Layout created for the Dusty Attic Chipboard February Mood board

Welcome to the blog Dusty Fans, Hetty with you to share my take on this month's beautiful mood board. I just love the cool crisp colours in this palette with a touch of warmth to balance things out and get the creative juices flowing!

I didn't give this layout a title, not sure why but in the end I just didn't think it needed one so just left it be. I covered my chosen pieces of Dusty Attic Chipboard in two different colours of distress embossing powder. Next I randomly stamped some teal ink with a diamond stamp on my 49 and Market background paper. I then layered my chipboard pieces along with my photo onto the background. Underneath my photo I added some cheese cloth and coconut fibre to add some texture. The flowers I made using several different flower dies and some Kaisercraft silk foam and layered them on top of all my chipboard pieces.

A Boy and his Dog - layout created for the Dusty Attic Chipboard

Hello there Dusty Fans, so glad you could make it to another blog post, Hetty with you today!
Jennifer has designed the most amazing pet chipboard and in this particular instance it was perfect for my next project below. Don't you just love that gorgeous impact title?

A Boy and his Dog

I used some Colour Blast paper for my background and covered all the chipboard pieces bar the title in silver embossing powder. Once I picked the position for my photo I arranged all the chipboard pieces until I was happy with the design. Next I added some gingernut paint to the title chippie and added. Last but not least I added all my 49 and Market flowers finished off with some prills.

That is all for now, thanks so much for dropping in.
Until next time.....

You make me Smile - Mood board inspiration for the Dusty Attic Chipboard

Hey there Dusty Fans, welcome back to the blog for some more mood board inspiration. Mood boards are such a great way to get your creative juices flowing, sometimes I know exactly what I am going to create, other times I have got to think outside the box. This month I concentrated on the yellow, pink and grey/silver.

You make me Smile

I used some gorgeous Colour Blast paper for the background and you will find all the Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces I used below with link back to the store. I covered all my chipboard pieces with grey paint also from Dusty Attic and simply sponged it on it adds a bit of a grunge look. I cut down the Triangle panel a bit and added my photo on top of it with a piece of cardboard for dimension and placed it on my background paper. I then started playing around with my design by placing all the other chipboard pieces around my photo. I also made some flowers from white mulberry paper and dies and sprayed them with some Kaisercraft spray ink to match the colours of my layout. The leaves were die cut from white cardstock and simply coloured with some distress ink. Once I was happy with y design I stuck it all down with my trusty glue gun using lots of layering.

Breathe - layout created for Kaisercraft

PRODUCTS USED:
PAPERS: P2883 Pink Plaster | P2885 Ombre | P2889 Chalky | SK823 Sticker Book |
CT 977 Collectables |
Hello Kaiser Fans and welcome to my blog post. Today I would like to share with you the stunning Lily and Moss collection, love the colour combination, the prints on the papers, especially the marble effect on the Whirl paper as well as the gorgeous big leaves on the reverse of Ombre. The stamp set matching this collection is gorgeous as well, I did a few cards using these stamps which I will share with you some other time.
I used Ombre for my background paper and simply tore some Chalky paper to layer on top at the top and bottom of my background. After that I set out to cut some tiles from the Pink Plaster paper and combined with some tiles from the Collectables I layered them behind my photo. Next I started working on my design, adding both Collectables as well as images from the Sticker Book. It really is a stunning collection.
You will be able to find full instructions for this layout here.
That is it for me today, happy crafting.
Until next time…

The Perfect Day - Layout created for The Dusty Attic Chipboard

A very Happy New Year to you all, I hope it is going to be a fabulous one and that you had a fantastic Christmas spend with family and friends.

I was very lucky indeed to have been invited back for another term on this fabulous team so without further ado I would like to share with you a beach layout today seeing we are in the middle of Summer here in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Perfect Day

I simply love all the Dusty Attic Stencils, this birds stencil is no exception and I added it to my Colour Blast background paper with some crackle paste. While that was air drying I added some distress embossing powder to my fish net, sentiment and shells using two different colours. I started playing around with my design by arranging all my chipboard pieces around my photo. I then added some gorgeous 49 and Market flowers. Once I was happy with my design I glued it all down using my trusty hot glue gun. To finish it all off I added some burlap which I cut into squares and rolled so I could tuck them amongst my flowers with some string as well. Love how it makes the layout look rather rustic. Last but not least I added three of the page pebbles which I left in their original raw state.
