Doing a little painting

I painted this fairy for my mother for Christmas. I haven't painted in a long time and I realized how I missed it. There are to many fun crafts to do and not enough time to do them all!

Nugget Tin's

If you can't find the Hershey Nuggets to put in these tins, you can use Reese's. Here is a pic at what I did.

Wood Frame Christmas Decoration

Her is a decoration I made out of a wood frame. The insert is ceramic. The background is pattern paper. I used Staz on ink for the Merry and Bright stamp.

Making Christmas Decorations

I can't believe it is two months away until Christmas arrives. Hopefully I will be getting all my Christmas decorations from my house in Utah. In the mean time I will be making some to put up just in case. I made a family of snowmen. I got this idea off another website, but I can't remember the site. These are cut from 2x4's. I painted them white and the material for the hat is fleece. I put some bells on the hat.

Cookie Sheet Message Board

Here is a cookie sheet message board I made. I wanted to use metal because I wanted to have magnets. I went to the hardware store to purchase some thin metal, but dang, it's expensive. So I resorted to using a cookie sheet. I wanted the magnets to match the paper on the C/S, so I used the clear glass stones and attached the paper underneath. I also put modge podge over the paper so it won't rip easy.

Mini Photo Book

I made this mini photo book using baseball card protectors. They are the perfect size for wallet size pictures. I used my Bind it all machine for the binding, but you can use the small ring clasps and just use a hole puncher. This is what I carry in my purse.

Bind It Pocket File Folder Album

I wanted to make something for my daughter Kelsey, so I put together this album so she would have something to put her special things in. I made this from manila file folders. The flowers were from the Cricut cartridge "Plantin Schoolbook". And of course I used my new Bind It All. (I got that for my birthday from my husband Ü)

Recipe Book

DeeAnn who host our crafting group, purchased these small notebooks at the dollar store for us to use for our Recipe Books (she is so sweet). We took them home and dressed them up. I got the outside done, now I need to work on the inside. But with work and watching my three grand kids for awhile has slowed me down a bit. I just wanted to share what I am working on since I haven't posted in awhile and last Friday I couldn't get YouTube to add a Friday Highlight, so here you go Ü

Quick and Easy Easter Treats

Since I have 10 grand kids, I have to make easy treats for them. So this Easter I made some Easter Bunny bags of chocolates. Very simply, just stamp your image, color, cut with scallop scissors, attach to pattern paper, punch pattern paper with a Fiskra's scallop punch. I used bookmark bags from SU to put the chocolates in and that's it!

A few post down I posted a video on how to make a Maze book.
Here is what I did.
All it takes is one 12x12 sheet of paper and some covered chipboard

Cuttlebug Folder Album

I made this Cuttlebug Folder album along the lines of the Cuttlebug tags. This is something you can take with you to the store when you go shopping for new folders. It helps you so you don't buy duplicates. I will also keep this at my desk for inspiration, that way I don't have to drag out all the folders to look through to see what I want to use. I picked up this photo album at Wal-mart for $1.00. I liked it because it had a removable front sleeve so I could create my own cover.

Mini Backpack Box

Isn't this little backpack the cutest thing. Of course I had to make one. I got this idea from Stamp Happens http://www.stamphappens.com/stamp_happens/2008/08/mini-backpack-r.html . She has a nice template to print out. This is my first one that I made. I have all sorts of ideas that you could do with these. One is to fill them with candy for the grandkids Ü

Baby Tin Book

This is the Front of the Tin

Up close

Tin Open with pages tucked inside

Fully open

Fully open other side

I made this Baby Tin Book for a friend of mine who is having a baby girl. The words Angle and Girl are wood letters, I inked some of the edges but not all. I used the SU journal stamp to add journaling to the pages. On the front cover I used the little skittles for dimension. Also on the front cover I used a scallop punch for borders. Hand cut the flowers from the pattern paper. I used a flower punch for the yellow flowers. I got the tin at Target, they had them on Clarence and it was originally a tic tac toe game. I used double stick tape to attach the paper and chip board pages to the tin. Now all she has to do is add the pictures of her new baby Ü

Paper Box

This box is one of the easiest boxes to make. It's really fast to make too! Here is a link where you can get the measurements. It's a video so you can watch her make the box. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li0meRqJt4A

On my box I used Martha Stewart's scallop punch and Martha Stewart's flower Punch and then I added those "skittles" on top of the flowers.

Candy Box

This little box was very easy and fun to make. I got the idea from a youtube video. The link is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-UZz7zoQBQ .....
You sure can get a lot of great ideas from youtube and then make it your own.

Paper Bag Album

This is my first Paper Bag Album that I made. I got this idea from watching a youtube video tutorial. (link) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poVN2rU6WzU
This is so fun to make. Just watch the video and you'll get the idea Ü

Open Album. The smaller pages will be for journaling

Scalloped inserts. I used the Fiskars scallop punch

This is what the insert looks like. They tuck nicely in the bag.

Just another view of the album. Now all I need to do is add journaling and pictures Ü

Mothers Day Tin Gift

This is another class I am going to teach at church. It is a gift for Mothers Day. I filled it with 12 Reeses. Punched round circles and then punched the small brown flowers. I then added silver small brads added adhesive to the back of the circle and attached to the candy. Very simple and it makes a nice gift.

Mini Purse Album Wall Hanging

This is one way you can hang your mini purse albums. I made this from a wood plaque and I attached a coat hook onto the wood. I used Mod Podg to adhere the paper. The Cherish is a rub-on. Two of the purse straps are ribbon and one is beaded. I used Basic Grey paper for the albums along with cardstock.
