Ruby Rock-It!: Journal Art Inspiration

Hello Everyone!
We were challenged to design a vision board this month.  Now I confess to having a 'bucket list' of things I want to do and achieve and a whole lot of personal goals I would like to work on.  Rather than create a board concept, I have gone with the art journal approach.  I am totally new to art journaling, but with saying that I am totally up to the challenge.
This page is all about remembering to 'breathe', letting go and acceptance.
Ruby Rock-It! Products:
Bella! Cosmos CMS68 Manifest
Crafters Choice Bling VE773 Stars and Bling VE964 Iridescent Blue
Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber, Abandoned Coral, Blueprint Sketch and Cracked Piastachio

Other:
Black pigment ink, Glitter Glue, Tim Holtz Stamp, Art Journal

I created a water colour background with Distress Inks.  I worked with Fossilized Amber, Abandoned Coral, Blueprint Sketch and Cracked Piastachio.  Stamped detail was added with black pigment ink.
Glitter Glue highlighted some of the stamped details and fussy cut elements.
The Bella! Mini Theme Cosmos was perfect for embellishing and a few elements along with the sentiment were cut from the Manifest paper. These were layered over the top of the water colour background along with a sprinkling of Crafters Choice bling.
Thanks so much for dropping by,
Till next time

2Crafty Chipboard and Kraft+: Laugh

Hi Everyone,

Popping in with my take on this month's Kraft+ Challenge.  2Crafty Chipboard are also  sponsors for this month so I have incorporated 2CC loveliness along with 'blast from the past' products.

'Blast From The Past Elements' include: ribbon, button, punched elements and an older Prima patterned paper.
A mixed media background was created on the Kraft cardstock - Heidi Swapp Primrose and Mustard Color Shine with Colour Burst powders over the top.

2 Crafty Chipboard Flourish 3 was positioned underneath the photo with trimmed Climbing Rose Bush pieces and tucked in around the main embellishment cluster.
A 6" Circle Revolution Frame frames the photo with a Word Circle positioned over the top.

Apart from the word circle, all chipboard elements were kept in there natural state
before altering with Ultramarine Blue Colour Burst powder and water.

All the details for the Kraft+ challenge and inspiration can be found HERE

Thanks so much for dropping by,
Till next time,

Layout Inspiration: Simply The Best

Hi Everyone,

Popping in to share a recent layout created for 2Crafty Chipboard showcasing their fabulous Star Frame With Stars,  Swirly Star Border and Simply The Best - Word Title.

I have also had lots of fun playing with Color Burst powders and water. I created the background with Fuchsia and Orchid and have also colour coordinated the chipboard elements.
The Frame Star with Stars was first painted with a coat of Dina Wakley heavy white paint.  A burst of water colour fun was added to coordinate with the background.  Again I used Fuchsia and Orchid.
The word title has been inked black and positioned over the star frame.

Swirly Star Border cascades on an angle from the Star Frame,
also painted white and altered with Orchid.

I also added a fun element to the page with a silhouette photo.  I positioned this so as
to be swinging from the chipboard elements.

Remember:

Thanks so much for dropping by today,
Till next time,
