Thank-you Cathy!

In the mail this week was a package from my lovely friend Cathy from Highland Quilter. I couldn't imagine what she'd be sending me and what a great surprise it was to find she's my Stitching Angel!

(This picture was bloglifted from Cathy's blog as I'm cameraless at the moment.)

The fabrics are gorgeous and her needlework is perfect. She kept her secret very well! Thank-you so much Cathy, I was very lucky to have you as my angel, I always love your work!

I promise next post I'll show you the goodies Valerie gave me for belated birthday and xmas but I couldn't wait until then I had to open them in front of her!

Close Ups

Simone asked for a picture of the inside of this
the lovely gift I received from my Stitcher's Angel Lieve Huys .so here it is

It's shown here with the stitchery inside. A great way to keep those "Works in Progress".

I also want to show you a close up of Stina's beautiful stitching on the PIF she sent me, her poor hand must've been aching after all this work. I'm still smiling from ear-to-ear, blessed to receive such lovely gifts.

It must be Christmas!

Well today it feels like it!

As DS was heading off toschool he came back in the house with two parcels, to his disappointment they were both for me!! I felt like a little kid all over again.

The first parcel is from my Stitchers Angel, the beautiful Lieve Huys (No Blog) who owns a quilt shop in Belgium

Oops need to unwrap it....
Just look at these beautiful goodies a scissor keep with a little pair of scissors (from French magazine "Quilt Country"), a pincushion (from May Britt's blog), a lovely stitchery and stranded cottons and a gorgeous roll to put my work in!! I've always wanted one of these rolls!! I know Lieve has read my blog because she knows about my addiction to pincushions!

Lieve, you have truly spoilt me, you are one generous angel , thank-you so much I'll treasure it forever!

The second is my PIF from wonderful Stina. I know she's had a sore hand and I'm just amazed at how beautiful her work is. Look at this lovely wallhanging I should've ironed out the creases before I took a photo but I couldn't wait, just had to show it to you all....

it's beautiful Stina, Thank-you so much!! By the way I ate the chockies and they were scrummy!!

Thank-you ladies you made my day, I'll be smiling from ear to ear all day:-)

I better make a start on my PIFS for Ann J, Karol-Ann & Trashalou!!

Stitcher's Angel Gift is on it's way!

My pressies for the Stitcher's Angel Swap are winging their way to some part of the globe, I wonder if it'll be you? Can't wait for my Stitcher to find out it's me, very exciting. Big Thank-you to Helen for co-ordinating this swap and arranging for the talented designers to provide us with such lovely projects. How many did you make? I made 3 but have plans to make them all.

Need at least 10 more hours in the day....

.....at least so I can finish more projects. Last night I finished Lynette Anderson's Scissor Keep "Here's Kitty", I'm not so happy with my herringbone stitch though, it's not very neat, I need more practice.

I've also completed the stitchery for May Britt's little bag and pieced together the last 6 angels for my Angel's Story quilt, all I need now it time! There's also gifts to make for Chookyblue's SSCS 2008 + finish off a couple my Stitcher's Angel projects for my secret partner. Hmmm must be time for another clue, she loves to cook!

Anyway enough wasting time on this computer back to needle and thread!

Stitcher's Angel Swap is underway!

Helen has posted out all the swap partners, my first clue to you all is that I've never had swap go to this country before. If you're not taking part in the swap you can still download the projects and make them for yourself. The first project is from Helen and it's a gorgeous couch companion, can't wait to start seeing photos all over blogland with everyone's colour choices for this. My second clue is one of the colours she likes is blue. Sorry to tease but I figure over the next few weeks I'll post little clues as to who my partner is.

Big thank-you to Helen for organising this swap and all the wonderful designers!
