Reverse Confetti Release Day!

It’s a new year, and what could be better than to start it off with a brand new shiny release from REVERSE CONFETTI?!

Love is definitely in the air with the 6 new stamp sets (including our new QuirkyCuties line) and 3 new Confetti Cuts Dies.
We invite you to hop along with the Confetti Crew, Challenge Crew, and a few other friends today as we share our cards and projects using the new products.
We think you’ll fall in love over and over with this release!

*****

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Heather Pulvirenti’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets!

Isn't Freida Fox the cutest...yes she's a girl in the set but I have made "her" a "boy" for this project lol! So I'm naming him FRED FOX for my project today bwahahaha! This stamp set is from Reverse Confetti's new line of "Quirky Cuties" that are being released today...hop over to the store to check them ALL out!  I am looking ahead towards Valentine's Day so I decided to make a fun V-Day card boy style.  My last project with this set HERE was girly themed so I decided to switch it up a bit.

The papers are a mix of Docrafts Papermania (b&w) and Bazzill Basics (red). I used a few of my Spellbinders dies to make the pinking circle element and the hearts...and a CB folder to emboss the white cardstock.  The arrow I made myself because I lack any arrow dies (need the Confetti die here) and stamped the "Hey Foxy!" in white palette ink on it.  HINT: she/he would be cute flocked.

So YES Freida Fox can be turned into Fred Fox heehee...love to make my stamps versatile in many ways so by cropping off the bottom of "her" it eliminated the dress.  I paperpieced his sweater and scarf to match the papers I used.  TIP: always shade your paper pieces when you have a colored image or else the paper piecing looks flat next to your lovely shaded and colored image. I shaded mine with C7 & C5 to add in some dimension.  And I colored the image with Copics...the C Grays and then added Diamond Glaze to his "optional" glasses you can add on.  I also decided to cut him out and pop him up with dimensionals on my embossed circle...I love lots of layers and textures on my cards!

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper:  Docrafts PaperMania and Bazzill Basics
Copics, Diamond Glaze, button, bakers twine
Stickles, Zutter Distress Tool, Spellbinders dies, Scor-Tape
Cuttlebug folder, dimensionals, heart rhinestones

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration!

Now it’s time to hop on over to Stacey Schafer's blog
If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…
January’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY is open for you to play along.
AND, be on the lookout for a NEW COLOR challenge we will be introducing on January 16th and another way to win!

Celebrate the creative side of you!

Hi There!

Hi everyone!  Just touching base with you all....I have not been well which has held me back from any coloring or crafting lately.  Although I hope to color tomorrow and have a project up on Wed for you...crossing my fingers & toes...thanks for hanging in there with me.

I thought I'd share a few things with you though to catch up, in case you don't follow my other blog here OR on facebook.  Sick or not I still try to squeeze every moment, every drop of life that I can out of each day...we get this great gift called LIFE so you can't let it waste away.  I try not to even on days I feel as though I may be dying...because I never know if its the last day...but I sure want to enjoy it while I can.

This is my daughter's Senior Year so we just had her last Homecoming Dance this past month .  I'm so thankful that she prefers classy and pretty styles over..well...you know the "other" trampy kind LOL. But she is picky so I usually order 4-5 dresses online that we both pick out and this one made the cut...we both agreed it was pretty, appropriate and looked lovely on her.

The girls did their own hair and makeup this year...I think they did a lovely job!

Alexa and her BFF Grace....they're a little goofy...as it should be ;)
No dates...most went in groups...they prefer to have fun with friends instead of the stress
of being with someone...gotta love that!!

Always a Daddy's girl!

3 Generations...me, Alexa & my mom

My son didn't go this year as his friends and him decided that it was more fun AFTER the dance.  Last year they all went to Buffalo Wild Wing so this year they ALL came here instead for yummies, Xbox wars and lordy knows what else was going on down in that basement with all of them LOL.  So they had a good time. It was his free pass...I told him he HAD to go next year ;)

***************

If you don't follow me on my other blog...well you can if you'd like HERE...but I share all kinds of projects and recipes over there as well.  This is my current post if you'd like to hop over and see...making your own Beautiful Mercury Glass items...easy & inexpensive.

Monster-riffic!!

Hello everyone & a Happy Wednesday to you all!  I have been busy tearing through the house doing projects and more lined up for next week.  Today I have the vet coming to give dogs their shots & yearly check-ups....we are lucky to have a vet that has mobile service so they come to the house and the dogs aren't spooked or upset too much.  Then I have my new family furniture being delivered...finally after 3 mos of waiting...I'm so excited to get it.  Our family room furniture is over 10 years old...its held up really well but its time for it to be retired.  Still hunting for a new chair to replace the older one, but have yet to find one that fits "my idea" LOL.  I'm going to put the couch and an almost-like-new Lazy Boy chair on Craigs List and see if I can sell it and get rid of it.

Next on my list is to paint my mudroom/laundry...its the ONLY room in my house that has never been painted is SCREAMING for color and and some fun decorations and organization.  I'm doing some batten-board on the longest wall with old hooks to hang stuff on.  I'm excited to start on that next week...and yes Suzanne is doing it ALL by herself ;)   Then we will get Riley's new bedroom downstairs done and painted and all set up.  So lots to do!

And this weekend is da-da-da-dum.....PROM...so lots going on this weekend too...no downtime for this gal!

**************************************
Monster-riffic!

I made this card for my hubby....he's been so great lately with stuff and I just love him to bitz..he really is my best friend and I'm so happy I got to marry him.  We have a fun quirky, banter, joking and loving relationship...and the sentiment "Do You Believe in Love at First Sight? Or Should I Walk By Again?"...is SOOOOO something I would say LMBO!  Cracks me up!  So this is my love card for him and I snuck it in his briefcase yesterday to find at work...just a small way to say I Love Ya and was thinking of you!  And these monsters from SCACD "Oddly Sweet Curiosities" and this cutie is "Loves Me?"  It just makes you smile doesn't it?  :)

Check out the NEW Art Anthology Colorations Mists at SCACD and all the NEW yummy paper pads too (that b/w Authentique is MINE)...mmmmm!

I used some fun papers from Echo Park "Paradise Beach" and kept the colors fun and bright...perfect for anyone including a guy!  I like the circle theme...I pulled in circles with buttons, polka-dot paper, and Swirls CB embossing folder.  The large orange circles are a cut file from Silhouette Cameo "Background Lace-Circle" and I cut them apart to add a few around the image.  Diamond Glaze on the monster cutie for shine and some Stickles on the scales and background for a sparkle factor :)

So hope this one made you smile or chuckle...hubby liked it, so I'm happy!  Enjoy your day!

Calorie Burners!!

Hi everyone & Happy Monday to you all!  I am recovering from my weekend in Baltimore at the OutLawz Retreat that I taught at….I had a blast and it was so much fun to meet so many of the girls.  We had lots of laughs, lots of good food and a few frosty drinks (hahaha…well I only had 1/2 of one cuz I’m good like that)…I lacked in sleep but it was so worth it.  And for all those that flew in from all over including Canada, I hope you have safe travels home and that you had a good time!  I’m running around like a mad woman today (I know, I know what else is new right)…I leave Wednesday morning for NY to go to my grandmothers house for 2 days (she’ll be 91 next month and still can outdo me with energy most days) then heading up to Montreal to teach for the weekend.  Let’s hope the border patrol is very “kind” to me on my way over…even though I KNOW I’m not a terrorist they sure make me feel like one.  It makes me SOOOO nervous that sweat drips off my scalp and I never sweat…and its all so silly but I love that the first 2 questions they always ask me are “Do you have a gun?” and “Do you have liquor in the car?” to which my smart-ass self says (cuz’ I can NEVER help myself) “Do I NEED to have that to go to Canada?” hahahahahhaha…like I’m gonna say YES, YES I do have a gun and a case of beer in the back…REALLY? LOL!  But I always get INTO Canada easier than I can get out of it….what’s up with that?  I mean I’m an American citizen and the Americans give me MORE crap about coming back into the States…ummm I do live here and have for 38 years…I’m pretty sure I am not cooking up terrorist/takeover plans while I’m in Montreal with fellow crafters LMBO!  So pray for me on Friday that all goes smoothly….you can envision Suzanne sweating at the border patrol and then trying to figure out the speed limit in kilometers so I don’t get my butt arrested while I’m on the other side LOL.  But I’m looking forward to the trip, it will be good to see my grandmother and my son is coming with me…he’ll stay in with her while I go teach…he loves it up there and I don’t worry about him so its all good.  We usually go in the summer but this year he will be in Redskins Football camp and the high school football starts July 29th and they have to be there everyday.  So it was either now or he wouldn’t be able to go and with my grandmother’s age I wanted him to get up there again…cuz’ you never know.  And I’ve always wanted to go to Montreal so that will be fun….my French is very rusty but I know some basics and I’ll have an interpreter in my classes to help out LOL.  So yep watch out Canada cuz I’m coming….and then again in August…..and then again in November hahahaha!

Feelin’ Sporty!!?

Today the Magnolia-licious DT has a fun sporty Blog Hop for you titled “Sports Day” and we all used sporty Magnolia stamps or stamps that could be sporty LOL! Make sure to visit the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog for details on the hop and how you can join in on the fun.  I decided to use an Edwin stamps…I always feel sorry for him as he can be a bit neglected in all our Magnolia fun LOL. So I created a fun-shaped Boy’s Tennis Card for the hop today!

I'm entering this into the following challenges as well:

This cutie is called “Tennis Edwin” and he’s from the sports themed “Winner Takes All Collection” which has such fabulous images in there…perfect for sporty themed projects…and you could match him up with cute Tennis Tilda!!  (he comes in mini size too here)  And YES I used my new Silhouette Cameo to cut the large tennis ball shape out (and the fun Tennis font/title was cut with it too).  I used a CB folder to emboss the tennis ball and give it some texture….I was going to cover it with lime-green flock but of course I have allllll the colors BUT that one LOL. (and yes I did order some…cuz you never know when you may need it right ahhahaha).  In the white cut-outs I added Stickles for sparkle…yeah even my boys cards must sparkle in some way Winking smile.  For the “Tennis” title I studded it with black pearls to bling it out a bit but in a more boyish-fun way and a few more at the top to bring some of the black up there as well.

Edwin got colored with Copics: C9,C7,C5,C3,C1,C00 / YG03,G20/ E11,E00,R20.  I added Diamond Glaze to his shoes and racket for some shine.  I cut the tennis ball out and popped it up with dimensionals on his racquet instead of next of him.  Such a sporty lil’ dude.  I played tennis all thru high school and loved it but sadly I haven’t played in a long while…I always mean to and then I just run outta time…boyo how does that happen ‘eh? LOL!

Ok so now you need to hop on over to Patti Jo’s Blog!!
She’s sure to have something fabulous to inspire you!!

A Rusty Ride!

Happy Monday my friends!  Whooo-hoooo did you all watch the Play-off games this weekend!  The Dean household was ON FIRE—SCREAMING—for TEeeeeebooooow of the Broncos.  We were yelling like a BUNCH of maniacs…welll guess we always are maniacs LOL!  We strongly, strongly DISLIKE the Steelers (hey we are Ravens & Redskins fans & Steelers are our biggest rivals ‘eh)!  So we enjoyed seeing the Steelers crying into their terrible towels…sorry I haddddd to go there hee hee!  That overtime pass and run down the field..whoooowheeee…we were at the table eating my homemade chili-n-biscuits and we were jumping and screaming all over the kitchen…then we STOPPED.  Cuz you know in the NFL you celebrate a touchdown…when you hear….there’s a flag on the field?! LOL!  But not this time baby….oh yeah that was a GOOD touchdown and I’m a TEBOW fan.  After all the negative commentary about him I was so rootin’ for him to have a great game & I wasn’t disappointed.  Looking forward to next weekend’s games---hopin’ the Ravens beat the Texas, and the Saints beat the 49ers.  Alexa and I are making these cute football strawberries (that I got from Pinterest), 7 Layer Dip and mini-pizzas for the occasion –so looking forward to it Smile

I also got down 10 of my 11 Christmas trees down & packed away and all cleaned up thanks to help from my hubby.  The house always feels so bare after its all gone for awhile..I miss the twinkle of lights and smells of the trees that’s for sure.  But our real trees needed to get out to the curb for recycling to pick up and they were starting to drop a ton of needles…never fun to clean up.  And I cleaned up my craftroom…I won’t even tell you what a disaster my room was…DISGUSTING!  I had so many boxes of stuff…craft stuff and some hadn’t been opened or organized.  I had been so busy the last 6 mos that nothing got put away and it got to be such a huge CHORE and I had NO time to dedicate to it.  So I took 4 hours to really clean it up & semi-organize it today and whooo I feel so much better going in there….it’s a relief actually and my mojo is re-energized.  I didn’t go overboard with organizing because when my room downstairs is ready I will just be moving and organizing it again…so I didn’t want to do the job twice…but I needed it to be cleaned out and organized enough that it made it easy for me to work and know where stuff was.  I was spending so much time looking for things that I was wasting too much time and I don’t have time to waste KWIM LOL!  But all in all I was happy with everything I accomplished this weekend and felt I got a lot done.  I also did some reading, some eating, some watching tv and spent time with my family.  We watched “I Don't Know How She Does It” and I swear at times it was like watching myself….yes..including the part where she’s skyping with the business guy but doesn’t know he’s watching & she’s adjusting her pantyhose & then falls into the chair..uh yeah…done dumb stuff like that before.  Hee hee heck I do dumb stuff like that all the time!  And I have a surprise trip this week…can’t say where I’m going…but I’ll tell you after I get back…LOL…its top secret again!  I’m sure there will be some kind of shenanigans and I’m sure I’ll tell you all about it…so stay tuned for my first trip of 2012 LMBO!

NewsBitz:

-Thanks to all the participants for the Holiday CMC Challenge!  All the winners are posted up on the site so go see if you won!  We raised $500 (I’m topping it off to reach a full $500) for our Reading & Literacy Charity and I know that will buy them a bunch of books for the children which makes me happy. If you’d like to donate “just because” you can do that through the end of January directly HERE!  Thanks everyone!

Want a Rusty Ride!!?

Today I’m sharing a fun masculine project with you all.  I know so many of us struggle with male-influenced projects and I have to say I like the challenge of them.  I find working-outside-the-box fun and makes me energized to try new things.  This image is a digi stamp from Fred She Said called “Old Truck”.  I love this old truck…reminds me of pictures of my grandparents old Chevy truck from back in the day LOL.  And I used a technique on this truck that I teach in CMC Copic Class 5 to put rust on your colored images…a fun technique, not too hard but it just takes some time & patience.

The cardstock is a mix of SU & PTI, some scrap pattern paper and then I distressed all the edges with my Zutter Distress It Tool.  The rust cs was embossed with a clock-works embossing folder (see some cool grunge emboss folders here) and then inked to bring the background out a bit.  I wanted to make my own “gears” so I used my Spellbinder Pinking & Regular Circle Nesties to create gears.  I inked them, distressed them, added some silver stickles and added them to the card.  The corner elements are all brads…however I don’t like to punch many layers of cs…so I cut the ends of the brads off with my Tonic Scissors and add them with glue dots.  The sentiment is from PTI and then some twine to finish it all off.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

(sketch/boys--I flipped my sketch)

P1130585_edited-1

Adding rust to objects with your Copics is FUN!  I always encourage everyone to look at items around them or google pictures when coloring to see how color and light play—it helps with your coloring.  For me this was a really fun project to create and the technique is a fun one—one of my faves from Class 5.  I added Diamond Glaze to the windows, bumper, bolts on tires and headlights and then lightly sprinkled DecoArt Glamour Dust on the Diamond glaze while its wet…it suspends in the liquid for a cool effect.  Then I used a bit of Distressed Stickles (in haystack or something like that lol) on the gravel for some extra texture.

P1130595_edited-1

That’s it for me today…hope you like this project, this image is one of my faves from Class 5 and I was happy to put it on a card!  Great for any guy in your life!  Hope you have a fabulous day…I’ll be back on Wed with a Smash Book project!

Where In the World…?

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday to ya wherever in the world you may be!  So what are your thoughs on BLANKIES! LOL!  Do your kids have a favorite item that they’ve had since they were very small?  My two teens do although my son put his “Lovie” away last year—its in his nightstand but he doesn’t sleep with it anymore. (sniff sniff) He realized that he was a bit older and ready to put it away!---OR he realized that his friends might see and would rather die than suffer the pain of their torment about it!   HOWEVER, my 15.5 yr old daughter has her baby blanket still and we’ve been trying to pack it away as it’s a bit shabby…hobo looking shabby…barely holding together shabby! (see pic) I mean its not even pretty, just kinda scary and she travels with THAT--ewwww?  BUT she is resisting and after many attempts by my mom to fix it, it is now beyond repair LOL and the lady that made it for her is no longer alive sadly.

blankie

YES-that is Alexa peeking out of her holey blankie LOL!

Alexa still sleeps with it but that is not where the problem lies.  She carries it around the house with her and whenever she sits she likes to twirl/scrunch it in her hands which is why its come unraveled LOL.  Even when she’s in bed at night its being twirled.  Yes perhaps she has a bit of her ADD Mom in her system so shush--this post is not about me but her.   Now I’m all for habits that comfort you as long as they are safe BUTTTTTTTTTT….the blanket needs to be packed away before its nothing but a ball of yarn Winking smile Everyday I travel thru the house picking up pieces of yarn that have come off the blanket—drives me batty—although the cats love it--I mean I thought I could pass the point of cleaning up after her!  My daughter is a bit like Charlie Brown's friend PigPen--yes this is her nickname I kid you not (yeahhhh you remember PigPen-the kid with the dirtball flowing around him).  I told Alexa its time to pack it up so she can still have a piece of it for her memory box (and future kids).  What do you all think? LOL—she doesn’t want to give it up and I don’t crochet so I’m not making a new one KWIM.  And when I turned 5 I had to give my blankie to Santa (righhhhhtttt Mommmmmm) and it was traumatic for me--maybe this is why I still have Santa issues and put up 13 Christmas trees in hopes he'll bring my blankie back...hmmm (yep yep)!   I liked to rub the silk edges of my blankie on my nose (yeah yeah I did so what’s it to ya LOL).  BUT Alexa is 15 so it should be less traumatic and part of growing up, yes? OMGoodness this battle is ongoing so maybe Santa needs to take it on Christmas Eve hee hee…hmmmm…need to ponder on this me thinks!

PS—I got Pit tickets to see Eric Church and Brantley Gilbert in February and a backstage pass—whoot whooot, I’m stoked, loveeee them!  BUT GUESS WHAT?  YEP, LUKE BRYAN tix go on sale at 10 am today for fan club members (duh yeah I’m a member) and I’m so going to see him again. But shhhhhh don’t tell him, I don’t want him to think I’m a stalker…or something…hee hee!'
And oh, oh, oh---guess who followed me on TWITTER---OMGGGGGoshhhh I almost fell outta the chair yes I did.  None other than his hotness Chuck Wicks....oh yeah....oh yeah....I'm doing the happy chicken dance right now gals..yep I am!  Ohhhh I love himmmmmm and his songs and hissss music and hissss hotness hee hee!  Yes hubby thinks I'm a TOTAL LOON...oh wait....yes I am...hee hee hee!

Sneak Peeks for Gina K

P1130108_edited-1

Today kicks off the sneaky peekies for the fabulous NEW Gina K releases that were released last night!  You can purchase all the sets HERE—but if you hop along on the blog hop today and leave comments you will have the chance to win a GRAB BAG of Gina K Stamps (12 stamps in each bag—how cool)!!

I know masculine cards can be hard for some to make—even I find them difficult at times but I love a good challenge!  I’m the person who LIKES to go outside of the box (yeah you read my blog so you know that huh LOL).  So this card will actually be my Valentine’s Card for my hubby in 2012—I love this sentiment and its actually how I feel about my hubby (awwwww).  So I kept all my papers vintage and shabby, colors to creams, browns and soft blues. I used the fabulous set called “Make a “State”ment” designed by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K—love this set!

map1

I chose to use the stamp of the US for my focal image.  I stamped it onto my patterned paper (all papers by  BoBunny, inked edges and added stickles to the edges for some subtle sparkle cuz all my projects must have a “tad” of sparkle LOL.  The blue cs was embossed with a “clock” embossing folder and then inked.  Some twine, pearls and button finish it all off.  All my colored cardstock used on both of my projects is from Gina K’s “Luxury Line” here---nice weight and great for layering!

P1130118_edited-1

The second card today I combined two new sets “Stately Flowers” AND “Make a State-ment”they pair beautifully together!  I used some older K&Co papers because I wanted my Texas Bluebonnet stamp to be…well…blue LOL!  The trims were done with a MS border punch.  Then I created a fun sentiment banner that I bent softly and capped with a button.

P1130112_edited-1

Then I stamped that same US Stamp in blue, added the cute thumbtack stamp to the state of Texas and stickled the whole state LOL!  Nope I’m not from Texas but I have spent a lot of time there and I love it!  I’ll be in Texas in February to teach my classes too and cannot wait!

Ok that’s all from me today BUT make sure to keep hopping along today for a chance to win a great grab bag of prizes from Gina K!

Anchors Away!

Hi everyone--hope your week is going great for ya!  Still enjoying the wonderful, warm weather--hope to get outside for a jog today.  Gotta get my bum in gear and get back into working out regularly and eating right.  While I was getting these businesses/websites up off the ground I really let everything sllllllllllllide, ya know!  Well summer means less clothes so I gotta get the flab off, hee hee, especially before I leave for our summer vacation at the end of June.  We've rented a house for 2 weeks at Hilton Head again this year--I'm counting down the days and ready for some summer sun and fun!  Are you all ready for summer--if so what plans do YOU have for summertime?!!

In that same breath, I've got some summer fun projects to share with you!

PS--winner of my Blog Candy to be announced tomorrow, sorry I forgot, lol!

*****************************************************
Anchors Away, 2 Ways!!

I've had these couple of fun Magnolia stamps from Magnolia-licious for awhile now & they were still in their packaging (gasp)!  I had to pull them out & get them inky cuz' they're sooo cute!  This one is called "Boat Tilda" and she's sittin' on a Magnolia pier fence although I couldn't find it at the store (but I'm sure if you email Diana she can get some in)--I believe it's from the Lazy Summer Days Collection as well.

I wanted to create a patriotic summertime feel so I pulled out some of my scrap paper that I had (not sure who by?) and cut it into strips and attached it to my white cardstock.  Ran my white cs thru the Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" folder for some extra texture.  The star punches are from SU and then I attached some little glass stars I had in my stash.  That fun sentiment (perfect 'eh) is from the PTI set "Out to Sea"--great set to have I tell ya!  Fun for any special lil' sailor in your life!

The images are colored with Copics and then I've added some Diamond Glaze onto the lifesaver floatie and her lil' white shoes for some shine.  The sea and her shirt got some stardust stickles for some bling!

So I had so much fun with the first, I decided to just use the background stamp for a separate card!  This time I didn't use any dp, just the same colored cs for this card.  The navy cs got embossed with a CB folder from the "asian collection" folders which I LOVE!  The I added some twine, buttons and SU corner punches to create some nautical fun (the white dots are with my Sharpie Poster Paint pen)!  The sentiment is from the same PTI set that I used above.  This card would be great for anyone in your life--equally feminine & masculine!

That's all for me today--see ya back here tomorrow!

Monkey'n Around!!

Hello Everyone & Welcome to Suzanne's Whacko World!!  I tell ya I am LOSING it lately--it must be all this snow (and yes we're supposed to get over 20+ inches starting Friday)--I think I need a vacay to a tropical island for 2 weeks!  I have lost sooo many things this week that I'm starting to question my brain power, LOL!  I lost my camera battery charger, can't find it anywhere & yes my camera is dead so I've had to borrow my son's and it cost me $25 to replace the charger--ugh!  Then I lost my Scor-Pal tool so I ordered 2 replacements and lo' and behold I found it today in my stamp drawer, LOL!  And today I couldn't find my memento ink pad anywhere (thankfully I have 2 backups)--couldn't figure out what I did with it because it never leaves my desk ya know!  Well guess where it was.................under my butt pillow in my chair, LMBO (yes I sit on a pillow on top of my chair---I need the extra cushioning, hee hee)!  I HAVE NO IDEA how it got there I tell ya--it's an obvious sign of me losing it that's what, LOL!  I think I'm gonna take the snowed in weekend to just sleep and maybe find my brain along the way!

NewsBitz:

-Susana's Custom Art & Card Design has some new stuff in the store for ya!  New Magic Mesh in different textures & lots of pretty colors (I'll be doing a fun video on ways to use it real soon).  Also the Brand New Smooch Colors are in---both paints and spritz and the new Smooch Illuminate which is a must have!!

*********************************
Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamp Release

Today Pink Cat Studio releases some fabulously cute and fun digi stamps!  I had so much fun with these that it's almost a crime I tell ya, LOL!  You can find all of these cuties right HERE!  For this card I used "Monkey Hanging from Tree" and I just love him.  I used some DCWV "Nana's Kids" papers (see the lil monkey in the train, hee hee) and distressed all of my layers very heavily.  I painted some Basic Grey chipboard letters with my acrylic paints and added them with dimensionals--I think they add some whimsy & fun to the card.  Monkey was colored with copics and a few stickles added along with some PTI buttons.  I think this would be cute as a wall hanging too after it was given as a card!

This lil' guy is called "Frog in Love" and I just love him!  I made my card so that it was appropriate for many occasions not just Valentine's Day.  The papers are "Lilac Avenue" by Kaisercraft--I love the plum and green color combo.  The borders were done with a MS punch and the bow was made with my best buddy the Bow Easy!

Froggie was colored with copics and then I added diamond glaze to his eyes and the balloons (I colored the polka-dot balloon with my Copic Spica pens).  The outside of the circle got a think coat of stickles for sparkle and the sentiment is from PTI's "Tiny Valentine's" set.  Now make sure and visit the Pink Cat Studio blog to see all the great projects by the DT and don't forget to stop by the store HERE to shop :o)

See ya back here tomorrow!

Antsy Pants!!

Hiya Friends!!  Well it snowed AGAIN here late yesterday and now I'm really DONE with winter---and we're supposed to get another major snow storm on Friday!  HOW much snow can one gal take--not any more that's how much?!!  LOL!  This has been the worst winter EVER here in VA--and that stupid groundhog of course says more winter to come--well you know where that groundhog can go dontcha'! Giggle!  I'm keeping busy INSIDE crafting, working on future projects and reading--I'm reading the best book right now called "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt" (see sidebar for link), it's really good!  I'm still keeping to my Belly Fat Cure eating and I've lost 14 lbs so far so I'm pretty happy--although I did cheat the other day and had 2 small Reeses PButter cups, but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....don't tell okay!! :o) I HAD to have some chocolate, my migraine was killing me and my head told me to eat some chocolate to feel better...no really, I swear it did, LOL!!  Anywhooooo....thought you might want to share in my SNOW PAIN so here's a pic I took last night for ya!

Antsy Pants!!

So I found these very fun stamps while I was at the CHA SuperShow and they just gave me a good giggle!  I'm not a big bug girl, but something about these inkling ants just cracked me up ya know!  These are by G-Rated Stamps HERE and as I picked my set out (Inklings in the Kitchen) I knew immediately what I was going to do with them!  And if you don't like bugs, they have other cute stamps as well & great sentiments!  I kept the layouts simple with red, black and kraft cs and I embossed half of the red cs with my Asian CB folder--the gingham ribbon is from PTI.

I think these would be perfect for any man in your life or for really fun barbeque/picnic invitations don't you?  Since the construction of them is fairly simple, you could mass produce lots of these.  I went over the ants with Black Diamond Stickles for sparkle!  The "flippin' good" sentiment is by G-Rated Stamps as well--I love it!  I paper pierced the oval while the paper was still in my oval nestability die.

This one I traced around my nestabilitiy circle with my black Spica pen before I took off my die.  The sentiment is from an H&M Stamp set (sorry, no longer available) which I thought was just perfect!  Sometimes it's hard to create fun masculine cards but these stamps and colors made it super easy!

Hope these put a smile on your face today and maybe gave you a lil' giggle as well!  I'll see ya back here tomorrow with some fabulous NEW Digi Releases from Pink Cat Studio!!
