A challenge indeed... especially it comes to flower, I refrained from using the usual silhouette flower stamps from Stamper Anonymous and decided to choose via patterned paper. I chose to work with Echo Park and a little October Afternoon and of course using that frames 12x12 is one of the biggest challenge. So, this is my take on Tiffany's challenge #160. And here's the outcome with the combination with the criteria below :
*
A mixture of colored and black and white or sepia photos.
* Flowers(can be on the paper, embellishments, stickers or the photos themselves)
* Buttons
* Hand written journaling
Drop by and join us for the challenge, which would end this Thrusday 2May. Come join us at Let's Scrap for some serious fun!

Here's my take for CSI case#68. A photo of #1 which I have always loved, this was taken when he's not even one year old! Now he's already almost 6! He's growing up too fast, like a fast train!!!
Evidences are as follows : clouds, circles, polka, stripes, small brads, stitching (faux on the cloud) with pen work. My testimony choices are choose a prompt from here that contains either a 3 or a 5 in the number & Inspiration Words: wise, whimsy, up--use these as inspiration for your journaling, not just as a title. My journal derives from prompt 35 - a book that you feel should be required reading for everyone? Write an essay persuading your audience to read this book. "The little prince had very different ideas about serious things from those of the grown-ups" & "Only children know what they are looking for". The little man silhouette is his inner voice. Representation by
the train on the washi with nuts and bolts prob mean he's driving me
nuts and up the walls for the time being, until one day I learn understand him better. I journalled a little, not an essay. Nonetheless that should mean a whole lot.

This layout is for Let's Scrap DT call. Here are some really old photos of blooms that I took in Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne. I found them through some old stack photos which I didn't put in my photo albums, so I thought I might as well use them to scrap. I kept the background busy with stencils and topped it up with the clean diecuts and title work.

Here's my take on CSI case #67. I have on the layout all 5 colors. The evidences for this challenge that I have on my layout are : punctuation as accents, stars, accents from the picture--robot, car, plane,bicycle, clouds, use pen and outline elements with pen. My testimony is based on handwrite your journaling, write a random collection of facts about your topics and Inspiration Words: think, chaos, question-- use these as inspiration for journaling, not just as a title. As #1 would say Think? when he hits a roadblock. I would say, Moments of creativity, moments of frustrations with your robots and little fingers that sometimes don't work together. You turned angry and upset. Most of the time with tears. I wish you'd be more patient, think during chaotic episodes which you encounter with your toys and ask how. It's okay, no one is perfect
Noteables : All products from October Afternoon, American crafts jute, Sharpies
The challenge this round at Let's Scrap is hosted by Eniko. Her challenge basically is do something that's not your usual style. I dug up a photo from CNY 2 years go, taken with my mum and the boys. My take this round is ephemera style. There is actually minimal inking on this page, the papers were already prettily inked as they were, except for the biggest die cut piece, I had used baby wipes to distress the edges and then inked with walnut stain. The rest was mixed and match and layered over the page. Do join us for this challenge at Let's Scrap and remember to tag sketch that you use for this challenge!
Noteables : 12x12 Glitz Scarlett Stripe, Graphic45 die cuts, Distress ink walnut Stain, Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen, Maya Road alpha chipboard, emblishments from Beadspin, Let's Scrap card sketch 2-2-12
This week theme at 365cards - "Fractured". Wonder what is it? Simple, you need to include a partial image (no more than half) of a stamp on you card. Here's something clean and simple. The stamp work is actually the Unity stamp of Xmas tree on the background. Can you spot one of the stamped image is not more than half the stamp? This is a quick card with the strip of MT washi tape and OA rubons. These work like wonders! Do take time and join in the challenge at 365cards!

Here's my take on this week's CSI case #66. The colors reminded me of Chloe, our first black cocker spaniel who owns a bright red leash and collar. Here's a little tribute page for her. My evidences include arrow, flair, check pattern, bow, hearts and drawing/doodling. Testimony includes document something about a pet and handwrite your journaling, using inspiration Words: manic, point, owner-- use these as inspiration for your journaling, not just as a title

Here are some busy textures from the fresh produce! Yup, more photos from Queens Market! I still have some photos and it does seems like there'll be market layouts through this few weeks! Here's my take on Skissedilla Sketch204. I had started off with misting on the white cardstock. The cardstock kind of warp after heating with heat gun so I placed it under stack of books to make it flatter before heading on for lots of ink blending and stamping work tonight. I am very happy with the outcome!

Here's my take of this week's CSI case #65 . Here's a photo of #1 from a year ago, with his Lego Duplo build up. We did this on a rainy day and that's how the title came about. I helped this guy with this built up, specifically taking his instructions. So there you are, this is his idea of a carpark and playground for his little figurines friends. I have these as evidence : Feather, White Space, Crown, Bird. My testimony : Spread your journaling across three spots (Artist - colorful free play for his creativity, the sentiment next to the photo - to depict the meaning of creativity and another one near the title - It is a fact meddling with Lego that he still likes best. Best Moments of his Day is likely to include playing with Lego), Journaling that I have incorporated in this layout is all about #1, as is inspired by Reality personality poem
I started off with misting on the 12x12 with chervon stencil, then added some on the punched out clouds and quickly tamed it with water mist for the rain effect. After heating and drying the inks, I did a few layers of stamping around the page with different stamps. Glad that the Stampers Anonymous sentiments work for this layout.
Noteables : Bazzill 12x12 Textured White, Studio Calico Chervon stencil, Dylusions London Blue/Postboxed Red/Cut Grass/Fresh Lime, Distress ink Barn Door, Hero Arts Mid Tone Butter Bar, Versafine Mustard/Sapphire Blue/Onyx Black, Stamps from Technique Tuesdays/Stampers Anonymous/Studio Calico/Simon Says Stamps/Savvy Stamps City Scape, Lily Bee Design alpha stickers, Fiskars medium cloud punch
