Summery Tilda

Our current challenge on Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to create a Summer inspired project. Well, it certainly feels like Summer here already, and I know I would love to be holding a delicious ice cream like this cute little Tilda is.

I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday for the layout of this card. The Tilda is from the Lazy Summer Days collection and I have placed her in front of an open gate where she is eating her yummy ice cream to stay cool. I used my new copic ABS 1 airbrush system to do the grass and the sky for this image. I am having so much fun with this thing. I also used it to turn the clear acrylic button under the ribbon yellow and the spellbinders shape with the sentiment stamped on it as well. It's really easy to airbrush with the spellbinders, if you leave the paper in the die when you airbrush it, you will automatically get a white border around the outside like I have done here. I added some crystal lacquer to the ice cream to make it look like a Popsicle.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Ok, I know it's not May yet so we don't really have the flowers, but we sure have had the Apriil showers this week. I decided to make a flowery Tilda card to get my mind off of the rain. I have had these flower soft toppers for a little while, but hadn't used them. I thought the flowers
in the topper would be a perfect match with the flowers that Bridesmaid Tilda is holding in her hand. The toppers are easy to assemble. There are 3 layers the first layer is the entire scene,

then you but the curtains and the windows popped up from that layer. Next you pop the curtains and the valance up at the top up from the window layer. This makes a very nice dimensional scene for your Tilda. I put flower soft on several sections of the picture with flowers in it. On the top section of the flowers I just used the delphinium blue flower soft, but on the bottom 2 sections, I mixed all the flower soft (delphinium blue, summer, heather, and autumn) together to make a nice wild flower looking mixture. I colored my Tilda with copic markers.
Dress RV00, RV02, V000, V01
Hair E35, YR23, Y21
Shoes E35 E33
Flower Stems YG63
Skin, E02, E00, E000, E0000, YR000, R20
I attached Tilda to one of the curtains and put some flower soft on the bouquet in her hand. Then I added the sentiment Best Wishes (also from the flower soft topper) and a rose I made with my sizzix 3D flower die. I cut the rose in white paper and then sprayed it with a combination of black cherry glimmer mist and cotton candy shimmerz spritz. This particular flower is the larger one with the smaller flower in the middle.
