Traveler Layout

Hello! Hello! After a few very busy days, finally i am able to sit down and do some blogging. For today's post, I want to share this layout which I've created using some old products of Marion Smith Design, Petaloo and acrylic pieces by Clear Scraps.

In the close-up above, I've used some acrylic gears pieces from Clear Scraps to create layers and textures on this layout. To make it visible, I've used a permanent marker to outline it.

Petaloo's sugared flowers really add a cool texture effect to this layout. To add more elements, I've used some metal embellishment and lace trims to detail it.

I really love all the different elements and textures on this layout and hope you all give this a try in your next creation. See you all again soon!

Typewriter Bookmark

Hello friends! Today, I'm going to share a very simple project with you all. It's a bookmark which I've created using products by MSD. I've used several pieces of pattern papers and cardstock to create layers on it.

To decorate it, I've cut out some images from the pattern papers and attach them to the bookmark.

This is really a very fast project and could be a great gift to someone who loves to read. Thank you for dropping by and see you all again soon!

Table Organizer

Hello friends! Today, I'm going to share with you all a table organizer which I've created using some recycled boxes. I've created this table organizer as a gift.

I've chosen a few boxes of different sizes and shapes. I've cut them according to the height I want. Then, I separately decorate each box with some pattern papers. washi tapes, jewels and flowers. Use a glue gun to attach them together.

Below are more pictures on it.

And here are some close-ups on the decoration details.

This is such a fun and useful project and a perfect gift for someone who is messy when it comes to organizing. Hope you all feel inspired and have a great weekend!

Table Organizer using Recycled Boxes

Hi everyone! Happy 2019!!! For my first post of this year, I am going to share a project which can help you to organize. It is a table organizer created using some recycled boxes and products by MSD.

For the first part of the organizer, used a box and cut it into half. Stack one half on top of the other and tape them together like the picture above. For the second part of this organizer, used a recycled cereal box and attached it to the side of this first part.

Now, you have your organizer. Start decorating it using some pattern papers, flowers, chipboard, ribbon and anything that you want.

I've basically covered everything with pattern papers and for the edges, I've used some washi tapes.

For more decoration, I've added tons of textured flowers and chipboard. I've also used some ribbon and metal embellishment to create more details on it.

I've added a pocket at the side of the organizer to keep stuffs such as bookmarks, tickets and some smaller items.

Hope you all like today's project and start organizing your life for 2019. Thank you for dropping by and see you all again soon!

My Story Planner Album

Hello my dear friends! It has been a while since my last album project. For today's post, I would like to share this acrylic album with you all. I've used Clear Scraps "build it your way" series of album to create this album.  Besides that, I've also used a chipboard "My Story" expression from Clear Scraps on the cover of this album too.

Below are some pictures on the inside pages of this album.

I've used chipboard pages for each page and in between them, I've used some acrylic tab divider pages.

To decorate each acrylic divider page, I've used some masks/stencils by Clear Scraps with acrylic paint. To detail it, I've used jewels and some cut outs from pattern papers.

I've covered each chipboard pages with pattern papers by MSD.

To add more journaling pages to this album, you can actually insert them easily to this album since it is a ring album. Love this feature. You can also add small mementos items such as tickets and tabs to it by adding a pocket page to it.

Hope you all like this project and see you all again soon!

Happy Birthday Exploding Box

Morning everyone! It's another Friday again and for today's blog post, I would like to share with you all another project which I seldom create. It's a birthday album exploding box. This exploding box is a birthday gift as well as an album which consists of pictures taken during the birthday party.

To create this box, I've used pattern papers by MSD and to decorate it, I've used some ribbons and sprayed paper flowers. To add some elegant effect to it, I've used Clear Scraps acrylic butterfly and tag.

To add colors to the butterfly, I've used alcohol ink and later dab some glitter paste to it. To add more sparkle to it, I've used jewels to decorate around the top of the box cover.

Inside the box, I've decorate the middle of it using paper doily and more flowers. There are three layers of flaps on each side of the box.

Each page is decorated either with a photograph, quote, sentiment or space for journaling. I've added acrylic frames on some of the pages too.

This is a great gift. It can just be a gift box with sentiment or as an album to document some memories from an event or a trip. Try it and see you all again soon!

Journey Bookmark with tutorial

The weather in Malaysia now is getting so hot and it makes me want to hide in my craft room and continue crafting. Bookmarks are great little crafting projects that would help me burn some time and will be useful.

Above is a bookmark which I've created using Marion Smith Designs pattern papers. To make the bookmark more durable, I've added a piece of transparency on top of it.

Here are some closer look.

And here are the steps in creating this bookmark.

1) Cut out a piece of dark brown cardstock measuring 6" x 2.25". (You can use any cardstock)
2) Cut out a piece of black printed pattern paper measuring 5.5" x 2". (I used Marion Smith Designs Timekeeper collection) Attach it on top of the cardstock piece and stitch around it.
3) Cut out another piece from the beige pattern paper measuring 3.5" x 1.75". (My pattern paper is also from the Timekeeper collection) Attach it on top of the piece in step (2) and stitch on its top and bottom edges.
4) Cut the helmet image from the same Timekeeper collection and adhere it on top of the piece in step (3).
5) Cut out two page tabs and attach it as in the picture above.
6) Trace the bookmark onto a piece of transparency and cut it out. Use four small brads to attach the transparency to the bookmark.
7) Lastly, punch a hole on the bookmark and add a brad, twine and a charm to it.

Hope you all like today's little tutorial. It is a great relaxing project without needing much thinking. Have a great day!
