The Perfect Day - Layout created for The Dusty Attic Chipboard

A very Happy New Year to you all, I hope it is going to be a fabulous one and that you had a fantastic Christmas spend with family and friends.

I was very lucky indeed to have been invited back for another term on this fabulous team so without further ado I would like to share with you a beach layout today seeing we are in the middle of Summer here in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Perfect Day

I simply love all the Dusty Attic Stencils, this birds stencil is no exception and I added it to my Colour Blast background paper with some crackle paste. While that was air drying I added some distress embossing powder to my fish net, sentiment and shells using two different colours. I started playing around with my design by arranging all my chipboard pieces around my photo. I then added some gorgeous 49 and Market flowers. Once I was happy with my design I glued it all down using my trusty hot glue gun. To finish it all off I added some burlap which I cut into squares and rolled so I could tuck them amongst my flowers with some string as well. Love how it makes the layout look rather rustic. Last but not least I added three of the page pebbles which I left in their original raw state.

Beauty layout designed for Dusty Attic Chipboard

Good Morning Dusty Fans and welcome to my last blog post for 2019. Can you believe it is nearly Christmas? I don't know where this year has gone. Today I am sharing a layout created based on this month's stunning mood board and used lots of 49 and Market goodies as well as several gorgeous Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces, I particularly love that chandelier and frame.

I mainly picked the purple and aqua colours from the mood board with a touch of brown or in my case gold by simply adding some opal magic - violet to all my chosen chipboard pieces. When you add it to plain chipboard it really brings out the gold hues with a touch of violet, depending on the light. Once painted I set all my chipboard pieces aside to start working on my design by choosing my background paper and flowers, all of course from 49 and Market. I played around with my design for a while, sometimes this take longer then a while but this layout came together fairly quick. I added some white gesso to some of the flowers to soften the colours a bit and finished it by adding some artstones.

Some kind of Wonderful layout designed for Dusty Attic Chipboard

Hey there Dusty Fans and welcome to my very first blog post as a Dusty Girl. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to be here, I feel like a very lucky girl. Thanks heaps Jennifer Hedger for inviting me on to your wonderful team, I will try my very best to do you proud.

Without further ado here is my layout. I used 6 different Dusty Attic Chipboard designs which you will find listed below.
Once I had picked a photo I wanted to scrap I began choosing my chipboard pieces. Of course I also used my favourite 49 and Market paper and flowers.

I started with the gorgeous Floral Frame (in this instance I used the smaller one) and added some Rust effect paste in Grey. It has got some lovely texture to it which was the effect I was after. The same was done to the Wild grass but this time I used the Green-Grey for a bit of contrast. I then moved on to the broken Bricks to which I added a layer of black gesso and once dried I sanded it back slightly for a rougher look.  Last but not least just a bit of white gesso was painted onto the Mini Caption (title). I finished the frame and wild grass with a touch of yellow rust paste. I left the chipboard blooms in its original state and just added some pearls to the centre. I finished the layout of by adding a number of Wordpl@y Words, I have to say I have fallen in love with these, they are brilliant.
