Bags are unpacked... finally!

Hooray! I think I may be at home for a while... Got back from Nashville late Thursday and back to work on Friday. Thankfully this week will be my short week (I have Friday off) so maybe I can recover a little bit...

Had a wonderful time and got a chance to truly experience the Music City. The photo above is one I snapped from my hotel room of the Tennessee State Capital. We stayed in an awesome place downtown with close proximity to all the hot spots! While we were there Lady Antebellum was filming their latest music video a block away. My traveling companions actually got to see the filming. I was a little under the weather that night and decided to stay in my room! :-(

Some of the folks at this training were actually extras in the video. I can't wait to see the final product. Also Queen Elizabeth was staying in our hotel. Never got to see HRH but thought it was cool that she was in the area...

But my favorite excursion was to The Grand Ole Opry. It was even more special seeing that it had only been open for a week after being refurbished. If you remember, Nashville was flooded earlier this year and after seeing the devastating photos, it was amazing to see them back open in such a short time. The stage was under 4 feet of water! WOW! On the night I was there Josh Turner was performing. He started out with "Long Black Train"... one of my all time favs...

Well on to crafting...

This card is actually a repeat image from last week. I love using pumpkins in my fall cards and this one will be a Copic class project I am teaching Monday night. The card design is a little smaller than what I usually go with... 4 X 5 1/2 inch....

I'm back....temporarily...

This week has been hectic. I traveled to Louisville for our statewide SHRM conference. Tuesday night we were treated to a lovely dinner on the Belle of Louisville. If you ever get the chance to see Louisville this way, DO! We were treated like kings and queens... unfortunately this lady ate ENTIRELY too much over the week so I have to make some serious time with the treadmill. I snapped the above photo of the skyline as we were cruising Tuesday. A great time was had by all!

My blog will be quiet for at least another week, so please don't forget me... lol... I motor out Tuesday for several days of training in Nashville. Maybe I will make it big! OK... that will not happen since I can't carry a tune in a bucket... Singing is not my talent... :-P

Blessings to you and if not before we will chat late next week!

Happy Birthday Barnyard!

You might be wondering what the heck a barnyard is. Or why would I be wishing an inanimate object happy birthday... Really I haven't lost my mind. (Wink, Wink) As you can tell by my blog's title and the photos I raise St. Bernards. Over the years my fluffers have lovingly become my St. Barnyards. My friends and family expect almost every card to have some reference to my beloved Saints. This card was created for my hubby's birthday. I found the perfect stamp (someone's cast off, how lucky for me)! That is the key to my favorite cards. I notice they all incorporate something I love or a technique I love. I hope you have a chance this week to create something you love! Till next time...

I'm in love!

Yes, it's true! But please don't tell my husband. I really don't think he has to fear. You see the object of my affection is a crafting product. I am sure he will love competing with an inanimate object! LOL Some of you out there in blogger land probably already have this stuff... Smooch Spritz. If you have not tried it rush out and buy some now. It is wonderful, addictive and ever so fun to use!
