Bloggers Challenge

Happy Friday....I am happy to be back at participating in bloggers challenge. The theme for this weeks challenge was to make a birthday themed card. Thankfully, I had this card made before I went to CHA, and it just happens to work at the perfect time.

I am still recovering from wonderful CHA. What a amazing time I had. I got to meet the most amazing, creative people.

Kerry, Kim Howard, and me!

A bunch of us got together after a day at CHA and ate at the Cheesecake Factory! Yum!

I can't even tell you how much fun I had and how many laughs we shared. I am looking forward to next year, and hoping to see my new friends sooner than then.

I am heading to New York for the weekend for my daughters Gymnastics competition, so I will try to update with pics of new products tomorrow. Have a great weekend and happy creating!

Hogs -N- Kisses

Happy Tuesday. Thank you for stopping by. Did you have a good weekend? Mine flew by. I had to work on Sat night, and then my daughter had her first gymnastics competition on Sunday. She did so good. I am so proud of her. I will add some pics at the end of this post

So, onto my card. I am so proud of my self, I am using this card for 2 different challenges. I first chose my sketch and went with this weeks Mojo Monday., and then picked up a challenge over at KL Stampin N Scrappin. Their challenge was to make a card that was black and white plus one neutral color. Well, I have had this pig forever and I have never used him, so I thought I would give home a try. He was a pain in the tail to color, because He is so big, but I think it turned out OK. what do you think? Do you want to play in the KLSS black & white challenge? you should head over. She is offering prizes. We all like prizes..

Of course I had to share some photos of my little champ.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by. Happy Creating!!!!

I'm Diggin Ya!

Happy Tuesday!  Did you have a good weekend? Did you do anything special? My family and I had a very low key weekend.  I worked on Saturday and a full day Sunday, so we mostly just hung around the house.
I did make this card, which I have to admit I "truely" enjoyed coloring this image.  I have had this High Hopes stamp forever, but I have never inked it up.  This was such a simple card to make and I like how it turned out.  FINALLY.
Do you ever get into that creative funk. where you hate everything you make?  Well, that is where I have been for a couple of months now.  So I was pleased that I made a card which "I" thought was acceptable.  I will say my card was inspired by the amazing Nikki Estes

Well, that is all I have today.  I am off to get the kids on the bus, and then to work.  I will be back tomorrow with Inky Impressions challenge.  Have a great day and thank you for stopping by.

Hey Chickie

Good Morning, Good morning it's a happy day today!!!!!! The sun is shining, and I only have to work a 4 hour shift before I am off to a night with the Family. How is your Saturday? Any big plans?

I got some new Inky Impressions stamps and couldn't wait to ink them up. For this card I use Lili with chicks. I managed to get a card in for this weeks Inky Impressions challenge (masking, create a scene). I masked Lili and her chicks and put a hay stack behind her to create a little farm scene. I then masked lili and the hay stack to create my clouds. So, I think this counts.

I took the guessing out of my coloring, by using the packaging of the stamps. The Inky Impressions stamps comes with full color packaging. Great for those days that you don't feel so creative.

Well, that is all for me today. I hope to have a card for Monday. I am off to work. Have a SUPAH SATURDAY!!!!!!! Happy Creating!!!!!!

Supplies
Stamps: Inky impressions, High Hopes (hay stack), computer generated sentiment
Paper: DP ?(it wass in my stash for a LONG time)
Ink: memento black, copics
Misc: ctmh brads, laasting Impressions cloud maker, punches

Three Clover Thursday challenge

Good Morning!!!!! I hope you are having a wonderful day. The sun is out (and my kids slept till 8am), so I am off to a GREAT morning!

Today is Three Clover Thursday challenge. Today's challenge: BLING (glitter, rhinestones, shimmerz...etc...anything that SPARKLES!)

Bling, Stickles is my middle name, I LOVE bling! What a great challenge! I tried turning my card in a way that I could catch the light to show the sparkle on my card. Can you see it?

I used one of my High Hope stamps that I haven't inked up yet, and added some stars and stickles, and what did I come up with? HANNAH MONTANA!

When I was done making my card, my daughter asked to look at it, and when I showed her she said "Hannah Montana, and I have Hannah Montana sweat shirt that looks just like your card", and then I showed my hubby and he said "Hannah Montana". So, I guess I made a Hannah Montana kinda card (hehehehe).

This was a very fun card to make, and I love the image. It was a great image to practice my shading. My one problem......the black shoes. They look terrible. I have some real troubles using the really dark grey and black. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to help me out.

Well, that is all today. If you get a chance click here, and check out what the rest of the 3ct challenge team came up with (they are all soooo creative)! Have a Terrific Thursday and happy creating!

Hay There

Happy Tuesday all..... Did you have a wonderful Mother's Day? We went to see my Mother and Mother-in-law and then My husband and I went to the Red Sox game with my friend Pia and her hubby. Had a great day.

I made today's card when I was away in Vermont. I have a lot of High Hopes stamps that I have not even inked up yet, so I was on a mission to play with these super cute images. I used my cloud maker for the back ground. I colored the the hay, and the kids and cut them out and placed them, and then one of my friends had the "hay there" stamp. PERFECT! I don;t know who I will give this to, but I really enjoyed coloring this card.

QUESTION FOR YOU! Do you color with Copics? If no why (don't have any, intimidating, like my method better)? If no, what coloring medium do you use?

Supplies
Stamps: High Hopes
Ink: Copics, memento black, blue bashful blue su for the sky.

Three Clovers Thursday challenge

Happy Thursday all. one more day till the weekend. Any big plans? I have a christining, and Homework to do. I am in my last 2 weeks of school. I will Studying for finals as well. The weather here in NH is supposed to reach 80. Can you believe it. It hasn't been abpve 60 yet and now we are going straight to 80.

Today, Kerry's challenge is a Animal theme challenge. I love animals, and I have a ton of animal stamps, so you would have thought that this would have been easy, but I struggled. I wanted the card ti be PERFECT! I dug through my High Hopes stamps and decided to go with the pig, and then I couldn't find a layout I wanted to use. So, Where do you go when you are struggling for ideas? Splitcoaststampers. I am across a card by Artfully Ila, and decided I would use one of her cards for inspiration. So, my result was this card. I feel pretty happy with the results. What do you think?

If you get a chance, hop on over to Kerry's Blog and join in the fun. The three clovers inspiration team has some great samples of the challenge they did, so take a peek.

Ahhhh.....Spring (well, almost)

Good Afternoon.....It's Tuesday, the sun is shining, and I am starting to feel better(thank God)! Although it is still pretty chilly here (approx 45 degrees)I am starting to see signs of spring. The trees are forming buds, the tulips and Daffodils are sprouting, and the birds are chirping. It has been a REALLY long winter and I am going to embrace every single sign of spring with open arms. I can't wait to open the windows and pack away the winter coats. Oh, I can't wait!!!

Today's card was made for Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch challenge. Easter is approaching and I really want to use my New High Hopes bunnies, so I flipped the sketch to fit the bunny (rather large image). I am having a great time coloring these new High Hopes stamps.

I used some stickles on the ribbon for a little extra something, I also photographed it separately with hopes you could see it. For some reason sparkle doesn't show up so well in pictures or scans. I have found if you turn the card just right you can catch the right lighting and snap away. Can you see it??????

Don't forget that today is the last day of SU INKS& MORE sneak peeks. Head on over to their blog and check out the samples. They are FANTASTIC! All stamps will be available for purchase tomorrow. Have a great Day and Happy Crafting!!!!

Bloggers challenge #88 and a little Twilight

I am back from my brief overnight stay at Coco Keys Resort Indoor water park. I had a wonderful time with my family, but the resort was lacking. They had shut the little kids area down for over an hour, due to a bathroom issue. This would have been fine, but that area was he only place the little kids could go. Everything else was to big. We waited in line for 1 hour for some chicken nuggets and fries. We did complain to the manager, and we didn't get very far, until we were able to speak to the hotel manager. Which was very receptive to our complaints. He was so nice. He refunded all our money $209.00, and then offered us another stay that night for FREE, and he gave us another paid weekend at the resort for free.
We didn't have a terrible time, but things could have been better and that is why the hotel manager generously refunded us our money.

So, For today's Bloggers challenge, I altered a tin I had. This was very simple and one of the fastest projects I have done in a while.

Little of track, but for all you Twilight lovers out there, Sweet tarts have the Twlight version. Knowing how much I LOVE twilight, my husband saw these and bought them for me. I thought that was cool. The movie is be released on DVD on March 21st. I can't wait!!!!! Have you read the books? Did you see it at the movies???

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper: Paper: The new Minds eye paper: Ink. copics, Memento black!

Spring into Saturday!!!!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Are you feeling springy at all? Well, We had a small snow storm Thursday into Friday, and the kids had a delay, but today the Sunny is bright and the snow is melting, and I am hoping spring is on its way.

Today I wanted to share 2 cards I made with the same High Hopes image. Sometimes I feel like I have use the same images all the time, but I wanted to display how the Same image can look so different on a card. My first card is slightly on he more elegant yet cute side, and my second card is straight out cutesy (At least I think). Same image, yet different feel. What do you think?

High Hopes just had a huge release of new stamps, and of course I ordered. Now, I am just waiting for them to arrive and then I will be off to play. So, more High hopes cards on the way.

I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday, and happy creating!!!!

Happy Easter (early)!

It's a TERRIFIC Tuesday (I hope), and I have to tell you, I have already put in a weeks worth of work already. I had a Statistics test yesterday (not my best subject), and I have a Anatomy & Physiology test tomorrow night. I guess it wouldn't seem that bad if I didn't have to work tonight (argh).

On a much happier note, I did manage to get up at 5:00 am this morning and squeeze in a little stamping. Today's card was made for MJ's Mondays Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.

When I sat to make a card this morning, I was going to do another Valentines Day card, but honestly, I am sick of Valentines day already. I think I have been making V-day cards since the beginning of January. So, I pushed aside the pink, red and brown and went for some brighter more springy colors. I just happen to have the Urban Prairie paper pack from Basic grey, which has FANTASTIC Colors. I dipped into my stamp stash and started thing Easter, and when I think Easter, I think of this cute bunny stamp from High Hopes. I pent a long time coloring this precious bunny. I was practicing my blending. What do you think?

Well, I am off to study. I hope you all have a TERRIFIC day. If you get a chance, head over to MJ's blog and play along.

Happy Birthday Lucas, and thank you Kerry

My good friend Pia is having her sons 4th Birthday Party tomorrow and I wanted to make him a card. It's not always easy for me to make boy birthday cards, but I had just gone to my LSS today and had this card in mind, so I purchased this High Hopes boy clown stamp. This is not one of my favorite cards, but I have to justify it by thinking it's only for a 4 year old. My coloring wasn't perfect, and I kinda went a little crazy with my white ball pen. Well, whatever, it's homemade and it's done. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCAS.....

Supplies:
Stamps: High Hopes, SU
paper: CTMH
Ink: copics, memento
Misc: white ball pen

A big thank you to my BFF Kerry DC for my new favorite toy. Kerry bought me a new OTT light, and I used it for the first time tonight and it's amazing. Thanks so much good friend.
