Happy Thursday and Happy Halloween. Tonight it seems it will rain and we're hoping it won't be cold for the kiddos to go out for trick-or-treat. My card for today is a center step card, a tutorial I got from Cindy. She is my fellow team member from SBC. You can check her post here.

SBC's Save the TaTa's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Scrapbook Blessings Club... Save the TaTa's blog hop!

If you are jumping in the middle, you can start at the beginning atwww.scrapbookblessings.blogspot.com, but hopefully you hopped over from Zenita's blog.  So let's get started...

It's October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I'm sure that many have been touched by this dreaded disease. We need to have Awareness for Mammograms for early detection. SO, with this being said, the talented Design Team and Facebook members of Scrapbook Blessings Club are ready to strut their stuff and show you just how easy it is to use the Tic Tac Toe Board in the SBC FB group as inspiration.

Here is the card that I did using the first row i.e Pink ribbon, Pink brads and Pink Beads of the Tic Tac Toe Board.

I was going to play with the first row from the top but stop dead since I couldn't find my pink embroidery floss!!! So, had to play with another row or column...Of course, I had trouble on where to place the Pink bead but I was able to find a spot. Phew!

Another fun note is that I don't own a lot of Verve stamps set and I had to include the word SURVIVOR in my tag. So what do I do? Eureka!!! I took the Sweet on You set, took out the sentiments " You're a lifesaver, You color my World & Can't bear it without you" and started playing...It took me a while to stamp just the alphabet and masking the rest but it was well worth it!!! Don't you think so?

My sketch comes from the The Heart Stamps

and lastly, a close up...

Hopefully this inspires you to remember to get the TaTa's checked when you see pink!!! Your next stop is Cristina.

Oh, did I mention that there will be a little prize given by Lynne Kirsch of a cross which she makes using her Embroidery Machine to one lucky person that comments.  Also, THE STAMPING CHEF is giving away the Fighter digi stamp too!  Just leave a comment and we would love if you followed the blogs but it is not a requirement.

If you would love to play along with the tic tac toe card game, you can share it in the special album in the Scrapbook Blessings Club Facebook group for a second prize offered by Lynne.

Here is the entire blog list:

What is Craftsy?

Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope you're doing great today! I would like to let you know that Craftsy is offering FREE, yes FREE, classes. Check out what they have. Enjoy!

What is Craftsy?
Craftsy is a worldwide craft community offering online classes. It also has a patterns marketplace where independent designers can sell their patterns; a supplies shop with great deals on yarn, fabric, and class kits; and a projects section where members share pictures of their latest craft successes. With over two million members and counting, Craftsy has something for just about everyone, in categories ranging from quilting, sewing, knitting, painting, photography, cooking, and more.

Why should I take a class online?
Online education isn’t just for schools and universities anymore. Craftsy courses provide you the convenience of a world-class instructor in your home, whenever you want to learn. Online education, no matter what subject, is a great alternative to in-person classes for a number of reasons.

With many online learning opportunities being on-demand, you are able to learn at your own pace, anytime. Online learning is a fantastic alternative to in-store craft classes for people with busy schedules or who have difficulty leaving the house. It also allows you to watch a troubling section over-and-over again, so you can see exactly how a technique is carried out, or refer back to your class for relevant concepts before beginning any new projects.

Here are the Free Craftsy Classes that I was telling you. What do you get? FREE classes!!!

SBC's Challenge #4: Twisted Easel technique

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone! Hope you're laying down cozily in your bed as you are reading this post. This week, SBC is challenging us with the Twisted Easel technique. What is that? Well, like the name says, it's an easel but twisted on its side! Now, how cool is that?

Here is what Mary from Cardztv has done:

and here's is my version using Bugaboo's Stella and Gus - Mariage. This cracked me up!

I went with a simple design since I wanted the image to shine. Love the sentiments too LOL. I colored the image with my prismacolored pencils and baby oil. The leaves are made with a stencil. Papers are from my stash.

This is the card when partly shut but it lays flat and goes in an A2 envelope.

Please check my fellow teamies for more inspiration here

You're invited to a ....... Party!!!

Happy thanksgiving Monday to all my Canadian friends!!! Hope you had a blast yesterday and that you had lots of turkey, pumpkin pies and cherry sauce. We had a simple family gathering but boy, are we stuffed! Lots of leftovers though...

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs called Cheers Sassy and she was given as part of a monthly progressive challenge over on Paper Craft Planet. As always, I have colored her using my prismacolored pencils with baby oil. I cuttlebugged the white background cardstock, inked it before I matted her with some bazzill cardstock, Papers are from a We R Memories kit.

If you missed on my tutorial to color with prismacolored pencils and baby oil, please have a peek here

My sketch comes from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and the sentiments are from the Simon Says Stamp July Kit.

SBC Challenge #3 - Triple Time Stamp Technique

Hi friends!  Jennyfer here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you the Triple Time Stamp Technique.

First, I have my tip of the day for you....Write down the measurements on the cardstock after you have cut down your pieces. First hand experience, I got mixed up in the measurements and had to re-measure again :-)

Onto today's project...

This is a card that I made for my mom. She loves blue and her birthday is coming up.

Here is what you need:

  • cardstock: blue and dark blue
  • adhesive
  • ink pad
  • paper cutter

Instructions:

  • First, cut your card stock base
  • Measure and cut all 3 layers as shown in Dawn's video tutorial. You will find it on the SBC's site.
  • Stamp your sentiment
  • Using your background stamp (in my case, I used the PTI stitching set), stamp all over the layers.
  • Adhere your layers (TIP - Make sure that you follow the designs of your stamping when you are gluing everything back together)

I hope your enjoyed today's project.

I have today's post over at ScrapBook Blessings Club where you can see what my teammates made for today's challenge.

And as always, comments are appreciated.

Thank you for stopping by and Have a blessed day!

Play

Happy Wednesday!!! Today I chose to play with Wagon Ride, a Friday freebie from Whimsy Stamps.  Digi Sketch Challenge has a sketch and the theme was boys. I followed both and this is what I came up with.

This is a close up of the image. I made my own clouds' background by fussy cutting some clouds from a cloud stamp (small but I love it), used my sponge and my Memento ink. As usual, I colored the image with prismas and baby oil. I fussy cut my own banner and wrote down the word "play" with my black gel pen.
