We Have a Front Door!
Finally!
The guy even came to install it when he said he would - earlier than planned I think!
The door is a bit of a joke, though. We thought we were getting a nice wooden door with three tiny opaque windows in the middle. It seems he "told me" that it was only a facade, because what we got was a regular Israeli "Rav Bariach" door (special security door used here) with a wooden panel glued to the front. It's a nice panel peice, but it looks ridiculous!
But it's a door! We'll take care of getting a real wooden door later!
One more door to go on the side entrance to the kitchen...
Almost the whole house is painted. Fun, funky, bright, warm, color everywhere. I love color!
The bathroom vanities were deliverd and installed - AT 8 o'clock LAST NIGHT! I waited all day and they kept telling me, "He's there!"
It was an aggravating day, but slowly things are finishing up.
Today is clean and polish day.
Tomorrow the first of our stuff goes into the house and by Thursday evening, the third anniversary of our making aliyah, we will be living in our new home in Israel!
We won't have our own electricity. We will "borrow" enough for lights from our neighbor. But we won't have air conditioning.
Hopefully we will have plumbing!
But it will be ours.
A dream.
Come visit! The guest room will be ready!
