PS-SE Mad Scrapper's Xmas Party

I had blast with my 1st PS-SE Xmas party last Dec. 6 at Bel-air clubhouse. Met some of my scrapper friends and newbies.. Of course my fave part... SHOPPING!!!!! Got to buy lots of goodies...

I also love the Human Bingo where we are asked to have the clues signed by that person being reffered and when completed be eligable to the raffle... I was on the list... THE PREGNANT SCRAPBOOKER (apparently I was the only one who attended the party, aside from Mitch Sy who is also preggy but was signee of Visual Creations). That game is fun and I'm planning to do that also for our family reunion on the 24th. We had a halloween party because we were asked to come in costumes... We also did a valentine layout then had an easter egg hunt (we hunted for paper eggs) for a RAK... The food was yummy and I was so happy I didn't mind if I'm pagod afterwards... We also had an elephant swap and ATC swap.

Here are some of that day's pics:

Here's what I made for the swaps and challenges:

And for the yearly SE Christmas Card Exchange I got Cabbie as my 'baby'. Here's the card that I made and I also included an altered cake board that I made into a memo board. I handed it to her during the party.. free shipping! Hehehe...

I'm looking forward to my next PS-SE Xmas Party!!! Until next year!

Kaya 19 challenge 2 & 3

Forgot to upload it here... so toxic with school work, doing christmas gifts and cards... Here are my LOs for Kaya 19's challenge 2 & 3...

Challenge 2: NEGATIVE SPACE

I was totally clueless on challenge #2... Not that I don't know how to make a layout on negative or white space but I had a hard time to do a beautiful yet simple layout applying it. I decided to scrap a photo of my gift for my Hunei on our engagement anniversary next month. (You can view my blog entry here) I wanted the focus to be on my photo so I used a black background, inked the edges and just add the title.

Journaling: I don't mind waiting as long as I end up with you.

Challenge # 3: DISTRESSED LADIES

For Marj's challenge #3, I thought of creating a LO of my great grandmother. The distress challenge is just perfect so I could scrap a photo of my grams. I've wanted to do one for a long time and this challenge was just perfect. Thanks Marj now I have a LO of my Grams..(Sorry for the photo's poor quality, I took this one last night)

Journaling: Grams, I wish God has given me more time to get to know you better...

Kaya 19

When I saw Marj's challenge I got excited. It's been a while since I last joined Kaya due to my pregnancy. And Kaya 19 was just perfect.... until I saw challenge #1... BOWS!!! All I kept thinking was an LO on girls... but my daughter isn't born yet! So, I decided to make a boy layout that used a girly element. I'm not sure if I succeeded but at least I tried.*wink*

Journaling:Andrei, you'll always be my darling little boy. I hope you grow up with all the best that life can bring. I love you so... Mama

Materials:DCWV cardstocks (brown, blue, red, apple gree, green, orange), DCWV black stitch rub-ons, AAS ribbon, Others: buttons, foam letters.

Scrappin Kids' Marathon Challenge #5

Challenge # 5 is from LB's Issa. Her challenge is to create a 12x 12 MASCULINE PAGE but with a twist, ADD FLOURISH that doesn't take away the masculine feel on the page... Here's what I did....

A RIDE WITH DAD

side view

I don't have any chipboard flourishes so I just stamped swirly images on the sides to accentuate the foam stars.

Materials: SR blue grid worn background pp, Grafton Scrap Strip 3; DCWV Orange CS; Sara Bernards stamp; AC Red vinyl thickers; Others: star foam shapes.

Scrappin Kids' Marathon Challenge #4

This is probably my most challenging laout, yet. Challenge #4 by Liza was to use 5 DIFFERENT SB MEDIUM OR COLORS OF THAT MEDIUM IN A LAYOUT. Any of these can be used as long as they are of different types OR mixed medium with different colors. (Inks, stickles, embossing, watercolor, utee, paints or glimmer mist). I have to rush to the nearest LSS to purchase paints and stickles since I don't have much of the. (Actually, I have only one of both).

Anyway, here's what I've come up:

LOVE

side view detail
I used 3 SB mediums but in different colors: paint (3 colors), ink (2 colors) and local stickles (2 colors). Here's a breakdown of the SB mediums used: INK: Versamark Black (stamped image on the right side), Versamark Raspberry (for the inked sides on patterned paper); PAINT: MM Blush paint (photo); SEMCO Magenta Bright acrylic paint (heart chipboard); SEMCO Citrus Yellow arylic paint (letter chipboard); LOCAL STICKLES: LEEHO Pink Glitter Glue(heart chipboard); LEEHO Gold Glitter Glue (letter chipboard).

I have to improvise since the nearest LSS was not availble. Here's what I found at NBS that I used as substitute:

Materials: White CS; AAS pp, green felt strip; CE letter chipboard; MM Blush paint; LEEHO glitter glue; SEMCO acrylic paints; Versamark inks; Others: Heart chipboard

Scrappin Kids' Marathon Challenge #3

Challenge # 3 is all about using your SCRAPS. This challenge was given by the "Newly Crowned" Scrappin' Moms Idol - Cookie. Her challenge was to make a 12x12 layout of any thme. The catch? You have to use patterned paper or scraps that are not bigger than 4x4. Here's what I came up with... (Sorry for the poor quality of photos. My digicam broke down so I'm using my celphone camera)

YOUR WARM SMILE

side view

I inked different sizes of patterned paper on the sides with black ink then framed it around the photo. I arranged it in differnet diractions for a playful look just like the colors. I then doodled the journaling around the paper.

JOURNAL: Your warm smile makes my dark days very bright. All the worries, pain & sadness that life may bring is easily vanished from just seeing those darling dimples of yours. I could never ask for anything more. Just seeing you Andrei reminds me that I have the best gift life can give. I love you so much.

Materials: MM patterned papers; DCWV yellow & black CS; AC Vinyl thickers; Other: ricrac

Scrappin Kids' Marathon Challenge #2

Whew! Had a hard time looking for clue #2... First I found that "Sammy" leads to Wati's blog, but when I got there, it was on another blog..."Flower aka music genre" was the clue. Guess I checked her blog a little early that's why I haven't seen the clue there. Finally found her after checking her blog again.

Challenge #2 is all about MOST CREATIVE PHOTO MATTING EVER. I'd say my brain heat up the moment I read the challenge but thank God I was able to come up with something. I used foam sheets to mat my photo. Good thing I bought that when I restocked my scrap supplies this month. I chose to scrap my little princess' 1st picture from my 4D ultrasound. First I mat it in white foam sheet, then black, then on flesh. I doodled scallops on the flesh foam sheet to make it look like a frame. I then added bling for a girly touch. The title was also in foam and I added bling to match the frame of the photo. It's an 8x8 layout that is part of my DD's album. Here are the pics of my layout...

Scrappin Kids' Marathon Challenge #1

Challenge #1 - Favorite Outfit

Clue found on Jessy's blog. The challenge was to make a layout about our favorite outfit in the closet. Here's what I made:

GLAMOUR

side view

JOURNAL: I only own three dresses but this one's my favorite of all. It's a knee-length purple dress that I can wear on special occasions. I love it's V-neck cut, the details on the side and the BLING! It fits my body perfectly and flatters my "mother" curves very well. It's simple but glamourous.

Materials: DCWV White CS, Autumn Leaves pps, Prima flowers, AAS ribbon, bling, chipboard alphas.

Just got home from our out of town in Tagaytay... My body is sore from wlaking and it hurts because of sunburn. I forgot to bring my sunblock. Anyway, here are my last week of March creations..

Here is my Pagemaps Minimap Sketch that Becky asked me to create a sample layout:
I made 2 samples out of this sketch. The first one was a layout of my son and I fliped the sketch to accomodate a landscape photo.

And here is what Becky published:

This is Elliana Ceresse, my friends daughter that is a favorite subject of my scrapbooks today. Her parents wedding are one of my also frequent subject in scrapping. ('Now and Forever' digi layout above)
