TSK BELLA & BPK VALERIE ~ YOU SHINE GIRL ~ CHARM

OH my! Every time I receive my kits from The Scrappery I am always blown away. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

And, this time... I was blown TOTALLY away! Oh my goodness! IN LOVE!

I went crazy with the layering - because... why not... so many beautiful embellishments - vellum, gold, acetate... rubbing... everything that I LURVE>>>>

The Alphas from BPK Valerie are to DIE FOR!!!

GOLD... & VELLUM! What more could you want?

This is the first time I have machine stitched over Acetate alphas and it was way to easy - not too thick that it jammed my sewing machine - something I have always worried about!

and how absolutely STUNNING are the gold foil words!!

With all this on one layout I have STACKS still left from my kits... cross your fingers I get to play a little more VERY soon!

AND I hope that YOU have purchased your kits and get to play too!

Make sure you share with us over on The Scrappery Facebook Page & Group!

TSK CLEO ~ HELLO DARLING GIRL ~ CHARM

Last but certainly not least, here is the last layout I have created using TSK Cleo...

This time I decided to go with Hot Pink, Teal & Gold for this layout from the kit...

I have used a lot of the Serendipity Ephemera again {there's STILL more left to play with!} along with a few things from BPK ORLA...

Pink, Teal & Gold work SOOO well together! Oh and the touch of Silver Crystals...

I have to say out of the whole kit I am loving the Gold Sequin string - its GORGEOUS!

I hope you've liked how I've used TSK CLEO, it's such a fabulous kit to play around with!

TSK CLARA ~ MY CUTE DARLINGS ~ CHARM

I've been a little flustered these days, busy with kids back at school, feeling like I am driving non-stop with dropping them all off in the morning, then picking Ryarne up for her half days and then going back to pick the other two up in the afternoon. Of course, then I have the shopping to do which seems to be an everyday occurrence as I seem to be forgetting something or needing something different everyday!

Anyway, I thought I would share this layout I started a while ago and have finally finished, by adding a little machine stitching - I think adding a little coloured thread has really made it POP!

I just love using the mixture of chipboard, die cuts and vellum in the TSK Clara kit again.

It's so easy to layer the many different pieces, giving it a 3D look...

and how adorable are the Typewriter thickers ??

I have to say I have got SOOO much out of this kit, it's so easy to work with and has such a great mix of embellishments, which makes it even easier to play! Especially when I'm not feeling the mojo & feeling highly strung and stressed out!

I hope I have inspired you to just go for it, and get out your kids and have a play! Once you get started I guarantee you will find it very therapeutic! I know I have!

Happy Creating!

Project Life Wk 51 - using The Scrappery December kits {and more!}

Hello! Charmane here today!

I am WAY behind in my Project Life 2014, but I have decided to keep plodding along and choosing my most favourite weeks and events.

SO, I just HAD to scrap my family christmas get together - and the PLK Leonardo was perfect for this - plus a few bits from other kits too...

I decided to use the Kraft, White & Gold Project Life cards from the kit, along with a couple from the Becky Higgins Golden Kit that I purchased from The Scrappery shop & I have made my own PL cards to match in as well.

Here's a closer look at the Left side:

For the Week 51 title, I have used one of the PL cards from the PLK Leonardo kit and the alphas, along with sequins from the BPK Noelle and bits from previous kits...

To create this card I have actually stapled a 3x4 card to this 4x4 photo to make it look like a 6x4 card. I have added rubons & alphas and then journalled.

Here is the Right side {My favourite side}:

I am absolutely LOVING the brads from the TSK Clara kit & the adorable bows in the BPK Noelle too!

On this 3x4 PL card I have used the cute little chalkboard journalling spot and Candy brads from the BPK Noelle kit & all I needed to do was add a machine stitched border around the glittery Merry Christmas PL card from the PLK Leonardo kit - keeping it simple but effective!

On this 6x4 {which is from the BH Golden Kit that was in The Scrappery store} I have added the heart from the American Crafts - Stitched - Clear Accent Stickers and used the thickers from the PLK Leonardo kit. The journalling spot I have used is one of the Printables that are exclusive to The Scrappery Subscribers.

The 3x4 PL Card below is one of my favourites from the whole spread - I've used a mix of embellishments from new and old Scrappery kits.

The Gold Embossed PL card I have created myself, using the Dotty mask from a previous kit, along with Watermark Ink & Gold Embossing Powder. I've then stuck on the Wood Veneer heart from my stash.

I love that it's possible to mix the kits up - so if you are like me, and love ALL the kits there's no reason why you can't combine them and come up with gorgeous Project Life Spreads and layouts!

Stay tuned for more!

I hope I've inspired you to get out your kits and have a play!

Thanks for looking! Please leave a comment so that we know what you think & if you have any questions!

MORE Christmas Cards - using BPK Noelle

I don't think I've made so many Christmas Cards as I have this year! I think it must be the gorgeous goodies I have been inspired to use this year!

I needed to make just a few more extras, so when I saw the BPK Noelle I knew it would be easy to whip up more...

And here is what I have come up with...
It was quite easy to put these together:

Cut a 12x12 Kraft Cardstock in half, and score in half again. Fold to make card base. {This will make TWO cards of course}

Fold the Red Candy stripe bag to fit in the 6x6 size of card, layer with one of the 4x4 patterned papers over the top, then layer with one of the gorgeous Christmas tags {make sure you add the twine to the tags}.

When I was happy with the positioning I have stapled the 3 layers together {don't staple directly to Kraft cardstock or it will show through on the inside of card}

Add the extra embellishments - I have sprinkled sequins, added washi tape and the cute little bows from the kit.

The Wood Veneers and alphas were from my stash - I am sure you all have something like that in your stash that you could add?

I know there must be a few of you that have the BPK Noelle kit - I would LOVE to see what you are doing/have done with yours! Please share in the comments! And let me know what you think of these cards too!

I would also like to wish you a VERY Happy New Year!

Hello! Charmane here! Just for something different I'm going to show you some simple cards I have made using The Scrappery Elsa BPK {which is the *Bits & Pieces* Kit} I believe there is ONE in stock HERE!

I just fell in love with all of the Silver in this kit, and knew exactly what I wanted to do with those Silver Glitter Triangles - make Christmas Cards with TREES on them, of course!

But first I wanted to create a unique background using the Mister Huey's Silver Mist, I've done this by using the "Watercolour" Background technique that I've seen being used by others - this is where you use scrunched up plastic packaging, spraying a few squirts of mist and then scrunching it onto your Cardstock... simple!

 photo CHARM2_zpsd23eedc6.jpg

Then I've added my stamps {you may recognise them from another Contributor?}

 photo CHARM3_zpsf5fe7fc4.jpg

I've then added the CUTE Dear Lizzy Silver glitter triangles, and also the Studio Calico Mistable Stars from the ELSA BPK and my own handmade Chevron...I've then added a border by using a journalling pen, then stuck it to a pre-made blank white card! Done!

 photo CHARM1_zps7cf4a931.jpg

Here are a few more similar ones that I have made using the same background technique... I have also used the Studio Calico Silver rub-ons from the ELSA Kit on these cards too.

 photo charm5_zps289f88c1.jpg

I'm planning on giving these {and more that I've made} to my relatives at my up and coming Family Get Together - I can't wait! Bring on Christmas!

I hope you all Have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas fellow Scrappers!

This week I have been working on some homemade Christmas decorations for my new house, including this pretty no-so-traditional bunting for my fireplace. Here’s a little step by step process to make these beauties, and the great thing is, they are completely customizable! Include photos, text, even journaling!

1. Start with two packets of DIY Shop Large Chipboard Pennants and a collection of papers from the past couple of TSK kits from The Scrappery

2. Attach the papers to the pennants using a dry adhesive (wet may cause buckling of the paper).

3. Order your pennants in a desired colour order. I decided on a random scattering of papers but you could consider a pattern, or an ombre effect of colours too!

4. Now it’s the fun part…EMBELLISHING! Add as many (or as little) embellishments as you like! I used a variety from the BPK Noelle and various thickers from past kits and my stash. I also added a few Christmassy photos too!

5. After you have finished embellishing your beautiful pennants, it’s time to string them together! I re-poked through the paper to make the holes visible, then grabbed some gold and white baker’s twine from my stash and threaded them together. I used 11 pennants in total, which is about 2 metres worth of bunting.

6. Now hang your beautiful creation!

Hope this can give you some ideas for some no-so-traditional decorations for your home!

Adele xxx

                                        **************

Merry Christmas everyone and we hope you have a very creative New Year xoxo

November TSK - Camille - Thank You Cards - by Charm

Hello Everyone! Well, it's that time of year again! To make THANK YOU cards for all of the kids teachers - this year I have remembered and have actually made time to make some!

I always am hesitant making them, usually thinking that I can't do it, not enough time, or I've forgotten how to make them. This time however, I found it really easy to whip these two up using the GORGEOUS November TSK - Camille!

All I needed was a little bit of playing with layering a couple of patterned papers from the kit, and a tag & a few Amy Tangerine Ephemera pieces and Enamel dots!

I found the easiest way to attach the layers was to staple them altogether. I've then added a border using a journalling pen, and attached to an already made card using double sided tape!

I love the textured Amy Tangerine Ephemera - of course with a touch of gold foil!

I thought the "ruler" was perfect for a teacher card too...

The alphas I used for "Thank You" are from the PLK Riley Kit which is currently 30% off at The Scrappery - don't forget this fabulous SALE which ends on the 31st Dec 2014
{make sure you use the code}

I hope I've inspired you to make YOUR Thank You Cards - it really does only take a minute or two - just grab a few bits from your stash and see how you go!

Happy Christmas/End of Year Creating!
