The Jump

I totally forgot about these pictures from back in August and meant to post them but...uuugh not sure what happened. Anyways....here they are!

This was one of the first good rains of the winter I think and they were dying to get outside and play in it. I was taken their pictures through the window and Emmy was really putting on a show and I couldn't believe that I totally caught her falling on her butt in the water. It didn't hurt her, but the concrete is sunken back there and the water pools so it was really really cold winter water. Poor thing! I think she was a bit annoyed with me for clicking one last photo of her crying. So funny and sad at the same time!

Look at how much fun she was having before the fall :)

Cute Pictures of Lilah

This photo makes me laugh!! She really wasn't giving me a dirty look.....she came around the corner not expecting me to be there with a camera and she was in the process of looking up at me when I snapped the photo. If you click on the photo it will open up bigger and it's worth doing.....such a nasty look on her face lol!

awww I love her in piggy tails! I'd do them more if I didn't think they were uncomfortable, but I remember how they made my head feel when I was little!

I hope everyone is having a great day and this cutie pie post made you smile!

Hayden's Birthday Party

Here's some photo's from two weeks ago when we went to Hayden's 1st Birthday Party! They had it at a kindergym which was such a great idea! There were so many kids and they all had a blast running, jumping, climbing, riding, and playing with toys. I didn't get any pictures of the birthday boy :( so if anybody has any of Lilah and Hayden together please send them to me! There also isn't any photo's of me with the girls. Unless I specifically tell husband to take a picture of us together then it doesn't get done....grrr why are men like that!?

This is the only picture of them together because they were usually running in opposite directions and doing their own thing!

Hey shorty...what are you trying to do!?

Maybe dad should help you!

Climbing through the tunnel...

She's wearing an Owl Applique Shirt that I made for her. You can't really see him but he's got lots of pink and red on his wings and belly and I paired it with a pink skirt. I love mixing pink and red together because it feels wrong haha... does that make me weird? I need to snap a better picture of this shirt to share!

Here's the red and pink shirt I made for Lilah. The pink elephant is made out of super soft fuzzy material. Don't mind the food stain near the neck..... I took this picture after she had worn it all day.

No Nut Allergies!

We took Lilah the other week to meet with her Allergen Specialist that we have been waiting 6 months to see. Emmy spent the day with Auntie Lia because the appointment was suppose to last a long time and it was in the city so I really needed to have only one child to concentrate on and to really make the most of our doctor visit.

The doctor laid out a check list in front of us and told us to tick off each thing we'd like to have her tested for. We picked all the nuts, shell fish, tuna, and egg. She took us into another room and pulled out all these little bottles that looked like essential oils and started numbering Lilah's back with a marker and dropping drops of oil on her. Next she pulled out a pile of needles that looked like diabetic blood testing needles and I was so worried of how Lilah was going to handle being pricked all over her back 15 times! After the first one I realized I had nothing to worry about because the needle was so fine that she didn't even feel it. She just sat on my lap and let the doctor do her thing....great! We then waited 15 minutes to read the results. I was so happy when all the nuts were read as NEGATIVE results!!! Meaning NO NUT ALLERGIES!! Egg tested positive but she doesn't have an anaphalactic response to egg so we need to keep her from having it but if by chance she does have some then we need to take immediate action but it's not life threatening. Such good news!

Lia brought Emmy home later on that day and she had such a busy day playing with her cousins they were all asleep by the time they made it to Gawler. Check them out.....

Sleeping in order of age too! Bethany 3 1/2, Emmy 2 1/2, and Jade 23 months.

Peek-A-Boo

These were taken a few weeks ago..sorry for my laziness! This was the start of Kingsley and Jan taking out there old kitchen and getting it ready for the new one. The girls were still getting over their colds (or as we found out later tonsillitis) so you'll see some glistening noses. They had a great time climbing into the old cabinets and getting all dirty!

Playgroup at the Park

Lilah laughing at her cousin Bethany!

Jade & Lilah .. from this picture you'd think there isn't much size or weight difference but this is very deceiving! Jade is nearly 11 months and Lilah 6 months!

Silly face!

Enjoying some fresh air and sunshine!

What big girls you are! Emmy fell out of her swing a few times but she's a tough one and didn't cry. Maybe I shouldn't have pushed her so high...but she likes it!

Movie Time

I took Emmy to her first movie the other day. Before the show they had characters walking around to greet the children as well as magicians, balloon people, face painting, and gift bags. She liked all the characters except Spiderman. He made her cry, but I think it was because he had no face.

She did so good in the movies (Ice Age 3) for the first 35 mins or so until the kid behind us started hitting us in the head with her balloon flower and the mother did nothing but stuff her face with popcorn, ggrrr! Emmy then thought "hey that's a good idea I want to do that too". We had a great time until then so I thought it was best to just go and keep it a positive experience and I knew she was nearing nap time. It was so sweet seeing her sit so happy eating her popcorn and drinking her water and her eyes were so big while watching that HUGE screen! I think the next time I take her to a movie she'll be able to sit through the whole thing, but I'm so proud of her...she wasn't scared of the show in the least or the loudness of it... pretty darn good for 17 months I think!

Public Meltdowns

Could someone please tell me what to do with a screaming child in the middle of lunch at a restaurant!? We had another meltdown yesterday while we're were out to lunch with family. I know everyone in the cafe wanted to harm me... I could feel the energy! She wanted to be down to run around and do what she wanted, which was not possible at this place. So she screamed and screamed and threw things until we left... and let it be known that we did not get to finish our meals or drinks. So stressful!!!

What do you to to handle this?! I need advice!

Sand Castles

Sunday we took the girls to Henley Beach. This was their first time going to one of my favorite spots! ( one of the perks for moving out here ) So it was nice and warm at home so we figured it would be just bearably to go to the beach, and we were right. It was very cold and windy, but Emmy loved playing in the sand and building sand castles with her dad. The sand on top wasn't wet enough to get us wet, but if you dug down a little bit it was damp enough to pack and hold shape. Dad would make them and she'd tear them down. Lilah didn't enjoy herself so much, but she was all bundled up and cocooned in the sling so she was just hibernating.

After that we went to a nice little park where Emmy got to swing high on the swings and run over a drawbridge and go down a big slide. I was watching from the car while I was feeding Lilah and I could see her do a big run across... sit her butt down on this HUGE tall slide and went down all by herself. She's such a little dare devil. Kim said that she gave him a nervous smile and then just went. So trusting!

Pete and REpeat haha She's definitely got her dad's eyes! And Emmy is just her dad all over!

Bad news is her Baby Dance class has been canceled for this term due to some health problems going on with the teacher's son. It was over before it began, but we'll sign up for next term. We'll go this week to Kinder Gym and see if that's something we want to sign up for. I'm sure it'll be a blast for her. From the pictures there's slides and a huge ball pit and places to jump and large play things. It was a huge hassle to take the stroller to baby dance since I had to go down a flight of stairs, but hopefully I'll be able to take one here for Lilah and it will work out great.
