5 pm EST

Requirements:
A Pink Cat Studio stamp must be used as the main stamp on the card or project. It is okay to use stamps from other companies as well. Your entry can be a card or any type of 3D project. To be eligible for the prize you must upload your card before the deadline to your PaperCraftPlanet gallery and include the tag PCSDTC1. You may enter only 1 project for this challenge. If you have questions about this challenge, please post them in the challenge discussion thread in the Pink Cat Studio group on Paper Craft Planet. Prize:
On February 11th, a winner will be chosen by a random draw from all of the challenge participants. The winner will receive a grab bag of Pink Cat Studio stamps. The winner will be announced in the PCP challenge discussion thread and on the Pink Cat Studio blog. Some cards from the challenge will be displayed on the PCS blog and all entries will go into the PCP gallery.

LOVE this challenge so had to take part myself (not for the prize of course but for the fun of it). Here is what I came up with:

L is for layers (I hope you can see them but I used a lot of foam cubes on this one)

O is for Ovals

V is for velvet (I used yummie Doodlebug Crushed Velvet Cardstock, I hope it shows on the pictures, I think it's gorgeous IRL)

E is for embellishments
I used this very sweet Kiki stamp from the new set. Unfortunatelly I had to draw the things on the head of the butterfly (no idea what they are called in English) since I couldn't cut them out and I wanted to use layers so I had to draw them. Velvet isn't the best surface to draw on so they aren't as pretty as Melissa's.

Thank you Ria for the idea of using a slize of my Fimo cane (see a post down) as an embellishment on my card. The butterfly charm I bought in the store where I had the Fimo workshop (love it) and the beads and flowers are from stash. The sentiment reads 'Sterkte' which means Strength in Dutch, I'm going to send this card today to somebody who is going to undertake surgery tomorrow. Just a little card to let her know she's on my mind. The gorgeous green paper is from Heidi Grace designs and it's shimmery and glittery... love it! The cardstock is from stash.

That's it really. I hope you agree with me that Jannah came up with a LOVEly challenge and I hope you'll join us in the fun. Love to see your creations!!

Have a great day!!

Traveling Kiki and Fimo Clay

Hello everybody,

I have two things to show you this Sunday. First I want to show you this quick little project I did for my siter-in-law. She works for Philips and travels all around the world for them and since we don't live that far from the airport she often comes to our house first so that I can drive her to the airport and she can leave her car in front of our house. She is one of the sweetest persons I know (hope she reads this because I mean it) and I thought the traveling Kiki from the new Pink Cat Studio Kiki set would be a great base for a little gift for her the next time I'm taking her to the airport. I made this little gift bag I bought at All That Scraps and filled it with Dutch coin licorice. Dutch licorice is as I understand something that is totally different from licorice in other parts of the world. A lot of Dutch people who go and live in other countries say that one of the things they miss most of Holland is the licorice. There are salt and sweet flavours of the stuff, I came across this cute site that sells you all the different types of Dutch licorice and other Dutch candy and cookies, I think they are aiming for those Dutch people I was talking about who miss home :). Anyway, here is the bag I made: And a close up:
Love that little Kiki, I thought Bon Voyage would make a great sentiment for this stamp so I made the sentiment with Microsoft Word. The paper is Basic Grey, I thought the black background to Kiki would be great with a bag of licorice. The ribbon is from stash and I used lots of gorgeous stickles.
The other project I want to show you is what I did at the Fimo Clay workshop yesterday. I didn't finish my neglace unfortunatelly, we ran very late and so I've asked Eveline who gave the workshop (you should check out her site: Crealine, she's amazing!!) if I could leave my beads there for her to bake so that I could pick them up later this week. I did take the canes I made with me though. This is the base for the beads I made. Here are the canes:
Not much to see this way but if you look at the end of a cane:

You can see that I made these cute little butterflies. You have to make all these litttle details of the butterfly in seperate canes, fill it up with the colour you want your bead to be and then make it into a very large cane and start roling. When the cane is finished you can cut it into little slizes and you can decorate your beads with them. To make the butterfly cane took me ages but I love how they turned out. I'll show the finished neglace to you when I have finished it.
That's it for me today. I'll be back later this week I promiss. Bye for now, have a great Sunday!!

Day three of the Pink Cat Studio Sneak peeks!!

Sneak peak, sneak peek... I'm not sure anymore but you know what I mean :). The last day in which we show you the wonderful new stamps Melissa created. Today I'm featuring the cutest stamp in the Lily & Billy Sweethearts set I think, Lily and Billy with their backs together. Here is the card I did with that stamp: And here is a close up of the stamped and coloured image:

And of the sentiment which is also included in the stamp set and also fits the hearts that Lily and Billy are holding in the stamps that sneak peeked yesterday:

I just love this card so much. The glittery background paper is Doodlebugs if I'm not mistaken and the rest of the paper is once again Bo Bunny's, I today received my second order of the paper, I think it's just gorgeous! As you can see I've embroidered all the papers around with embroidery floss. I love how that turned out. I also added some foamcubes for dimension and the ribbon with the pompoms is Bazzill if I'm not mistaking. This card is my personal favourite of my sneak peaks. It's so sweet and I just love the colours.
But of course there is also a Kiki stamp in the sneak peeks today. I'm featuring Kiki with the balloons:

And this is a shot to show you that I used black foam instead of paper and that the flowers are realy thick with Paper Glaze on them. I also didn't colour them but did some paperpiecing. The paper is from stash as is the ribbon.

This is my least favourite card of the bunch but I like it anyway. I think it shows that you can easily do quick small cards with the Kiki set.
I can't wait to see what my fellow Design Team members have come up with today. I loved what they did until now, didn't you? I mean have you seen the purse that Vicky did yesterday... how can you not love that? It's such a talented bunch of ladies and these two days have certainly made me even more proud to be in a team with them.
Well, this was it for the sneak peeks from my kitchen. Don't forget, tomorrow the stamps are for purchase and you can all show us how it's done :). I know I loved working with these stamps and will continue to use them in the future. Thank you so much Melissa for your incredible designs and for allowing me to work with them... I love it!!
Have a great day!!

Sneak Peak day two at Pink Cat Studio

Day two of the Sneak Peak at Pink Cat Studio!! Today I get to show you the project I did using Lily holding a heart of the Sweethearts set. But don't forget to check out the other Design Team girls blogs because there are more stamps from this set featuring today!!
I did a little wallet. I received a wallet like this from my dear friend Jeanette a while back and I loved it. I've been wanting to do a wallet like this one for a long time and I thought little Lily offering her heart would be a great stamp to use on a wallet like this. I found a link on Jeanette's blog to this tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers. The paper is again from Bo Bunny Sweetie Pie. The heart was done with Paper Glaze. And the image was coloured (as always) with my Derwent Watercolour Pencils and Copic Markers. The heart was touched with some stickles. The beads are from a box I bought on sale a while back, I've been wanting to use them ever since.

The stamp I'm featuring from the Kiki set today is Kiki with a cupcake and I just had to use this cupcake box I bought at All that Scraps a while back. The cupcake is store bought but it wasn't decorated so I did that myself. The Hello Cupcake sentiment is also from the Kiki set. The little hearts are from the Lily & Billy Sweethearts set.

The paper used is once again Bo Bunny Sweetie Pie. And I used my Derwent's, Copics and Stickles for the colouring. I gave the cupcake to my husband when he got back from work a while back and he loved it. Don't forget to check out the blogs of the other Design Team members since they also feature other stamps from this set! I'll be back tomorrow for the last sneak peak day and then Thursday you can finally order your own stamp sets... I'm sure you'll all want to by now!!

See you back tomorrow!!

First sneak peak day at Pink Cat Studio

Monday January 12, finally, the first day of the Sneak Peak days for the January release at Pink Cat Studio. I have had these stamps now for a couple of weeks and I love them so much and it has been so hard not showing anybody what they look like. I have had a lot of fun making the cards for these Sneak Peak days and now finally I get the chance to show them to you. The first set is called 'Lily & Billy Sweethearts Stamps' and this first day we get to show you this gorgeous stamp with Lily and Billy on a bike. The sentiment I used 'Together Forever' is also in the set and I used black embossing powder.

Don't you love that image? The papers I've used are from the Bo Bunny Sweetie Pie collection which I bought especially for this set of stamps so you'll be seeing this paper back in the next two days. The pins I bought from 'Scrapfever' a Dutch scrapbookstore, you'll find the link on the right and the ribbon is from stash. The cardstock used is Core'Dinations Black Magic. The tule is from Bazzill. I coloured the image as always with my Derwent Watercolour Pencils and my Copic Markers. The white highlights were done with a Uni-Ball Signo pen I received from my dear friend Jeanette (love it honey!!).

The second set is called Kiki Kitty Stamps and future a new little kitty designed by the amazingly talented Melissa. I love Kiki, she is perfect for quick projects and she is just super cute. Today in the sneak peak are no less then three Kiki stamps!! I'm featuring this one with a suitcase and a little cute mouse. I did a wallet for my passport using Kiki with the suitcase. To see sneak peaks of the other stamps in the sneak peak today please visit the mega talented other members of the Pink Cat Studio Design Team (I'm still so proud to be in a team with them!!). Since most don't live in Europe they won't post their cards at the same time I do though, but keep checking back and during the day all of them will post their sneak peaks.

I bought the leather wallet at an Internet Store. The red oval is felt and the oval Kiki was stamped on is foam. Both were cut using my Spellbinder templates. Stamping on foam is just like on paper only you need to let it dry a little longer. Colouring prooft a little more difficult. I didn't like how my Copics reacted on the foam so I just used my Derwent watercolour pencils. The nose of both the mouse and Kiki were done with Liquid Pearls Ruby Red. The little bell on the mouse was done with golden Stickles. If you want to sew on leather you should get a special leather needle, that makes the job a lot easier. I loved doing this project and I hope you like how it turned out.

Please don't forget to check the blogs of my fellow Design Team members, I'm sure they all did an amazing job, can't wait to check them out myself. I'll be back tomorrow with two other projects using these new sets. And don't forget, these gorgeous stamps will be on sale starting next Thursday!!
