Adam's Road and Beth Moore

Last week I had the privilege of attending two special events in town. This is pretty amazing considering the small-town nature of where we live. The first event was a Christian concert at our little Christian bookstore. It was neat because the bookstore has recently changed to a much larger location, so I was able to see it.

The concert was by Adam's Road. They are a group of five guys based out of Florida and have a great ministry. They own and operate a bed and breakfast in Florida along with tour as a music group. The amazing thing is they were all former Mormon missionaries that served two-year missions and have since left the Mormon church. Their songs speak of their journey out and testify to the saving work of Jesus.

All of their songs are based on Bible passages and therefore, they don't charge for their CDs! Amazing, huh?

The other event I attended I don't have any pictures from, but it was a simulcast with Beth Moore. The simulcast was live in Chicago, but we were able to watch live via a video stream and the internet. I've been to one other simulcast with her, and we had to travel out of town and spend the night, which was great fun, but it was also nice to stay local and see her. Beth is an incredible women's Bible study leader and I love working through her Bible studies or hearing her speak. I spent a whole Saturday listening to her with other Christian women in the valley and singing praise songs. It was a great event and at a time where I needed it most.
