An update...

So since I have been in Idaho, I haven't felt a great need to blog, since I am among family and they know everything that is going on anyway. But blogging is a great outlet for me. Be prepared, there will be some whining at the end of this post.

So this is what we've been up to.

My family spent a week in Logan. Here we are at the 24th of July fireworks in Mendon, UT. For such a little town, it was a spectacular show. For those of you who don't know, the 24th of the July is celebrated in Utah with parades and fireworks. The 24th was the day Brigham Young arrived in Salt Lake Valley, looked out on the brown desert and said, "This is the place." I am grateful to my ancestors who crossed the plains and endured all that they did for their religious freedom. Here is Lohn with Gunnar and Sylas (who slept through the whole firework display) and Great Grandma Johnson (Lohns grandma).
My Mom and Dad and Tamyn and Ander with cousin Parker. They were inseparable the whole week.
Here we are at the 24th parade. We had the best seats ever. Luckily for us, the parade goes right in front of Grandma Johnsons house. We got to sit under her shady trees, gather TONS of candy and then eat the hot dogs and hamburgers she prepared for us. Here my kids are with cousins Jaron, Dallin and Jackson.
We celebrated Gunnars 5th Birthday on the 25th. We had a water party in Grandmas front yard. Lohn ambushed the kids with water balloons and the kids retaliated with water guns. Fun fun!
The little stinker sprayed me down with that hose.
And then we opened presents and ate cake!

We had a great time in Utah, and will be back soon for another visit.

And now for the whining.

Our health insurance runs out in ten days. What am I going to do???

The kids start school in 19 days. I guess I will start them here??? And then move and change schools mid-year???

The kids (T and A) need eyeglasses before they start school, but I was hoping to buy them AFTER we had a job and we were moved into our new home. For warranty purposes. Because I know they will have to be repaired 3 or 4 times. Especially with Sylas in the house. I guess I will just pick a nation wide company and hope that one will be near our new home???

Both the vehicles registrations run out next month. Including the one in Indiana. I guess I register them here in Idaho???

I really am doing okay, and I am grateful my mother in law loves having us here and doesn't get annoyed with the kids. I am grateful for a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer that actually CLEANS my clothes. I am grateful for a kingsized bed and a huge magic-filled backyard (here and in Logan) for the kids to explore. And I am especially grateful for Family and this opportunity to be with them. I do feel like this is a blessing to be here so we can be with them before we are shipped out to who-knows-where. (I had to turn my head and close my eyes when Lohn applied for a job in ALASKA) I am grateful for my husband who applies to 15 to 20 jobs a week, and still manages to work and bring in money. And we are all healthy. So really, we have everything we need. But my-oh-my this is difficult!

Happy Birthday to Gunner!!

Ugh, I'm so sorry that things are so hard. I am so, so sorry. It's so hard to know that things will work out, but to not know when and to be in a constant state of unable-to-plan because you have no idea where you'll be in a week/month/year/etc. You have my utmost sympathies. I wish I could find you guys a great job!!!

Sharon, I love you and it will work out!! Have you ever watched the mormon message "Good things to come" by Elder Holland? I watch this weekly and sit and cry the whole time. Watch it, I know you will love it if you haven't already! I will pray for you, but have fun while you are around such a fun, crazy family!! The McKee's are something to behold!! Good luck!

And don't forget about the DOW! Thankfully we're all in this crazy world together! I enjoy being a remote part of your family. Anyway, I always love your blogs... and venting is always good and healthy. Hang in there! You have a beautiful family!
