'Live Everyday with Intention' - by Emma Zappone

Hello to you all this fine Thursday.
Today I am sharing a project that I made last year sometime and have yet to share it with you.
It was a fairly simple page, with techniques that we all like to play with. Plus I found the video of it being created too....bonus!!

It is an A4 layout created on heavy white cardstock. I started by using an image transfer by Dress my Craft and then a coat of clear gesso to seal that and the page together. I would love you to check out the video to see the process as it probably would explain the process much better than I could 😂😂😂

I used some great products on this page including the awesome Aall & create stamp Lotus Clusters, which I stamped onto the background with emboss ink and then using White emboss powder heat set it. I also stamped the same flowers onto white card this time with black ink and then added colour in a watercolour type technique.

The colours used where a combination of Izink pigment inks and Distress Crayons. I used the same colours on the background as well as on the stamped flowers. With the stamped flowers I incorporated a little pink too. The additional stamps on the back ground were from Tim Holtz Field Notes set and I used permanent ink to stamp these and add some more vibrancy to the page.
Beats using Black all the time.

I kept my embellishments simple, so the colours really made the statement. I did manage to use an awesome Finnabair Metal flower amongst the flower cluster.
I hope you enjoy the process video and I will see you all again soon.

Stay crafty, Em xx

New Beginnings - with Emma Zappone

 Welcome to 2022!!
ScrappingClearly has got some awesome things planned for everyone this year.
And today I'm sharing with you an A4 layout and a Video that has been created using inspiration from the absolutely awesome NEW mood/sketch for January. The colours scream summer and fun!
Here is what I was inspired to create......

Here is the mood/sketch...

Super cool right???
I decided to focus on the mood part of this board, and save the sketch for later in the month.

I used lots of products in my stash but also available in the SC shop. Firstly the stencil I used is a Finnabair stencil Oriental wall used with snowflake paste. Soft and glittery which was a great base to start with. Then I smooshed colour. I chose to use 2 colours for the background work. First is an Izink pigment in celestial and then a Distress crayon in Peacock Feathers.
These worked so well in with the paste.

Ok, so I LOVE moulds and this page incorporates plenty. I used a variety of different ones, but love the big palm leaf and of course the machine parts one. These are painted with Dylusion paints in a mix of Squeezed orange & Polished Jade. The metal Finnabair mechanical flowers were primed with white gesso first and then painted with the coloured acrylic also.

I added a little stamping onto the background to add more layers using the Tim Holtz Glitch1 set. It's grungy but goes with just about everything. I love the texture it brings.

The chipboard frame is one I have in my stash and I primed it with white gesso first and then with complimentary Distress crayons 'coloured' it in. Then sprayed with water and painted out the crayon, which created this cool blended watercolour effect. Then it was clear embossed.

In the video you will see me use a flower stamp by Art by Marlene and then coloured with more Distress crayons and then cut out to help build my layers. I absolutely love the dimension of this layout.
The papers that mat my image are what I have in my stash, and I love adding book paper for that slight reference to vintage style that I love.

I hope you are inspired by this project and the amazing board that is available for you to play with NOW!
I hope you enjoy watching this project coming together too...watch now with a cuppa....

I will see you all very soon.
Stay crafty friends, Emma. xx

Have an open Heart by Emma Zappone

Hello everyone!
Emma with you on the Blog this Sunday.
Have you been playing along with the awesome Cyber Crop challenges yet? Lots of fun to be had!
Today I'm sharing a page I created using this months moodboard.

Lets refresh our minds with the fab board.....

I found this awesome Cyberpunk image on Pinterest and thought how great it suited the colours and vibe I was getting from the colour palette off the moodboard. I started with a white background and then swiped brush strokes with some black acrylic paint.
Then outlining some circles free hand painted the bigger circles with Art Alchemy Acrylic in the violet-green opal magic, it has that awesome transparent kinda shimmer which created the purple tones over the black paint.

Once dry I then outlined these circles with matching Posca pens. Grabbing a couple of different circle stencils & blending tools I rubbed through Distress Oxides, Salvaged patina & Spun Sugar to a few areas.

Behind my image I have layered a couple of chipboard arrows, again painted with black gesso and a layer of White Pearl Acrylic paint. I stamped in 3 places with one of the stamps featured in the Aall & Create pack Take Flight.

Finally a couple of stickers from the Idea-ology small talk pack and a few splashes of Izink pigments - Cotton candy & Opal Frost this page was finished.
Quick, simple & effective.

I hope you join in with the crop as the moodboard is also a feature along with other awesome challenges. We love seeing your creations come through.

Till next time, Em xx

1 Stamp 4 Colours Art Journal plus Video with Emma.

Hello!
Emma with you all today to share a very quick and colourful Art Journal page.

I took one of the sheets out of my Art by Marlene journal and prepped it with some clear Gesso. For the colour on the page, I added a little water to create a watercolour effect. Choosing to use some IZINK dye sprays to now add colour. The first colour I used was sea spray, second was Sunflower which also helped create a little green colour and lastly Antique Pearl to create a shimmer.

Just a couple of loose circles was the start to the composition. You can see it all come to life in the video linked at the bottom of this post.

Next came the stamp. Using the AALL & CREATE #323 Navigate Home set, I went for the toucan & wheel stamp. The great thing about these stamps is they have numbers and words, so you can use them in all sorts of ways. To add one more colour to the mix, my 4th colour was made with an orange stamp pad that I had in my stash. This just tied it all together. And made sure it only grabbed 'pops' of the stamp including the numbers. I did the same with some yellow.

Then with the same stamp I stamped it on a sheet of white cardstock. Coloured it in with some markers and fussy cut it out. This becomes the dimensional layer on the page. Using a fine tipped pen I loosely scribbled around the circles and the border.

Finally a couple of Tim Holtz stickers and a little more flicking of the sea spray dye and this little project was now all complete.

Enjoy the process Video..

I hope you get some crafting time this lovely Sunday and I will see you all again soon.

Em xx

BLOOM by Tracey Thorne

Welcome to November my friends and a new Moodboard has gone live over on the Scrapping Clearly Share and Inspire Facebook Page and it is a cracker... full of colour and life. I hope you enjoy what I have put together to kick your Saturday of creativity off!

I started by splodging some Izink Dye Ink by Seth Apter in flamingo on to the page. I then worked out placement for my photo and worked around that by adding black stitching. To this I have used the AALL & Create stencil #49 by Olga Helidwein and some Tim Holtz distress Texture Paste. I dried this using my heat tool. I have then added colour to the mandalas by using Vicki Boutin crayons and a little water. At this stage I have also added the stitched black border and added a little more water colour to the edges of the layout.

I have then stamped in black ink under the photo using the AALL & Create stamp #441 by Bipasha BK I have also added a little stamped script to drag out the line of the stitched rectangle I have created.
The photo has been layered on some muslin, Project Life Acetate binder tab, Heidi Swapp stickers with a little added cotton in pink and black.

I stamped out a few more of the AALL & Create #441 stamps and fussy cut them - then used a little water colour crayon again to match their stamping.

Other embellishments added were some little dewdrop crystals, Heidi Swapp stickers, Heidi Swapp epoxy word-cuteness.

For the title I chose a quote that I have typed out and highlighted the word BLOOM by using thickers

I hope this has given you a little Inspiration on this beautiful Saturday morning.

enjoy your creative weekend

Tracey xoxo
