A Valentine Layout

I was inspired by this layout in the February issue of Creating Keepsakes and couldn't wait to scrapbook my Valentine photo using it.

The supplies used from CTMH are: Textured White Daisy Cardstock, Tulip cardstock, Silhouette Paper Pack, Just Blooms Spring Blossoms, Heart Dimensional Elements, Sparkles, "February Word Puzzle(Retired)", and Tulip Ink. To create this layout I cut a piece of White Daisy Textured cardstock in half. Then I punched a heart shape on one of the halves using a "Nestabilities" die cut. I attached this piece to the "Tulip" colored cardstock with foam squares and filled it with blossoms and buttons. For the black flowers underneath, I punched out a piece of "Silhouette" paper with a flower shaped punch. The Dimensional Element hearts are sponged with Tulip ink. The stamped image around the heart is from the February Word Puzzle. The nice thing about acrylix stamps is that they bend easily. I took a straight piece and bent it into a half circle.

Ketto's Dolly

I have been lacking in my card making lately and have needed a reason to make cards. I used to be able to make a card a day, but for some reason my mojo is lacking. I was reading "Nienie's" blog today, as I do every day and felt compassion for her. I posted her story a few months back. She is the beautiful young woman who was in a plane crash with her husband and was badly burned. I have her blog listed down on the right side of my blog. Her faith is such an inspiration to me. And, I admire her very much. Well, since I was feeling for her, I decided to make her a card and send it with a gift. I used today's "Bellarific Friday" Challenge from Stampingbella. The stamp used is from Stampingbella and is called "Ketto's Dolly". The paper used is "Silhouette" from Close to My Heart.
