It's Your Day Workshop Cog Cards

It's Your Day Workshop Cog Cards

Welcome to my DT share with you all today.
It's Your Day Workshop Cog Cards.

This month has gone past so quickly but I also look forward to the first week of August
as I get to attend the WA Craft Show and share the stand with Sophie, Andrew and the very talented Rikki G.
I also get to take home some new goodies and play.

I have spent the last week recouping from a cold and just taking some time for myself.

So here are my set of 3 cards I created with some of the new chipboard from Scrapmatts.

Papers used are from the new Kaisercraft Workshop paper pad.
I have coloured the chipboard with the gorgeous new metallic waxes from Finnabair.
I have inked some of the chipboard with Versa Pinecone.

Love Blooms Here in the New Year!!!

Love Blooms Here in the New Year.

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2019.

I hope your new year has started off with lots of creative juices flowing.
Today I wish to share with you 2 layouts I have created with some beautiful Scrapmatts chipboard.
The first layout I have created is Love Blooms Here.
I have used the gorgeous Stargazer papers from Kaisercraft.

To create the layers I have ripped and torn the papers and used the very fine vines from the
Ornate Frames chipboard.
To colour the chippy I have used the Wink of Stella Black glitter pen.
The chipboard title is one of Scrapmatts new word titles. How cute is it?

Here is the products used on this layout

**********************************************

Now for my second layout.

This layout was based on a sketch from Dusty Attic.

This layout features logs of gears and cogs from Scrapmatts.
To colour them I used a combination of inks and rust paste.
Papers are from Stamperia called Clockwise.
Embellishments are from Kaisercraft factory 42 collection, which complimented these papers perfectly.

Below is the chipboard used on this layout.

CB1072

I cut these pieces up to give me more gears.

With this piece I have ripped it up to create the border down the sides.

Not Just For the Boyz !!!

Not Just For The Boyz

Good Morning
Welcome to my November Blog Post for Scrapmatts
Not just for the Boyz

Just last weekend I attended a fabulous retreat in Bruce Rock (Western Australia) where I was able to find my mojo and got a lot of layouts completed.

The layout below features lots of chipboard from Scrapmatts.
The photo was taken of my daughter enjoying the ATV's in Bali.
Who said its just for boyz??

For this layout I have used the Edge of Town Collection from Scrapberry's.
The collectables are from the factory 42 collection from Kaisercraft.
It has a great grunge feel to it. So I had to pull out the cogs and barbed wire.

To create the background I used 2 stencils.
I have used a blending tool with black gesso to create texture.
I used white gesso to create the flicks on the page.

Title word is from

This is my second layout.
I have used the same paper collection and added Factory 42 collectables.
The cogs and barb wire are from the leftover chipboard.
To create the colour on the cogs, I used Finnabair Rust Paste - Camouflage.
To colour the barb wire I used the Uniquely Creative Black Glitter Pen.

To add some texture and depth, I also added some squares which I have coloured with the Black Glitter pen.

"Do I Look Like Him?"

 Do I Look Like Him?

Wow it's August already!!!
This month has been a treat. I was able to spend a fantastic weekend with the beautiful Sofie and Andrew at the Craft Fair in Perth on the weekend of 3rd - 5th August.

I was able to spend time with the very talented Rikki and teach some card classes.

So this month I have a layout to share with you featuring Scrapmatts amazing chipboard.

For this layout I have used the Denim and Friends papers from Maja.
The photo is of my husband and his father. His dad had a stroke back in March and my husband hadn't seen him in 15yrs. So I hadn't met him or seen him before. So recently he has reconciled with his dad and we have spent some time with him. I had always thought he looked like his mum, man was I mistaken!!! He is definitely a chip off the old block!!!

November creating with Helen - A Baby Boy's layout and a Christmas card/box

Hello and welcome back to Scrapmatts.
It's Helen with you today.

First I'm sharing a layout featuring a photo of one of my Grandsons
who is now almost seven.  The years have flown by.
To begin, I used a Scrapmatts brick stencil on the back ground - ST9024 A5
I've used a Crate Paper collection, "Cool kid"
The chipboard circle was painted with Tim Holtz Ozide, "Fossilized amber"
CB 5140 String Circles 04
The title is from CB6113 Scrap Words 32
The Gears were already painted black, CB1072

The sketch which inspired my page is by Laura Whitaker - thank you Laura.

Next up is a Christmas easel card with a drawer, which holds a few chocolates.
I think it would make a lovely Teacher's gift at the end of the year.
The chipboard garland was painted with Twinkling H2O's
CB5164 Holly 05
The chipboard pieces were embossed in gold, they are:-
CB6111 Assorted Words 27
CB6081 Christmas Stars 02
CB1229 Chains 02
I used Nuvo Mousse through a stencil to create additional stars

Did you know you can order direct from Scrapmatts?

Hot off the Factory Press...A rusty old book!!!!

Hi There
Jodie with you today sharing my DT project for the month.
This item is Hot off the Factory Press and soon to be released by Scrapmatts.

I had the great pleasure of being on the Scrapmatts stall at the Craft show in Perth with Andrew, Paul, Rikki and Rhonda. We had a fabulous time and I was given this little treasure to play with.
This gorgeous chipboard book.

Inspired by the new paper range from Kaisercraft Factory 42, I decided that I would like to grunge mine up and make it industrial looking using lots of cog chipboard and some metal embellishments.

Once I had covered the book with the Factory 42 papers, I wanted to add some texture, so I used the gears stencil with some ranger texture paste transparent gloss.

For the spine of the book, I used the cog boarder. Now this was tricky, as I wanted it to bend with the spine, so I used a little water to help mould it to the spine and then stuck it with some super glue.

To cover the book I used a combination of chipboard, collectables and metal embellishments. There really is no process to this for me, I just place it down and stick. I find that when I do it like this, with no plan, it gives the best results.

Back Cover

This is the finished project. Front, Back and Inside of the Book. I am not sure what I am going to use it for yet, so I just covered the inside with the papers.

To colour the chipboard and embellishments, I have used the patina rust paste collection from Finnabair, along with the rust paste in brown, gold and red. I just love the rusty grunge look they achieve.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest project and I hope that it inspires you to find your grunge.
