3 cards

Hello! Since it's been so long since I posted, I have 3 cards today. ;) A girl that works with my hubby asked for a card to give to her man who will be leaving for Afghanistan soon...I made her 3. For this first one I used the Our Troops set from PinkByDesign. I did some masking of the words corps and airman to create corpsman.
I hand cut the hearts. The papers are from the US Navy K and Company stack. Onto the next...
For this one I used the sweet heart/earth cut from the Give A Hoot cartridge. I cut the top layer out of white cardstock and used tumbled glass and broken china distress inks to custom color it. I spritzed that with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister to add shine...
I put the cut on a wobble so it wiggles. :) The sentiment is from the Ain't No Sunshine set from MarketStreetStamps. I just LOVE that font!
For this last SUPER SIMPLE one I used the camel from the Animal Kingdom cartridge. I thought a cammo camel would be funny since he will be in camel country...ok, maybe it's just me. HA Anyhoo...his face is from the Animal Faces Medium set from PeachyKeenStamps. The sentiment is from the Just A Little Note To Say set from MyCreativeTime

Hoppy Hello *Throwback Thursday Challenge*

Hoppy Hello peeps! Emma has started a Throwback Thursday challenge over on her blog called My Creative Time. She is my new bestie, so I was stoked to give this a go {Aussie Lingo!} HEHEHE....Anyhoo, the idea behind the challenges will be to use our poor neglected older cricut cartridges. For her first challenge we were to use Animal Kingdom. If you don't have it, don't get your kangaroo tail in a twist...Just do a project with an animal theme. ;o) I have to say that this card just makes me happy! I love the Mama and baby roo's!

I stamped hi on the little roo's belly as a fun little surprise for the recipient to see when they pull her up. The ADORABLE faces were stamped with the Animal Faces Medium set from PeachyKeenStamps.com. For the baby roo I added an open mouth to make it look like she was yawning. The sunshine is cut out from Doodlecharms and it's face is stamped with the new stamp set called Princess Face Assortment from PeachyKeen. I used this stamp set on my Pin-up girl, but this shows you that they're super versatile! Love that set! The hoppy Hello sentiment is from papertreyink.com and so are the papers used here except for the patterned paper grass.

I hope you're having a Roo-tastic day! Head on over to Emma's Blog to join in on the new challenge fun!

BIG KANGAROO HUGS!!!!

Devlin's Pig Farm 2 page layout

Howdy y'all! Yee Haw, it's Saturday!!! This project is going in my cousin's little boys bedroom in two 12x12 shadowbox frames. He is OBSESSED with pigs, and I hope he LOVES this! I sure had fun making it! OINK OINK
I used a few cartridges for this...Everyday Paper dolls for the farmer and the tractor. I cut the tractor twice so I could make my own layers.
I wrote "Devlin Tractor Co." really little on the tractor. ;o)
I LOVE how my little farmer turned out! He even has "snaps" for his overalls!
Back to listing cartridges...The barn, windmill, and hay bundles are from Old West...The piggies are from Animal Kingdom...And I think the clouds are from Create-a-Critter...Oh, and the title font is the marker feature from Pooh Font. I hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Farmtastic wishes!

Best Fishes and Miss You cards

Ok, I admit it, I am addicted to kraft cardstock. There. I feel better. ;o) The "Best Fishes" card was made by cutting the cute lil' fish out with my Animal Kingdom cricut cartridge at 2 inches and then stamping the ADORABLE face. The face comes in the Animal Faces Medium set from PeachyKeenStamps.com that has a face for EVERY animal on that cartridge. Cute, huh?!
The "Miss You" card was made using one of the new Faceless Flowers sets from PeachyKeenStamps.com. I stamped the flowers on the base of the card, and then stamped them again and cut them out. I attached them to the card with pop dots. The "miss you" sentiment stamp is from the Simply Sweet Occasions set by My Pink Stamper.
Hope you have had a wonderful weekend.

Turkey Card

hello! the mailman brought me a ton of peachykeen stamps (peachykeenstamps.com)yesterday, so i just had to break them in! i cut the turkey a bunch of times with my "animal kingdom" cricut cartridge at 3 inches (cut apart and layered it)...i stamped her cute face with the 3/8" bird face from the "Winter Face Assortment" (PK-520)...i colored in her beak with an orange Sakura Souffle pen (it raises a lil' when it's dry!) then i used my new "Medium Polka Dot Print" (PK-101) to create the pattern on the Craft cardstock...i first inked it up with Tim Holtz "Distress" embossing powder (to get it good and juicy) i then inked over that with Colorbox ink in "cream white"...then stamped my image and sprinkled "Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel" over it and melted it with my heat gun...i added "UTEE" 2 more times...so the end result is cool little domed white shiny dots...the Plaid paper is from the "Nana's Nursery Baby girl" stack from DCWV...i added a dollar ribbon from Michaels and called it done ;o)

*i'm not gonna lie...this one kinda took forever what with the hand stitching and all...but i think it turned out cute, so it was worth it!*
