Henry Ian Cusick talks the 'Lost' finale
Henry talks about the final day of shooting:
Excerpts from two interviews (via Cusickgallery.net) are below.
You can check out the full interview with ComingSoon at the source:
Q: With three shows left is there anyway that the finale is going to satisfy all of the fans?
Cusick: Probably not all of the fans. I think that's an impossible task.
Q: Do you think it will please general "Lost" fans?
Cusick: What's great about the show is that there are so many talking points. There are so many walks of life getting together to talk about the show and so many issues to be brought up and that's exactly what the ending will bring up. People will be talking about it for weeks afterwards and that's what the show has always done.
...Q: Was there a question of the show that you had as fans that did get answered?
Cusick: There was a point in the show where I thought I don't care about the answers anymore. I knew what I wanted from the ending and what I wanted the message to be. I like this thing of it coming from a place of love and coming from a place of no fear. All of a sudden it just seemed a lot bigger. Small questions I just thought I don't care anymore. I don't care why I can see the future. It didn't matter. It just seemed to be bigger than that. [Heather Newgen]
Interview with HitFix:
Actually, there's some confusion as to whether or not Cusick does, in fact, know how "Lost" ends."I think in act 11 there is a secret scene that no one got," Cusick says. "Only the people who are in it, but nobody knows. Everyone is keeping very quiet about it."
...How did the writers explain Desmond's place in the season to the actor?"They phone you up and say they don't need you. Oh, okay," Cusick recalls. "Basically the phone call was 'We don't need you except for the final seven [episodes] but you'll get a really cool storyline.' You have to just trust them." [Daniel Fienberg]

Henry Ian Cusick discuses Lost's series finale
Excerpts from two new interviews with Henry Ian Cusick are posted below. The first is from Vulture which you can read in full here. The excerpt is from TVOvermind which you can read here.
Was it in your contract that the episodes focused on Desmond need to be epic ones?
No, [laughs], I have nothing in my contract. It's been a fluke, really. When Carlton [Cuse] told me about the possibility about coming back, I had no idea what they had in mind. The episodes that I've been given have all been great pieces of writing and great fun to play. But now that the show is coming to an end I will not have another Desmond-centric episode. I'm delighted that it ended on one like "Happily Ever After."
So ... you're currently filming the finale. Want to tell us something about it we don't know?
Well ... all the actors have been given a script that contains ten acts. There is an eleventh act that we haven't got yet. And in that eleventh act, there's a secret scene that no one — not even the people that [are in] the eleventh act — have got the secret scenes. At the moment, we have, what, 24 days to shoot these two episodes, the series finale. I haven't been on set all that much recently, but, from what I understand, what they're shooting now has been really physically demanding. There's a lot of wetness and a lot of bruises. I think the stunt work is going to be pretty cool. [Mike Ryan]
TVOvermind interview:
Desmond is obviously one of the fan’s favorites. Are fan’s going to be satisfied with where he ends up?
You know what? I don’t know where he ends up yet, we haven’t been given the final chapter of the script so we’re all waiting for the season finale’s final act, so I can’t answer that honestly. I think the writers have done pretty good so far, so we’ve just got to keep going with them and trust that it’ll be good. I don’t know, and nobody knows how it’s going to end up.
....Has anybody made any plans as far as watching the final episode or what they’re gonna do when it airs?
I think there’s some sort of press thing happening in LA for the finale. I haven’t thought about it yet and I’m not entirely sure. At the moment I’m just thinking and concentrating on the work.
When do you guys actually wrap the season?’
We finish on April the 21st or 22nd, I can’t remember the exact date but in two weeks.
It’s gonna be a strange thing. I don’t know how I’ll react the day after, when I realize I haven’t got a job. So that’ll be interesting. [Jon Lachonis]

Henry Ian Cusick being sued for sexual harrasment
Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Desmond on the show "Lost," is being sued for sexual harassment.Source
Still developing.
EDIT; According to a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, Chelsea Stone claims that while working on the show, Cusick placed his hand on her buttocks and caressed the back of her body while making moaning sounds.
She also claims Cusick "placed his face on top of [her] breasts, moving his face from side to side." He then squeezed her breasts with his hands.
According to the lawsuit, approximately twelve days after this went down, Stone was let go. ABC and Grass Skirt Productions are also named as defendants. She is seeking unspecified damages.
Cusick's rep had no comment.

Lost without Desmond...
Would be a nightmare - less intriguing (what is Lost without the intrigue), less sexy, and less Scottish. I'm getting cranky just thinking about it. Despite all this, Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Desmond, recently hinted that he may not stick around until the show's end:
"Since he's not one of the Oceanic Six, my thinking is he's on the island. I am guessing there are some survivors and if they have the Oceanic Six that wants to go back, I am guessing some people are alive on the island and maybe Desmond is part of it. Or maybe not. Does he find Penny? I don't know."Then again, death on Lost isn't really what it seems - sometimes death is only the beginning on that show. Some, however are speculating that Desmond's fate won't be revealed in the season finale because Penny will appear in the episode, leaving audiences with yet another cliffhanger. Anyway, the two hour season finale of Lost is on tomorrow on ABC.
