Well, I promised last week the piece de resistance of bunnies, but....things went a little pear shaped. Still tastes good, just looks a little.... well, melted.
Bunny marshmallow! My Mum used to make these when I was a kid, and they were oh-so-good. Recipe from my CWA cook book.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of gelatine
125ml cold water (1/2 cup)
pinch salt160ml hot water (3/4 cup)
320g sugar (1 1/2 cup)
colouring and flavouring (optional)
1.Prepare your bunny moulds by brushing some melted butter over the inside and dusting them with an equal measure of cornflour and icing sugar.2. In a bowl combine gelatine, cold water and salt.
3. Bring sugar and hot water to the boil and pour over gelatine.
4.Beat until thick and white.
5. Add colouring and flavouring if desired. (I only added pink colouring to the mix after I had poured the little ones. I didn't add any flavour and they taste great.)
6. Pour into your moulds.7. Cover and stand in fridge for 24 hrs.
To turn them out I dipped them in a sink of hot water. This is where I probably went too far. The little ones came out easier, but I left the big one in too long and it melted the top, so her ears aren't as pronounced. Oh well, live and learn! Once they are on the plate, dust them with icing sugar and enjoy!
Hope you all have a great Easter break, I have some baking planned tomorrow, using this recipe for hot cross buns. Have a bunny great time on Sunday!

Bunny Friday - week 3
Bunny Friday! Yay! This week I want to show you the bunny I made from this fabulous pattern from Hop Skip Jump. This wasn't a free one, but for the small amount I paid for it, it was well worth it! Very well written and so easy to follow. Isn't she cute! This bunny is going to be a present for a very sweet little girl who just turned one. I hope she likes her!
And what self respecting rabbit doesn't like some carrots! The carrots I made using this great little tutorial from Clare and the dyed chenille from yesterday. So easy and quick! Thank you Clare!
Go and check out these gorgeous little bunnies, the tutorial found here. I'm going to have to make me some of them!

And check out this super cute scrappy bunny, made using an old t-shirt!

I hope these bunny patterns don't give you a hard time! Come back next week on the Bunniest of Fridays, Good Friday, when I (hopefully!) will have the piece de resistance of bunnies to show you, fingers crossed I can pull it off!

Bunny Friday - week 2
Yay! Bunny Friday again! I've found some simple knitting and crochet bunny patterns that are free on the net this week.
First this little crochet amigurumi bunny. It looks a little like Miffy! I'm not sure if this pattern is written in English or American (still unable to tell the difference!) if you know leave a message in the comments (Mum, that means you too).

Then there is this simple knitted bunny. Very cute. I think even I could manage to knit this one!

And this teeny tiny bunny from Little Cotton Rabbits. It is almost too cute for words! There is also a pattern for a teeny bear and a teeny iced bun! Too cute!

Hope these bunnies keep you going until next week! I plan to have a bunny done next week that I bought a pattern for, it's very sweet. Fingers crossed I can find the time!

Bunny Friday
Some of you may have guessed by now that I do love me some bunnies. And what better bunny season than Easter right?! So I thought from now until Easter each Friday I would share some bunny making tutorials I have come across in my bunny searching travels. Feel free to join in if you've found some bunny tutes too!
Recently I have been searching for some bunny stitching patterns and have come across some cuties!
There is this one from the blog orange you lucky, which I think is so cute and is definitely on my to do list.
And these bunnies look awesome. This one looks super quick too.
And I found this pattern on Floresita's vintage transfers finds blog. Very cute!
I hope these bunnies keep you going until next Friday!
