NOT a DT Card :)

Hi peeps!

For the first time in a looong while, I've made a card "just for fun" for a special challenge :)
At Sugar Bowl Challenge Blog, Marlene has made a great Sketch for Challenge #50, and it was so fun to play with :) There's also a theme to the challenge - Embossing.
Actually, I made another card at first, but when the card was finished, I thought it was something wrong about the image I used...hmmm, it turned out, that the stamp I used,  wasn't a Sugar Nellie stamp *LOL*
So I grabbed another "neglected" image, and started over again, and here's the final result :)

Size: 15 x 15 cm
Ink: Archival Ink - Coffee, DistressInk - PumiceStone & Victorian Velvet, Water Mark Ink Pad.
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - image, Lili of the Valley - text (not in store).
Colouring: Distress Ink - Refills (mainly Pumice Stone and a mix of Spun Sugar & Dusty Concord).
Papers: Memory Box - Gossamer Collection, Bazzill - white & pink cardstock, Canson - Montval aquarellpaper 200g.
Tools: Spellbinders - Nesting Label, Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, EK Success - Snowflake punch, StampinUp! - Word Window punch, Martha Stewart - Scandinavian Snowflake punch, Inkido - Frost Embossing Powder, Heat Gun.
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts - Open Paper Roses 20 mm, 15 mm & 10 mm, Semi Open Roses 8 mm, Rosebuds 4 mm, Aster Daisies, Gypsophilas & Self Adhesive Pearls, Ranger - Stickles "Star Dust" (I luv this glitter glue), lace.
I've used Dry Embossing on the white panels, and Heat Embossing on the snowflakes.

I'm also entering these challenges with this card:

Thanks for peeking in - have a great weekend!
Hugs, Lena Katrine :)

Sugar Bowl - Sugar Sugar April

Another paperbag inspired by Maya's Gift-bag-tutorial at Inkywings, made for the Sugar Bowl Challenge Blog. This months Sugar Sugar Project for April , is to make something other than a card, with the easter/spring theme. This is a spring-themed bag (here in Norway the foxes are coming out of their winter lair now:), that I'm gonna fill with some small goodies and give to a friend! I've used the Stampavie Challenge Sketch #2 for the layout on the bag. I even challenged myself into using three different patterened papers - woohoo!!

Guuult er kuuult!

I just had to have this title in norwegian :o) In english it means something like "Yellow is so cool"!
I was suppose to finish and post this card yeasterday evening, as I promised a good friend of mine... I'm really sorry Maya (she's probably been checking my blog ten times last night ;), but here's the story:
Hard day at work yeasterday - when I came home from work, and had made dinner and eat it, I was so tired, that I decided to rest for an hour...
Well, I fell a sleep about 7 pm last night, and woke up at 6 am this morning!!! *tji-hi* So I finished my card this morning, and here's my first yellow card ever (and probably not the last ;):

Some weeks ago, Maya challenged me to make a yellow card. I'm a bit slow, so when we where at the Scraporama Fair, Maya had bought me some yellow patterened paper, and yellow and orange ribbons, just to get me started ;) Thank you so much, sweetie - I've used the patterened paper and the orange ribbon on this card - honouring you Maya! I even got the cute stamped image from her!
The card is also made for this week's Sugar Bowl Challenge #7, where the theme is spring or easter - and I feel this card is a little bit of both (and probably the closest to an eastercard I'll ever gonna make:)! And I made the card after the Sketch #52 at "Kortskissen" Card Challengeblog.

Size: 15 x 15 cm
Ink: Archival Ink - Coffee and Black, Distress Ink - Tea Dye, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo and Fired Brick.
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - Gorjuss Girls, Norsk Stempelblad AS - Mini-Texts, Stempelglede - Texts
Papers: 3ndy Papir - "Sunny Days", Bazzill - Yellow Cardstock and white dotted cardstock
Embellishments: Ribbons, Prima - Flowers, Papirloftet - Gem-brads, Unik Hobby - Butterfly-charms, Panduro - Headpins, Scrapp og Lapp - Methal-pearls, and some eyelets and yellow brads
Tools: Martha Stewart - Doily Lace Punch, Stampin'Up - Word Window Punch, Spellbinder - Oval Nestabillities, Inksenssials - White Opalic Pen

Whishing you all a great, sunny sunday, and a terrific easter!
