Welcome back Project Life Monday Sassy Friends! Today's tutorial involves three more filler cards to help inspire you to be ready for the silly season that is almost upon us! Eeeek! Apart from my PL2015 filler cards, I am nowhere near to being ready!
This week I have created cards that involve both fussy cutting, pocket creating and more stamping using the gorgeous Kelly Purkey | All Decked Out clear stamps.
Merry Christmas | Stamped 3x4 Filler Card
step 1: Using the Merry Christmas tag from the October Afternoon Under the Tree Die Cut Tags and the deer head from the Kelly Purkey clear stamps, stamp the image on the lower edge allowing for the antlers and ears to show. Use a piece of scratch paper below your tag to prevent inking your work surface.
I've chosen to use the Hero Arts Ombre Ink | Pink to Red.
step 2: Trim a 3x4 card from the OA Under the Tree | Merry Making patterned paper. Adhere the tag to the center of the 3x4 patterned paper.
Holly Jolly | 3x4 Filler Card
step 1: Gather your supplies - smooth white cardstock, OA Under the Tree Cocoa Sipping patterned paper, the Holly Jolly cut apart from the OA Under the Tree Merry Making patterned paper, ombre ink & an ink blending tool.
step 2: On a piece of 3x4 smooth cardstock, ink the outer edges with the help of a blending tool. Leave the center of the cardstock as crisp as possible and once dry, layer a hand cut star using OA Under the Tree Cocoa Sipping patterned paper.
step 3: Layer the Holly Jolly cut apart on top of the star. Machine stitch in place for added texture!
Beginning to Look | 3x4 Filler Card
step 1: Gather your supplies - OA Under the Tree Gift Giving patterned paper, OA Under the Tree Merry Making patterned paper.
step 2: Fussy cut the snowman image from the patterned paper and using the reverse side of the same patterned paper, trim a 3x4 card.
step 3: Use the Christmas cut apart phrase from the Merry Making paper to layer across the bottom of the 3x4 card. The Christmas phrase is too wide and will need trimming.
step 4: To create a pocket for the fussy cut snowman to slip into, adhere the side and bottom edges only of the cut apart piece to the 3x4 card. Now you can slip your fussy cut image into the pocket along with any other journaling strips or ephemera keepsakes.
Thanks for visiting today. I hope you have found a little bit of inspiration using October Afternoon Under the Tree..x
